When I say "I really enjoy comedy" out loud, I inevitability also follow it up with the inner elbow in the ribs, "Come on Liz, who would hates comedy!?" But nevertheless, I really find solace in comedy. Its personal frustration, confusion, and pain flowing out in glib phrases from one individual to a crowd of individuals and everyone finding that OMG they can relate to so much! And it reaffirms that we arent alone in our hatreds, fears, and WTF moments!... we humans hate to be alone, no matter what inspirational bullshit quotes people post. We spent our first 9 months of existence ATTACHED AND INSIDE another human being! - and we are never completely and utterly alone ever after that. We're surrounded daily by our kind. I like people.
