just saw someone say on twitter that dean would call women foids if spn was made today. i hate this fandom
Right. Dean “what’s MySpace some kind of porn site” Winchester is going to be up on his incel/4chan lingo lmao. This is the kind of gratuitous mischaracterization that truly makes you wonder if these people have ever actually watched the show.
You really do need to get off Elon Musk’s sinkhole. You’ll feel better.
The more I write Tim, the more unhinged I make him
I admit I love writing unhinge or pathetic characters and I may had used Tim as an outlet to my personal passions lolol
But I’ll try to distribute the madness with other characters
Batman is perfect for doing perturbing things randomly
I wonder why I make Tim so insane and self destructive
People usually don’t like him bc it’s the “normal” Robin, the one without this big traumatic childhood, the one who took Robin bc it didn’t seem he had other option
Tbh he mark a trend of how a robin should be, he is the one with the pants and that stick (forgo the name) and with the ideals
The one that didn’t used Robin as a way to evolve himself as a person but to help others instead
He is a very good boy and at the beginning reminds me of the cycle of a hero “rejecting the call” and the journey changing him and his reality forever
So he is this normal but heroic stereotype dude who serves to show the example to kids of how to behave yet still being sassy and funny
But I keep writing him as this dude who doesn’t care much what happens to him, has very dumb ideas despite being so so smart and is so chronically online
One word to describe my thoughts of ep3 will be simply, disappointed. This show just keeps delivering the worst takes and destroy every single one of the characters, and it has become quite annoying, to be honest.
I will start with what I do like about ep3. I think Baela is my favorite character so far, or perhaps the show runners haven't gotten time to destroy her yet. Baela seems reasonable, brave, compassionate, and has a general grasp of politics that sadly few characters do in this reason. Alys is another pleasant surprise. I like her looks, and the mystique around her is quite intriguing, making me wonder what her real agenda is. I just hope the show doesn't let her be Daemon’s lover (since they deleted Nettles, so if Rhaenyra is going to suspect Daemon of cheating, the only possible choice now is Alys). Also, I like the opening scene of Blackwoods and Bracken having a scribble. It shows us the grudges of these two houses, and the actors did a fairly good job at creating a teenager fighting scene LOL. But, I have to point out, I do not like the show just omitting the whole battle of the Burning Mill. This battle is not of large scale, but it shows the power dynamics of the Riverlands, and is the first battle to draw blood in the Dance. It also introduces characters like Black Aly, who is another amazing female character that has her own importance in the Dance, but the show never gives them a chance to shine.
Now, move on to things I don't like, which are quite a lot. Firstly, I hate most of the characters in this episode, including Rhaenyra, but what makes me furious the most is the show’s depiction of Rhaenys and Corlys. Rhaenys is the epitome of a proud and fierce Targaryen, and she will not tolerate usurpers. She died fighting said usurpers. She is not naive enough to believe that peace is still possible after the death of Luke and Jaehaerys. I mean, wake up. Even Aegon knows better to sack Otto and promote Cole, because he needs a Hand who knows how to lead a battle instead of a mere politician. Actually, I think what makes Otto and Tywin essentially different is that Tywin is not only a politician, but also a military strategist. Rhaenys’s view sounds way too modern. It is the show runner’s attempt to impose modern values on a fantasy world that is known for its cruelty and savagery. Also, I despise Corlys and his hypocrisy in this episode. Wdym he just simply ignores Rhaena and Joffrey as his heir? Has the show runners even read the original book? Even if Corlys doesn't want Joffrey, who is allegedly a bastard, he has no reason to set Rhaena aside. Rhaena doesn't have a dragon (yet)? Fine, but guess what, Addam doesn't either! From last episode, I don't think Addam has already claimed Seasmoke. Even if he did, it is just stupid for Corlys to ignore Rhaena. Whoever Addam’s father is, even if he is legitimized, Addam was still once a bastard, so it is wise to strength Addam’s claim by betrothing him and Rhaena (that’s the reason of Luke and Rhaena’s betrothal in S1). I know the show is just trying to follow the book, where Rhaena and Joff is sent to the Vale and Corlys recognizes Addam as his heir. But. The book has some legit reasons of doing so. First, in the book, Joffrey is betrothed to the Manderlys in White Harbor, so Rhaena cannot marry him, which is a typical practice in medieval times to marry the bride to the groom’s brothers should the groom die prematurely. Second, Corlys recognizes Addam after he claims Seasmoke, and is based on the claim that Addam is Laenor’s son, not Corlys’s own (true or not, this is the right parentage to claim). Third, he did this after Rhaenys died. If Corlys does what he does in the show, he will anger three Targaryens, Rhaenyra, Rhaenys and Daemon, and why would he do that? Who will give Addam’s offspring a dragon egg or the chance to claim a dragon? Targaryens hold all the dragon resources, and that’s the source of their power. Corlys wants dragons for the Velaryons, and I assume he wants more than one. The show changes so many things that, at this point, letting the characters do what they did in the book seems very out of character.
