Hello! I used to have a tumblr back in its earlier days but I've made a new one to better refect the changes I've gone through as a person

This change is brought in light of the new tiktok ban. I might be loosing my platform to spread good trans information and tips. So I will be unloading more stuff here as a backup social media platform!

Some information about me:

I am a trans man (ftm)

I am also queer, I feel it fits my identity the best

I am engaged to the most beautiful perfect wonderful person in all of existence, past existence, and to ever exist.

Some of my posts might be about how much I insanely love this woman and could happily dedicate my life to breathing her air and worshiping the ground she walks upon like a temple. But I digress

I have a hoard of cats, dogs, a fet tailed african gecko, some gerbils, and they are all my babys

I have an...interesting taste in music

One fun fact about me is whenever people try to describe me, they often just say "that is the most Li individual i have ever met"

In honor of my first successful Hormone Replacement Therapy appointment I wanted to give a special shout out to @sixstringsouth for my first ever hate comment, and (even more surprisingly) ONLY hate comment on this blog!

When I first saw your comment I promised myself I wouldnt give you any kind of attention or spot light, because I was working on building my community, building myself, and making a safe blog for trans mascs, not only documenting my journey, but sharing others stories and transitioning experiences.

You commented on my second-ever post about transitioning, and now I have hundreds, and an amazing community around me of proud LGBTQIA+ people of all ages, that has only grown and flourished. I wanted to commemorate your comment, for giving me the push I needed to put my all into advocating, sharing, posting, and working towards transitioning.

Hey! Just want to make an announcement that this blog IS safe for minors to interact!!!

HEY!!! Trans tips #5!

It's okay if it takes a while for you to transition!

Currently i have an appointment with a Gender Health Clinic set for July. This appointment is for me to be able to start Testosterone. Until then I can do nothing to medically transition.

But you know what? You don't have to medically transition as soon as possible! It's okay! This is the soonest available to me, until then I will be clearing out my wardrobe, coming out to more people, changing my appearance to better fit my style and my identity, and all of that is okay!

It's alright if you feel like your transitioning is in a stand still because you don't have the resources or means or time to transition, you're still valid

Never question if you're still valid just because it's taking you time to transition, you're valid no matter what!

It feels weird, for me, like being in some sort of trans limbo right now

But it's okay to feel uncomfortable! The days will pass and you will look different, and you'll be okay! I'm proud of you!

Just wanted to bring this back to the front of my blog to say that my appointment is officially in a week! Im so scared/nervous/excited that I have the opportunity to transition the way I want. Trans tips #3!

I feel like this is said over and over and over but I wouldn't be a good Trans Teacher unless I reminded you to Please Practice Safe Transing!

(I don't know how else to word this)

If you wear Tape! Don't tape your Nips! If you do, get pasties or something! Use proper tape! Not duct tape or packing tape / ect.! Take care of your skin! Use baby diaper wash cream and let your skin heal before you tape again! Do Not Rip Your Skin Off For The Sake Of Taping!!!

If you Bind! Even if it's exceptionally tight sports bras! TAKE! THOSE! FUCKERS! OFF!

You should spend at LEAST an hour outside of binders for every 2 hours you spend binding! That's just half the time! Take it tf off!!! The next post will be about rewording how you think you talk to yourself so look out for that!

DO NOT SLEEP OR EXCORCISE WHILE BINDING!!!

Drink lots of water! Stay hydrated! Tea or Coffee is not Water!!! Yes it contains water! But buddy, you body needs pure, unflavored, no additives water to help flush your kidneys and your system!

I know your dysphoric, please don't wear your hoodie or jacket if you are Too Hot! If it's warm enough to the point that you are sweating! Don't wear your hoodies and jackets!!! Please!!!!!

Take your other medicines and eat foods! It helps your meds work and your body work and your mind work and for the love of Fuck eat something!!!

In (late) honor of pride, I just want to reiterate something i didnt in this original post, which is, even with trans tape, "boobie" tape (what i use because its at my local Walmart for cheap), Calisthenics tape, whatever you choose to use,

TAKE IT OFF IN THE SHOWER

The warm water will help remove the adhesive without ripping your skin. The skin on and around your chest, shoulders, and back are very thin and sensitive, PLEASE take a shower to remove it and your skin and I personally will thank you!

