I had a dream last night that I ran away from fascists and ended up at this farm that was full of this weird but very large prehistoric animal that was like a fluffy Tapir and I want to know if it actually exists. It was about the size of a Dairy Cow.

after playing deltarune chapters 1-4 i am losing my mind over how spamton and tenna are, or at least were for a while, somehow the most ubiquitous topics in the fandom. the tenna segment in chapter 3 is fine. like it's pretty fun but not much else. it PALES in comparison to like the last 10 minutes of the chapter though it's actually insane
is it a weird route thing?? like THAT would make sense to me. and i dont mean "in weird route you get 5 lines of Vague Ominous Dialogue", i mean if the tenna plot is completely different in weird route im willing to concede SOME interest

my favorite memory loss related plots (sometimes u can also play it as a time travel plot) are the ones where the version of a character who HASN'T experienced a certain event but Knows the outcome has to retroactively figure out Why they did all that, because from their currents perspective it feels out of character for them.
you can make it a change of heart in the event that gets forgotten, but i think it's easy to make that really anticlimactic. MUCH more interesting, to me at least, is the idea there's some factor unknown to the reader that influenced the character's judgement during the event (especially if we saw the event and THINK we know everything that happened)

One way to get tasks done in the day is to make yourself a Chekhov's List. Put all of the things you have to do on a list, and now that they've been revealed they'll need to be completed by the afternoon (third act) and when you've completed something you can Chekov that task from the list
