I hope there’s an afterlife so that whoever made this pot 2,000 years ago can brag that their cookware is so good it’s still usable literally millennia later. I think it’s kind of beautiful that this pot just got used as an ordinary pot. Like imagine you’re a smith and you make a pot so good that people are using it 2000 years later. You’d be proud, right?

Man, the TV critics all lost their shit over Mr. Robot’s uber-prestige Sam Esmail gimmick episodes, but meanwhile sentai can just do this, no prestige needed. See also: One Cut of the Dead.

Also the way they didn’t even bother justifying or disguising the safety crash pad is admirable. More shows should do that.

Also, props to them for making everyone look competent. Yeah, it’s clear that the heroes would wipe the floor with any of the villains in a one-on-one fight, but the villains aren’t actually trying to defeat them: they dramatically outnumber the heroes, and all they need to do (apparently) is for one of them to get away with the MacGuffin, and that’s a much more tenable goal. Having the extended action sequence also be an intense game of keep-away makes it much more interesting than your typical “everyone beats each other up” fight

hi crim!! love your sketches a lot!!! may i ask if you have any advice on practising lines :D like your sketches’ lineworks look so relaxed!!! its not cleared into a single outline but also doesn’t look messy at all! i wonder how would you usually deal with the lines if it’s okay to ask! do you more erasing messier ones, or do you redraw a more organised outline after shading, or do you usually one shot it xD tysm!!!

p.s. love your shadings too!!! that it’s so on point and makes the body looks solid! once talked to friends about the way you draw has made hojo looks very “real”, like he’s living in your page :D (oh and I’m specially thinking back of an older sketch you did of hojo in turtleneck wiping hands with a towel, owww ever since i discovered it in this may the image has been haunting me every once in awhile fr xD finally i ended up drawing a hojo in black turtleneck myself too just yesterday lvkndbsfaj so thank you sm for the inspo again!)

hello! happy you like the lineart, it's by far my favourite part of the process :)

all pieces start with a very rough outline of form, to determine the best composition. accuracy isn't important, but at this point i can usually see the final image already. if the composition isn't popping at this early point, there's no use continuing.

eg,

for the sketchy pics where the lineart is still visibly rough, the next step is just to build on top of the composition sketch on a new layer. so the above pics become this:

the looseness of the lines comes from fudging details that aren't important. if the final picture is more about vibes and feeling and not intended as, say, a splashy poster page, this is where I would stop. shading comes after this part.

for poses that i'm more confident with, sometimes i will skip step 2 and instead just go over/erase lines in step 1 until the result looks ok. the lines will look messier but in some cases can add to the mood as well.

for pieces that are intended to be posters, like all the card artwork, there's usually between 1-8 different lineart layers building up to the final image, then a single clean lineart layer on top.

And when I say "treated like crap" I'm not talking about "refusing to date". We all have our preferences and we have to respect it. I'm talking about going out of their way to be mean and insulting outside the romantic scenario, like in class, work, family or friends reunions...

Makes you have less empathy for them, if any.

Between the Tower and the Wedding, Victor gets visited by a colleague from the Academy that reveals himself as a vampire who thinks Victor is cool enough to deserve immortality. Dealer's choice if they sex about it or if they stay in touch after.

Obviously Victor is like fuckin turn me this instant.

He is bummed to realize this will not fix his leg, does not grant him any additional supernatural powers, beyond the ability to heal Most injuries. Slowly.

This means when his Creature comes a'callin, Victor is still swung around like a rag doll

The scene is entitely canon compliant until Victor shoots Elizabeth

Instead of lying there like a dolt, he scrambles to her and force feeds her his blood. People start pouring into the room and Victor tells the Creature to go, and all of this Sucks so yeah, he's leaving but he will be Back

Elizabeth shifts from pain-induced disorientation to utter clarity and immediately starts slapping the shit out of Victor for a) SHOOTING HER, b) being a freak who BLED on her, and c) YOU BASTARD YOU SHOT HER

I have no idea where it goes from there, but the Creature has his two most influential ppl nearly as indestructible as he is and he didnt have to do a goddamn thing but stand there and be pretty

Of course Elizabeth would want to find him. Of course Victor would invite himself along (if he didnt get put in jail for attempted murder)

Theres a lot of chaos that could happen pleeeease some adopt this plot bunny and help it grow Big and Strong

Putting Victor in jail would be tricky since Elisabeth won't have a wound to show for it, plus he's still a nobleman so his word weights a lot more than hers, but she can ditch him anyway and go find the Creature... With Victor following her.

This is food for a very interesting AU

It wouldn't be her word against Victor's, it'd be WILLIAM'S against Victor's. Attacking a woman on her wedding night in what looks like a SA gone wrong. The blood where it is on her gown, in the smaller amount that would happen, idiot dudes might assume she's no longer pure. Victor has stolen something that was William's by right of his engagement. Basically he stole what William purchased.

The only thing I can think of @7 in the am that might save Victor is Elizabeth going FUCK THIS NOISE and immediately rushing out to find the Creature and William fearing the Creature enough to believe Victor when he tries to pin it on him in Elizabeth's absence. Esp if William sees the Creature flee himself. Then again if William is fast enough to see the Creature gtfo, he's likely fast enough to try and stop Elizabeth

THEN AGAIN Elizabeth has a fresh mouth of fangs and could bite his hand to get away.

Christ she would have every dude in the place attempting to hunt her down and get her back, but that may give Victor the time to explain and William enough leverage to threaten the truth out of him. There are guns at hand after all.

So ha, yeah, sorry, kind of became a vampire behind your back and kinda just saved her life by turning her. And he didnt shoot Her, he tried to shoot his creation and the crazy b THREW HERSELF IN FRONT OF THE BULLET.

William would want to leave him behind to look for her but Victor would be like no i can totally sense where she is/follow their scent (depending on what vampire senses the author allows him) and the bros could sneak out some side door so the literal mob of dudes already looking dont see them and invite themselves along

Mob of dudes sing kill the beast running one way, Lizzie more than capable of hiding or baiting them off the path by throwing some piece of her outfit on the ground. The bros actually on her tail but she's got a good 10 minute head start at least.

And if she keeps traveling once she finds the Creature, it could mean they get more than 10 minutes to talk alone. If someone wanted that. Having them just hide in a cave and hope no one will look for them also works and would mean the whole cast can hash it out sooner
