Inside me there are two wolves (divesting from the term alloace cus it doesn't have the range to cover my lesbianism or how lesbian, Black and various other forms of romance and love don't exist in a vacuum from what is acceptable 'alloromanticism' and wanting to create more alloace based posts to respond to that type of misinfo plus see if it could actually be a useful framework and label like aroallo is)
Hey, are you the person who made the AlloAce flag? I design Pride Flags into Magical Kids, and and AlloAce was requested, but I’m trying to credit the right person.
yup, we were the first and most popular one, it's true. but there are other flags as well, some are very similar to ours. we love when other people use our flags, please do so.
I’m tired of the rhetoric that one of my identities cancels out the other.
That because I’m asexual, I can’t have significant relationships.
That a sexless romantic relationship is the same as a friendship and not as important as a sexual relationship.
That without giving my body and physical intimacy, I don’t have anything to offer.
That I’ll never be able to understand love and intimacy.
That I’m not straight enough to fit in that group, but not gay enough to belong in those spaces either.
I’m just tired.
What I say: haha yeah, Aladdin and Flynn Rider are my favorite Disney princes. I guess I've just got a thing for theives. haha jk
What I mean: As an alloromantic ace, I feel a deep connection to Eugene and Aladdin's similar arcs of feeling the need to pretend to be someone you aren't in order to achieve romantic love. I find validation from the arcs of both characters because their "true love" is someone who loves and wholly accepts them just as they are.
Canon Aces 51/?: Victor Vale Vicious / Vengeful by V.E. Schwab (2013-2018)
[Victor] had craved a lot of things - - - but sex was never one of them. — He’d cared about [Angie], would have found ways to please her and perhaps found his own pleasure in that, but for him, it had never been about sex.
