LOS ANGELES
Hiiiii guyysssss <3
Los Angeles is home to one of the first gay rights groups to be formed in the US, The Mattachine Society, which was started in 1950. Since then, LA has been on the edge of LGBTQ issues - Griffith Park, for example, was the home to the first “Gay In”, where LGBTQ individuals gathered together in the name of solidarity.
For tonight’s show we are partnering with Safe Place for Youth. Since 2010, SPY has grown from a volunteer-only organization to a staff of 13 professionals. SPY serves nearly 1,000 homeless youth ages 12-25 in Los Angeles, with a disproportionate number of those youth identifying as LGBTQ.
SPY offers programs such as drop-in services, case management, education and employment support, and health care to assist their clients in transitioning to a stable life away from the streets. They are super connected with the homeless youth population in West LA, and work hard to provide a positive, trauma-informed environment for them. As well as offering meals and clothing, SPY officially added showers to their facility in July. Amenities like this give the center a home-like feel, allowing young people to feel safe and relaxed while receiving life-saving support.
We’d love for u guys to bring new socks to donate to Safe Place For Youth. Bring at least one to be entered in a raffle for a ticket upgrade <3

PHOENIX
Good morning everyoneeeee,
Today we’re in Phoenix, Arizona <3
Phoenix is home to a vibrant LGBTQ scene, in the Melrose District of Central Phoenix, you’ll see various restaurants and storefronts touting the LGBTQ Pride flag
In Phoneix we’re going to be working with One-N-Ten. This organization makes a huge huge huge impact for local LGBTQ youth and young adults by creating a safe space that encourages individuality, engages them with the community, and empowers them.
An amazing program run by One-N-Ten was started March 2012 called Q High. It provides LGBTQ and Allied Youth a safe space to study and earn their high school diplomas. Q High offers various subjects like Math, English, Science, and History. Students can learn at their own pace, from Core to Advanced Placement. Q High also has elective courses in Public Speaking, Anthropology, Green Design, and Technology. The program is available online encouraging students to follow their interests in a safe environment.
Now, more than ever, we need to create safe, comfortable learning spaces for LGBTQ youth and this is why One-N-Ten’s work is so so so important.
If u guys want a ticket upgrade we’re asking you to bring a new stick of deodorant to donate at the show. Bring at least one to be entered in a raffle for a ticket upgrade.

there are only two types of demons: • your hidden demons • sam and dean
When I was in 9th grade, I had this mean friend who raises his middle finger to people who look at him. And there's one time when my sensitivie girl classmate looked at him then cried because she couldn't take his rudeness.
Sometimes, I loathe fun like it was my life-long rival. And sometimes, I cherish fun like it is a good friend of mine. I lost the ability to even. oh my god.

‘Chosen Family’ - words by Elena Senechal-Baker
This just made me so happy. #Love it!
I don’t get people who try counter the BLM movement with the “look, I’m not racist, I have black friends” line.
If you have black friends then
WHY 👏🏻 AREN’T 👏🏼 YOU 👏🏽 FUCKING 👏🏾 WORRIED 👏🏿 ABOUT 👏🏿 YOUR 👏🏾 FRIENDS 👏🏽
I live in fear for my black friends.
I worry that my black Jewish friends will be stopped by the cops guarding our synagogues because they don’t “look Jewish” enough
I worry that two of my friends who are both black men in interracial marriages with biracial sons will be suspected of kidnapping their own children because their little boys have fairer complexions
I worry that my friends in STEM will be stopped by campus police on suspicion of breaking into the labs in which they are PhD students and lab managers
I worry that my friend who is an AD for various films and TV shows will get pulled over when she’s on a location shoot somewhere rural and get assaulted
I worry that the black librarians I work with won’t make it home if they run an evening program or work a late shift on the desk one night
Like, forget political ideology for a minute. If you aren’t worried about your black friends being victimized by police brutality then YOU ARE A BAD FUCKING FRIEND.
