How the Avengers Hug (Probably)

Steve: hugs tightly, but not so much that it hurts. He has very reassuring hugs. The world will not end today hugs.

Tony: Hugs v e r y t i g h t l y. Especially if someone means something to him, he hugs them as if when he lets go, the world will take them away. But if he’s not close with a person, he is a business-only hugger. A pat on the back at most.

Thor: a big-brother hugger. Not unlike Peter, Thor will hug anyone who he deems unhappy, and it’s usually welcome. To all except Tony and Bucky, of course. He probably tries to be gentle, but unfortunately Thor is a jumbo sized Jelly bean, resulting in more force than he intended.

Bruce: Bruce is a warm, calm hugger, and everyone feels safe around him. He also has pretty reassuring hugs.

Hulk: Bone-crushing hugger.

Clint: Hugs from behind, and nicely. Unless you’re Tony, then he attacks from above.

Natasha: Doesn’t hug. She doesn’t trust anyone enough, and in the unlikely event that she does, she is a very hesitant hugger. It’s not that she doesn’t like the person, she just has, ya know, trust issues.

Peter: BBY HUGGER. Will hug anyone and everyone who he sees fit and in need. Everyone appreciates his hugs and sometimes asks for them when they’ve had a rough day. He’s shorter than most, so he ends up having his face buried in the other person’s chest or stomach. But still very sweet. 10/10 would recommend a Peter Parker hug.

Bucky: Like Natasha, he has a lot of trust issues, so hugs aren’t that common with Bucky. The only person Bucky really hugs is Steve. However, again, in the unlikely event that Bucky does trust someone enough, his hugs become more comfortable and relaxed. He is a very quiet, gentle hugger.

Sam: sarcastic hugger, pats you on the back, he’s more of a bro hugger. Not super sentimental.

Bonus:

Stephen: hugs with his cloak, and sometimes the cloak hugs without his consent. Stephen himself doesn’t hug often. But everyone appreciates the cloak.

T’Challa: hugs like he means it, and quite often, honestly. He’s a family man, and everyone he is close to he treats like family. He’s like a dad who hasn’t seen his child for an entire year once they’ve gone to college.

Loki: has extremely awkward, ignorant hugs. That boiyo doesn’t hug/receive hugs much so when he does, he just kind of jerks forward and awkwardly pats people’s shoulders or back.