Lastly, I don't even want to talk about Rhaenyra’s trip to KL. I see her fallout with Daemon as her unable to trust him anymore because Daemon did things behind her back, but what Rhaenyra did is more outrageous and unreasonable that I think it is this behavior that drives her ally away, not the allegation of baby killer. Let me explain. Imagine you are a noble supporting the Blacks. You send troops and resources to help the Queen’s cause, because one, you honor your oath, and two, you want to have some kind of reward or benefits after her grace takes back the throne. What will you think, if you find out your queen puts herself in danger by sneaking into enemy territory to try and negotiate peace? Is she negotiating peace, or planning to bend the knee? What will happen to your house if Rhaenyra just gives up her throne and the Greens begin the political purge? If I am a Black supporter, and I hear of Rhaenyra’s doing, I will seriously consider the possibility of switching sides. Another point I want to make is that, Rhaenyra’s visit is not only unnecessary, but also useless. I don’t think Alicent is an eligible negotiator in the first place. Even if she agrees to the peace, what difference will she make? Is she able to convince her son and the council to accept the peace treaty? I don't think so. She doesn't even seem to have an ounce of power over Larys, let alone Aegon. And if you think Aemond will support her, you don't know Aemond at all. At this point, I don't even care about Aegon’s sly and Aemond’s cock at this point, because they are not even close to other shitty characterizations.
All in all, I don't like this episode, and it’s fair to say I don't like this season so far. The only thing that keeps me going is Gwayne’s face card.
“I am not saying all stories need to be about likable, virtuous people. I am saying these creators think they are telling a story about likable, virtuous people, and they are very, very wrong.”
Thank you for requesting @unlikelyturtleland , again I am sorry for how long this took, life has been pretty busy but thank you for being patient for my terrible writing skills
※ ゜* ・ ゚⋆ ❆ Jean
She initially is so, so distraught over you. You were the one who wormed into her heart, and then just left. Just like that. She sent many, many search teams for you, searching all of Mondstadt, but ultimately stopped after a year because she knows that Mondstadt needs her. Especially with forces running thin in the knights she can’t afford to send more really. As much as she wants to, she can’t leave her place in Mondstadt to look for you herself, not that she’ll know where to begin in the first place. Seeing as she can’t leave her place, instead she will hole herself up to work, with no one to stop her because you were always the one who gently dragged her out of the office to take a break. Now that you were gone, however Jean develops severe workaholic tendencies. Never leaving her office for days at a time, the headquarters has practically become her main home.
After around 2 years the hole in her heart will mend a little bit, but never much, seeing as she doesn’t interact with other knights as much anymore. Jean constantly has eye bags with a tired haunted look to complete it all. Everyone has tried to help her but she doesn’t respond to them at all. They don’t understand in her eyes, that they are not you, that they never will be you; the breath of fresh air that made her feel free. It felt like she wasn’t there to protect you at all, and what was she good for if she failed to protect Mondstadt too?
When you show up, finally after 3 years, even she doesn’t believe it at first, until she does actually see you in person. You barely changed at all, everywhere she looked Jean could still see that person that she fell in love with. She couldn’t help it, ever so hesitantly stepping towards you, and lightly caressing your face. It was the same you.
“I’m sorry, but who are you? Everything is all hazy, especially about you, and it’s like I’ve seen your face, but can’t seem to recall-“
Those words broke her. She’s already failed to protect you from disappearing for three years, but then realizing that she also failed to protect your memories? It was another harsh stab to a broken heart. Jean would hurriedly excuse herself from the conversation and retreat quickly back to her office, leaving you confused while the other knights watched in horror.
