OP is talking about a societal issue, not a personal one. i would be willing to bet money — a lot of it — that most of the people reblogging this post are showing up to events like this anyway, we are just being aggressively mistreated a lot of the time when we do. you’re responding to somebody saying she is afraid of being stabbed to death in a city where that actually happened to a trans woman recently and saying “well yeah but that’s just how it is”. we know that’s how it is. that’s why we’re complaining about it.
