Jack’s the type of guy who wears a plain tee, backwards cap and jeans to pride while Robby wears one of those tank tops that has the armholes down to his waist and you can literally see through it because it barely covers him (used to be a tee from some AIDS organisation he volunteered at but overtime the sleeves had to be cut off for it to still be wearable)
Jack begrudgingly accepts when someone offers to paint rainbows on his cheeks (he lowkey loves it) and Robby has the classic pride flag tote bag that at this point is old enough to vote and kinda crusty but Robby loves it and takes it out all the same because he’s sentimental like that
Jack puts all the stickers he gets on his tee and jeans looking like a human advertisement but Robby keeps them to throw into his keepsake box as memorabilia
they take lots of pictures ever year and Jack manages every time to find some baby queers with glitter (not that he’d ever admit he does it on purpose) so he ends up sparkly and looking like Edward Cullen in all of the pictures
Jack and Robby my beloveds at pride, both pushing 50, happy and content at being free and together and seeing young people celebrate what they couldn’t when they were young (both completely unaware they’re both senior queers who are such a big example and inspiration to baby queers that you can be happy and old and greying and queer)

AU where Ask lives lol
They meet in college
Ask is an English major and Stan is undecided, but considering Chemistry (he became interested in pharmaceuticals after his experience with how useful caffeine pills could be)
They don’t actually go to the same school. Since he was so focused on football throughout most of high school, Stan is doing his GenEds at a community college
Ask only applied to universities minimum 2000 miles from his family because he needed to get away from the drama, which is how he ended up in Ohio
Stan finds out he isn’t stupid, he’s dyslexic! So he hires a cheap tutor from the local university
Ask is the most patient and understanding person Stan has ever met. He explains things softly and never gets upset when Stan gets something wrong. He also wears the cutest, too large shirts. Stan imagines him in his old Letterman
Stan isn’t an actual frat boy, he dropped that crowd when he quit football but he acts and dresses enough like one that Ask is surprised he enjoys his company
Soon they start hanging out outside of tutoring. Every time Zeke hosts a party, Stan invites Ask but it’s not until Halloween that he accepts
Zeke offers them something for free, “friends and family discount,” Stan takes it and assures Ask it’s safe but it’s totally fine if he doesn’t want to
Taking nondescript pills isn’t technically against any of Ask’s rules, so he decides to try it
30 minutes later Ask is on his back in the upstairs bathtub with Stan on top of him as enjoy a sloppy make-out
It’s not the most comfortable location, but it was the only unoccupied place in the house. That is until someone comes in to take a piss. Stan shuts the shower curtain and they lay there trying not to laugh while the person finishes.
When they’re gone, Ask offers for Stan to come to his dorm and prays his roommate isn’t home
He’s not, and they have an eye opening night
The next morning, Stan says he wants to take Ask out on a date and it’s a quick progression from there. They’re basically attached at the hip
Ask’s new favorite way to spend the afternoon is following Stan to the gym and watching him work out over the top of his book
Sometimes, when the gym is almost empty, Stan is able to convince Ask to join him in the shower and they both leaver filthier than they arrived
The thought of being away from Stan for the whole summer is worse than being with his family, so Ask slyly suggests that Stan comes with him
Stan’s like “sure I’ve never been to Washington 😃” having no idea he’s about to spend weeks with the most unnecessarily dramatic people on earth
Now that their family house is gone, Ask and Stan end up sharing a room with his sister. The first week is fine until she walks in on them and demands Charley give up his room to them and bunk with her instead
It’s amazing how well Stan takes all the ribbing Ask’s siblings dish out because the crude jokes have Ask constantly hiding his face under his collar
But Stan isn’t embarrassed to hold his hand or kiss his cheek in public, so Ask decides the jokes are a fair trade

We all know she has the patience of a saint and takes her time. Perfect for when an old grumpy man doesn't want her to check out his inflamed scar tissue or dodges questions about his medication. She just waits him out or tricks him until he finally shows/tells her.
I feel like they first met when he got locked up for punching someone outside of the local pub. Jack, as the sheriff, called her over since Al-Hashimi was out of town so she could take a look at Robby's hand and face. The grumpy guy was a bit unwilling at first but Samira won him over by explaining what she was about to do and use. Simpel but effective.
A very rocky start but atp they're on kinda safe ground.

Okay listen. Here me out. I am very much ACAB in this household BUT it is a very small town, just a couple hundred people, so somebody had to. Also it fits.
He is the smalltown Sheriff but also does Firefighter stuff. If some shit goes down you call him.
Obviously Parker and Shen are his Deputys. Even tho Parker also coaches the kids baseball team on the side and Shen...well...if he's not in the police station he haunts the local bakery.