Jean couldn’t bear to look at you for awhile, all she could think about when she saw you was a failed light that she failed to protect. The knights would try everything to get you to regain your memories back. If they can’t find a way to cure you in an orderly time, then Jean demands, no forces them to stop. They just can’t afford to waste any more time or effort on you. All she can do is to just hope that she can provide you a cozy life as an apology should you never get your dear memories.
If they do get something out of you, perhaps a stray detail about a monster, anything, then Jean will hear about it. And she will rain hellfire upon those who dared touch her partner. She will mostly keep calm, especially outwardly, but when the chance arises to go confront those who caused your amnesia? She will not hold back on raining hell on them. If you do happen recover your memories, then she is so relieved, immediately Jean would hug you as soon as you called her name. It would be a bit hard to adjust back to a normal routine should you recover, afterwords the knights will noticeably keep more of a watchful eye on you, while Jean frets and becomes much more protective over you. It will be a very long time to go back to a normal routine with Jean, but you have to understand. Jean momentarily lost the breath of fresh air that she saw in you for three years, therefore the only thing you can do to speed up the healing process is to stay by her side. A lot.
※ ゜* ・ ゚⋆ ❆ Amber
When Amber first heard the news, she panicked. Badly. She practically sprinted around the forests when the first search teams were sent out, while she was one person of the first search teams, Amber would stick to looking for you until she was forced to stop. But that doesn’t stop her at all, with each mission she was sent on Amber would make sure that she kept an eye out for any sign of you. The habit carries on until your condition is updated. Afterwords, Amber would seem a bit down, with a bright smile that contrasted the tears threatening to spill down her face. It hurts more for her when she turns to her side to invite you to go to Good Hunter, only for her to realize that you weren’t there. Leaving her staring at an empty road by her side.
After 2 years she seems to have calmed down a bit, but she never did stop looking for you, therefore picking up the habit of carefully inspecting every little detail that could possibly hint to you in the wild. But Amber becomes even more determined after your disappearance, albeit the cost of her own mental health. She tries, and tries so hard afterwords saying that now she is shouldering both the will of her Grandfather and now you. It’s to the point where she is almost never seen in the city, most of the times she can be found doing extra missions out and about that she practically begged Jean for.
When the third year finally hits Amber has calmed down a bit, slightly getting over the hole in her heart. Throughout all of this Amber does keep the happy go lucky personality, saying that she isn’t going to back down looking for you. She needs to remain hopeful after all. Amber is the first one to find you, spotting you in the clearing of a forest looking at flowers. She doesn’t believe it at first, having to back track multiple times to properly glimpse at you.
But when Amber finally does realize that it is you that she’s staring at, Amber can’t help herself at all. She breaks into a run towards you before jumping and wrapping her arms around you, sending you both tumbling down to the forest floor. By this point Amber is sobbing openly in your arms, tightly wrapping her arms around you and burning herself in your neck.
She’s asking just about everything ranging from, “Where were you?”, “How have you been?”, “I’ve been looking all this time”, everything spiller from her mouth comes out in a rambled, sobbed mess.
You don’t answer instead looking confused, “Are you okay miss? I don’t seem to know you, but I’m happy to listen or help you.”
In that moment her heart basically shatters, even so she quickly pulls herself up from your neck and the sitting up to hold on your shoulders. Amber is basically shaking you at this point sobbing out questioning, “Was this a prank?”, “This has to be a joke.”, “You remember me right?”
You can’t answer and instead look down at the forest floor, “I’m sorry I can’t recall you, perhaps your name will jog a bit of my memory?”
Amber can’t bear to look at you anymore. What kind of monster could’ve done this to you? Who could’ve done this to you? Why would someone do that to you?
She swears in that moment that she will find who or whatever did this and make them pay. Amber swears it on her title as an Outrider.
Back for the present, Amber will go around the city asking for help to maybe regain your memories. And who are the people to decline? Amber has helped them a lot in the past after all. If everything fails and you never do regain your memories then Amber will not force others to help her, instead she’ll just try to befriend you again. She still does love you and she clings onto the hope that even if you don’t regain your memories, you can still fall in love with her all over again.
