Gotta love tgcf, because no other novel would ever be able to convince me that Xie Lian's reaction to the Cave of 10000 gods was normal. But here? We know, Xie Lian has seen shit. We know he has the tolerance level of a rock and we also know he trusts Hua Cheng deeply.

So while HC is nervously sweating and slowly bursting into panic and Mu Qing and Feng Xin are desperately trying to plan their flight from the obviously insane and obsessive ghost king, Xie Lian is just like "Oh wow, that's sure a lot of statues of me. Well done. Should we move on?"

FTH Bind Auction: Book 1

So, I participated in the Fandom Trumps Hate craft bazaar this year, and despite promising myself i would not take on too much extra stuff i ended up making books for two people instead of just the one.

Whoops?

Anyway, the first bind was for an anthology of several stories by Heliopauseentertainments. Auction winner @tangentially-displaced said a simple cover was good, so i decided to get carried away about everything else.

Every story has a paper vellum illustration to go over the plain text title page. Each story also has a title font not used elsewhere in the book. Final version is over 400 pages, but i don't remember by how much, and bound in split-board style.

The cover is done in Duo polar, which is extinct in the wild, and which I only have via a trade with someone else from the @renegadeguild discord. Endpapers were bought specific for this project because one always needs to buy more paper, especially marbled paper. Endbands are hand sewn in Japanese silk, and titles are stenciled using acrylic paint and very carefully placed adhesive vinyl, which was cut with a machine.

Had an amazing time working on this project and was thrilled when it got to the recipient without trouble. Cross-border shipping is super chill right now after all.
