like everything sucks but once when i was waiting for the bus to leave the mall the bus driver delayed the entire bus just to walk over to the stop and comfort the woman sitting at the stop in tears, because her boyfriend had broken up with her, and her friend was also there trying so damn hard to cheer her up. and later on a passenger in front scrambled to get the seats up so that a passenger in a wheelchair could have room to settle more comfortably. a woman in the park was pushing her big old bulldog in a modified baby carriage because his legs didn’t work as well anymore, and the barista at the gelato place came up to me to ask “have you seen this weird bug yet??” and i looked up only to see the bug sitting on the mirror above my head.

like humanity is constantly connecting and loving each other in silent little ways, helping complete strangers who they share maybe three words with and may never see again. we love, and sometimes, that’s enough