This is one of the posts I can explicitly pinpoint as helping me realize that I might not be cis. The biggest symptom of being trans is wanting to not be your gender. It can also be dysphoria, it can also be euphoria, it can also be presentation, but wanting to be something else is all you really need.

This is one of those things where you can go 25+ years of your life not realising that actually no not everyone secretly wishes they were some mashup of male and female and that you are, in fact, genderfluid as fuck.

You can want to be another gender.

You can want to divorce all connection to the gender you were born into.

You can want to keep it as an origin point that shapes your journey.

You can want to be more than one gender at once.

You can want to be more than one gender, at different times.

You can want to be no gender.

You can want to be sort of in between genders.

You can want to be both genders.

You can want to be rid of gendered body parts you already have.

You can want to keep gendered body parts while also being another gender.

You can want to be rid of them but not want the side effects of excising them.

You can feel dysphoria at being shaped like/viewed as/treated like a gender you don’t want.

You can feel euphoria at being shaped like/viewed as/treated like a gender you do want.

You can change your mind or adjust your goals or refine your wishes.

You can be stationary and fixed in your identity.

You can be fluid and changing.

You can be extremely gendered in your presentation.

You can be not very gendered in your presentation.

You can be androgynous.

You can be a little of both.

You can be a lot of both.

If gender is a line you can cross, as the words trans (across/on the other side of) and cis (here/on the same side of) indicate, you can cross it in any way you like, including dancing on top of it.

One thing that kept me from coming out or admitting I was trans for so long was the idea that "if im trans i have to transition" which i felt like I wasn't ready for yet.

I always felt like I was too young or broke or didn't have the right ideas, mainly. I just... I didn't want to transition just yet. I always felt like I could have been trans for years and years before I ever came out, but I didn't want to say it because I knew i didn't want to transition just yet.

All this to say, I never thought about the fact that, just because I didn't want to transition right then, that doesn't mean that I'm not trans, and that I have been trans for years.

Absolutely, if you're young or old or just considering the possibility, or you've ever considered the idea that you want to be trans, you do not have to transition to be trans! You are valid no matter what!!! Whether you just want to wait, or you don't want to at all, you are absolutely valid, and I believe in every single one of you!

Screenshot of my own post for context and because I don’t want what I’m about to say attached directly to something I’m trying to keep somber and mournful, but June isn’t even over and I’ve had to block three different cis people who decided to leave stupid hate comments on this. I didn’t get screenshots of those cause it’s not worth my time but can you imagine being callous and spiteful enough to spew shit on somebody wanting a moment of silence for trans men who were forced to live with their gender dysphoria their entire lives as their community forced them to live under deeply misogynistic cispatriarchal gender roles?

But so far I’ve gotten them making it about cis women (because acknowledging trans men at all is misogynistic I guess), calling me a raging misogynist because apparently this means all women like being mothers and housewives (a “so you hate pancakes” response), and claiming the cure for gender dysphoria is growing up (I’m nearly 30 and still wish I’d been born with a dick, no amount of growing up is going to make me stop feeling kind of shitty every time I have to sit down to piss).

The post has 5k notes so it stands to reason some cis people knew to just join the moment of silence with their lit candle and reblog quietly, and while I’m not enthused about handing out cookies for doing the bare minimum, I don’t want anyone walking away from this with a more doomer mindset here so I have to mention them.

Happened to me alllllll through high school, to the point that I, the blue-haired "weird girl" have started questioning if I really want hormones with only a month to go until my appointment

I saw and heard this same rhetoric pushed constantly in my high school and it makes dismorphia so much more difficult to fight ESPECIALLY since I live in the same small town where these people still see me on a daily basis. Im happy I surrounded myself with such a good support group that want to see me succeed but transandrophobia is still not widely discussed enough. Ive become a big advocate for those "weird" little non-passing trans men to continue working towards their goals and never give up
