Rulan, after JW Waterhouse’s Cleopatra.

I decided that this would be titled “Rulan” rather than “Jin Ling”, with the thought that the setting of the painting, somewhere in Koi Tower, is one where people are more likely to call him Jin Rulan. I also considered titling it “(New) Sect Leader Jin” but I thought that would be confusing, and “Rulan” better parallels the original painting title.

Do you know how hard it is to find a reference for Fairy? I liked the fluffy slightly dopey (for a husky) looking version in the live action drama, only turned up two blurry dog images in my searches (everything else was a winged humanoid fairy), so went looking on Pexel for “red husky” to try and get some better reference so she didn’t look too whack.
