I FINALLY finished my (not so) little bag charm Fatson Todd. I've been wanting to make one but didn't want to just copy the og design (I've bought the big guy and it's arriving in a couple of weeks).

Just so everyone is aware: not a single part of him was measured or planned (as you can see, he's a bit wonky but he's my son!) so i had to improvise:

I made the body too rotund and a LOT bigger than i expected, so by the time i got to the jacket i didn't have enough felt so i had to pull some Frankenstein moves and decided to hide it in plain sight by making the seams visible with white thread. Leaning into the fact he wears that to missions and has to constantly mend them.

Some of my fave details:

The embroidered pant seams WITH his little gun holster and gun

And the ZIPPER detail. It was added bc the jacket looked short so i added the brown border and then the zipper part so it looks more cohesive.

He looks derpy and lopsided and the stitching is a bit sloppy but i LOVE him and couldn't stop giggling while making him. He is my SON, i BIRTHED him.

Currently rewatching Shameless (us) and can't stop thinking about Tomarry in the relationship between Ian and Mickey.

Specifically that scene in s04xe08 when Ian is manic in Mickey's house, says he's leaving and Mickey is all like "don't expect me to beg bla bla bla" but as soon as Ian is set on leaving he FOLDS SO HARD. Or when they're at the gay club and Mickey looks around and realizes he can kiss Ian out in the open

And it can fit either Tom or Harry depending on what point in time they meet like

40s Tom being a young overlord having everyone wrapped around his finger, meanwhile Harry is having an Episode (bc he time travelled, lost everything, pick your poison) and is not having Tom's shit and Tom is so desperate to have Harry pay attention to him he just gives in (in his head he tried to spin it as regaining control somehow)

Specially LOVE imagining Tomarry's beginning as Ian and Mickey beating the SHIT OUT OF EACHOTHER and somehow they end up making out because Harry has that special talent of getting on Tom's nerves he forgets to be all perfect and posh and wizardly and reverts back to Orphanage-Tom that just punches kids when magic isn't doing the trick. And once the high from the make out session is over Tom is HORRIFIED that he did something so muggle like getting into a fist-fight. Meanwhile Harry KNOWS what Tom is thinking and is getting a second high on Tom's crisis

I've been thinking of transcribing the statements like how they'd be stored at the Institute. I'm also redesigning the logo (it looks too modern for a guy like Jonah Magnus back in 1818), i want to make it look like traditional heraldry