If your memories do return, not much changes at all. But Amber does fret over you a lot. If you happen need something? Amber is there. You want to go on a walk? No way, you remember what happened last time? She’ll accompany you. Overall Amber gets very clingy and protective over you, intently watching you just in case you leave her again.
※ ゜* ・ ゚⋆ ❆ Lisa
When Lisa first heard the announcement she nearly jumped from her chair, and her eyes were suddenly open with awakening while her whole posture screamed with alertness. She is tempted to look for you herself not really trusting other knights with handling you, but she is convinced in the end, for your sake, to go with a team to search for you.
When she is with the team she obviously takes on the leadership role, giving all the information in your looks and habits while maintaining strict instructions on how to find you. The other knights with her are all surprised by her sudden alertness, not being used to seeing Lisa so… wary for anyone.
She is ordered to stop looking for you after a year, but she still takes many, many walks around Monstadt just to see any sign for you. It’s usually the only activity she does with vigor, seeing as Lisa tries so hard to avoid the library where she made so many fond memories of you.
After two years her grief gets better to the point where she can return to the library with almost no problems. Even so, she can often be described as reminiscing about you having a far away look in her eyes while drinking your favorite tea. Lisa has read your favorite books, many times, yet she never does get tired of it. The book makes her softly smile when she remembers your cute droopy eyes whenever she would read the book to you.
When three years passes most people don’t even realize that Lisa still misses you. Just like three years prior, she is mostly found in the library relaxing, but still occasionally takes walks on the outskirts of Mondstadt. If one looks closer though, they will find one copy of a book constantly on her desk accompanied with a set of tea that when she drinks looks oddly distant.
Lisa almost doesn’t react when she hears of your arrival, likely not believing it. Her eyes betray her lazy tone when they light up with hope when she hears of your possible reappearance. She almost doesn’t think it to be true, but there are, right in front of her and shining in the sunlight like a scene from a book.
She doesn’t know how to even approach you, but she does settle on teasing you, calling you familiar nicknames, and trailing her hand tightly on your back as if afraid you were going to leave again. You looked at her with a confused and flustered look.
“I-I’m sorry but who are you? I can’t recall you…”
Lisa is taken back, you don’t remember her? Who could’ve done this? Was she not skilled enough to protect you? Is she too lazy that she let you get hurt? For the first time in forever, Lisa feels doubt. Doubt in her own abilities, doubts in her whole entire lifestyle. But all she can do is leave quickly after trying to fake a flirty smile and just offer you to visit in the library later. Leaving you at the other end of the hallway confused and worried if you did something wrong.
Lisa has a whole library at her disposal when trying to find something that will help you, she scan through thousands of books to try and find something, anything, that will help you. She even starts ordering more books from separate nations, seeing if foreign magic will help you. Lisa has debated with herself if she should visit Sumeru’s Academy again on the account of you.
She makes the long trip all the way back to Sumeru and back within a month.
If Lisa can’t find anything, anything that will help you then she does eventually give up in the end, resigning herself to just try and find more books on magic in one last hope. Visiting the library when she is in this state will result in seeing two different sides of Lisa. One side will be extra flirtatious and touchy, while the other simply stalks you throughout the library hidden in the bookshelves, almost as if too worried to go near you.
The moment Lisa finds something she has a bit of hope, but even she knows that almost every miracle needs a counterpart, a curse if you will. She researches the spell, looking for signs of a backlash, if she doesn’t find any then she will preform the spell at any cost.
The very second she sees familiarity spark in your eyes she’s almost unsure if she actually did it right. Yet your eyes sparked with joy when you saw her. Smiling a grin so wide and familiar that Lisa knew it was you. Her amazing cutie had returned to her, preformed by her own abilities. Lisa has a rare genuine smile with tears glistening in her eyes when you jump into her arms to hug her. She’s whispering about how, “I thought you left me.”, “Was I too weak?”, “I promise I’ll get stronger for you.”
She practically forces you to stay by her side in the library most of the time. You can’t leave her again, not until she’s strong enough to protect you from the monster who did this. Yet you assure her that she was perfectly capable, even so Lisa still replies with, “Yet I still couldn’t be diligent enough to protect my precious love for three years.”
Eventually Lisa does clam down to her usual lifestyle, but you notice that she keeps you by her side much more often, even pulling you away from several knights that she has described as, “Incapable.”
