I want a BatFam au where Jason’s still not fully there when he returns to Gotham after coming back from the dead but instead of seeing Tim & going oh no, I’ve been replaced he goes oh no, this is baby brother and therefore obviously Tim is now his responsibility.

So then he just regularly stalks Tim on patrol and jumps in to help when he’s fighting bad guys and Tim’s just internally screaming because why does this random vigilante keep popping up, beating up people for him and then patting his head or ruffling his hair before disappearing into the shadows

Bruce never sees this mysterious vigilante except for the few blurry pictures Tim managed to take while fighting henchmen and is also very confused

Dick is the one to figure it out after having a discussion with Tim about this mysterious stalker and how he’s gonna help him figure out who it it is

The conversation pivots to how he feels bad he wasn’t there for Jason more, how he feels like he should have protected him, his little brother and he’s gonna be here for Tim cause he isn’t going to lose another little brother and - omgod! It’s Jason! Jason’s the vigilante! Jason’s back!

Not sure how far the grappling hook gun (official title, the grapnel launcher), but here’s the information i found:

In the Batman: Arkham game, the line launcher (similar to the game’s version of the grapnel launcher, but it works horizontally) can go 100 meters

I’m pretty sure we’ve seen Batman grapple to the top of Wayne Tower, which is over 1000 feet tall according the wiki, so it can go at least 1000 feet, which is just over 333 yards, which is about 13,316.67$ :)

So, each suit is about 9,715$, not including the cost for gas grenades, de-cel jumplines, batatangs, and “disposable equipment” (- Tim)
