Chopin's inspiration was the love he felt for George Sand, who was known for her rebellious and revolutionary personality during her lifetime. And Kyungsoo's girlfriend Seokchul has a similar personality. Another reference is to the love story of Chopin and Sand.

I think I'm pretty happy with how my John Denver portrait turned out! 😀 "John Denver" - 12in x 12in oil painting on birch board. . . . . I went back in & added more detail to his shirt & refined some of his hair more as well. I'm so proud of the pattern on his shirt. I actually try to avoid drawing/painting clothes at all costs (they are my equivalent to other artists drawing hands lol) but I am actually really happy with it! Especially because the pattern was not very easy lol 💚 Letting him dry for a while & will varnish at a later date. I'll take some better photos with my camera when I do! 😀 The painting is spoken for but I have prints made to order if anyone would like to support me! 🖼 . . . . . My first time trying the van gogh birch boards from Jerry's! I am in love! This is my new go to surface - sorry canvas! . . I rarely work in oils these days. I don't have good ventilation in my art room during the summer months and I am already prone to migraines. So I try to stick with my pencils.
