A big part of the reason of why I believe Spike is a good partner for Buffy is because of how I saw him behave with Drusilla when she was sick. Like yeah he is a hot and edgy vampire , but he would also nag Buffy about not drinking enough water.

That woman is the most exhausted and wound up creature in that series and she deserves someone that would fuss over her

He knew she was struggling with juggling work and everything else so he gave her a fun night of drinking, showed up at her next job and offered to get her money so she could quit, and when she refused he hung around the alley like he was standing guard to make sure nothing else messed with her

It also stands out to me that season 6 started with all the Scoobies working as a team to patrol every night but as soon as Buffy came back they stopped. Except Spike, he was always offering to go on patrol with her

it actually kinda blows my mind that the writers didn’t fully close the door on bangel and kept acting like they were a possibility after I Will Rememebr You. for all of btvs s3 were told over and over again that they cannot be together because of his curse. and in I Will Remember You the main take away from that episode is that angel would not become human and be with buffy if given the option because he believes buffy’s love for him will get her killed. that should be the end of it. no matter what they can’t be together. what does it matter if angel fulfills the shanshu prophecy and becomes human. he literally already decided that it still wouldn’t work. why are we still doing this dance and forcing both angel and buffy to regress by several years so they can act like love sick teenagers every time they’re in the same room. am i the crazy one.

Not to be the most basic person ever but the out for a walk bitch scene is truly a spuffy all-timer. She starts by hitting him. She calls him William. She’s sooo annoyed with him and he’s so pathetic and bad at lying. He’s so weird, dunks on Riley, and leaves her looking utterly baffled. And then you see all the cigarettes and see how long he was hanging out outside. Also she just looks really pretty there.

But he sees Buffy upset and even though he came there to kill her all that matters to him is that she’s upset and he wants to make it better.
