My mam was over at my nana's house today and my nana's 104 year old next door neighbour, Mrs Nolan, aka the sweetest old woman in the world, popped over.
A few months ago when my mam was visiting Mrs Nolan, she was marvelling at all of Mrs Nolan's lovely crochet, and casually mentioned that her daughter (me) wanted to learn how to crochet. Mrs Nolan then filed this information away.
When my nana was visiting her at some point, she ended mentioning that I do embroidery, because my nana LOVES the fact that I do embroidery and even told the girls in her quilting class about me (my nana is the BEST). Mrs Nolan then filed this information away.
When Mrs Nolan saw my mam today, she decided to bring over a big bag of the most beautiful pastel wool I have ever seen, and a giant frame "for her to show her work in" ("her" being me). How SWEET is she??? I cannot crochet at all because of how badly my disability affects my hands, despite the hours and hours of trying to make my hands work in a way that they don't, but I am teaching myself to knit very badly, and I am so excited for when I'm actually able to knit something that doesn't look like a stretched out knot or a bundle of woolen chaos, so that I can use them (they are way to beautiful to get torn up in the, still accidentally sticking a needle into the middle of the wool and splitting it, stage). She hasn't even SEEN my embroidery, but still thinks it's good enough to frame and show off to everybody 🥹🥹🥹 Anyways, Mrs Nolan is one of the sweetest people ever, and also rediculously cool (my mam and nana have so many stories about her), and she is amazing, and I wanted to ramble about Mrs Nolan being lovely, because she IS lovely 🥰🥰🥰
