Oh, I'm late for posting these for Zoro’s birthday! But hey, better late than never! Thanks for the chance to join as a pinch hitter, @zoroartcollab

Also, hey hey! Been a hot minute since I posted on here, but I'll be posting my sketches and art every now and then from now on. I promise.

Hiccup was already usefull BEFORE toothless

In a village that regularly gets burnt to the ground and is in a constant state of rebuilding, you can't tell me that Hiccups smithing skills weren't super valued???

He's the only one aside from Gobber who we see working in the workshop, the two of them are maintaining the WHOLE villages armory. And Hiccup is not clumsy here, he knows exactly what he's doing and he's good at it.

And not only that, the village clearly adapted to dargon attacks with their giant pully-lifted torches and catapults - you're telling me Hiccup didn't have a hand in those?

Gobber of course takes some of the credit here, but we can clearly see that his style is quite different from Hiccups. Gobber just pops different bulky prostheses in and out while Hiccup has a sleek rotating one.

Clearly the village relies heavily on their tools & technology but doesn't appreciate it one bit. The same way that we are heavily reliant on garbage trucks but no one tells you to become a garbage collector.

Putting social status in dragon fighting was the only thing holding Hiccup back - and even that he would soon have figured out with his net-catapult were it not for his change of heart.

Considering all the technologically advanced people we meet later on, Berk really would have crumbled (even with dragons) were it not for Hiccup.

Conclusion: Berk in the first movie really needs to drink more Hiccup respect juice
