Cross Examination time

part 1 part 2
new TOH animatic on my channel!
Two characters I would LOVE to see interact are Bat Queen and Hunter.
She is so protective over the palismen and he goes from helping capture them for Belos to bonding with one of the ones with her the longest to eventually being a palismen carver.
I wonder what she thought of Flapjack choosing him and if they had any conflict when he first started working with Dell. I also wonder if she could relate to how Belos made Hunter and discarded him.

POST FINALE HEADCANONS (ongoing list)
Camila and Luz both held Vee’s hands the first time she went through the portal door and returned to the Demon Realm
Vee is every one of the Hexsquad’s wingman. She’s give Hunter, Luz, Amity, and Willow dating advice.
Steve, Lilith, and Hunter joined forces to debelosify/decoven the Isles. They went around tearing down Belos statues and defacing Emperor’s Coven insignia.
Gus and Amity have gotten better at Spanish.
Lilith and Hunter are still rivals in a playful way. They occasionally recall their Head Witch and Golden Guard personas when trying to one up each other.
King found a way to reawaken Jean Luc.
Emira had her own episode with Eda and earned her Bad Girl Coven shirt.
Odalia and Alador got divorced. And Odalia got kicked out of the house.
Tinella Nosa now lives in the Clawthorne tower. She pays rent.
Anne and Luz have kept touch.
Luz and Amity made Good Witch Azura popular and it’s a best seller on the Boiling Isles now.
Per Vee’s request, Masha was the first other human to be told about and granted passage to the Demon Realm.
Vee cried when Luz introduced her to Stringbean.
Jacob went to jail.
Camila has created her own Dominican spin on Apple Blood.
Vee and King became friends the same way Lilith and Hooty did.
Luz found out about Amity’s Grom note.
Principal Bump loved his Hexside memorial.
Gus and Matt kept their promise to the Keeper and helped restored the Illusionist Graveyard.
Luz kept her promise to the Bat Queen.
Eda finally returned the favor (and the whistle) to the Bat Queen.
King and the Collector have repurposed King’s Island into their “treehouse.”
Vee took Masha to Grom. And Vee became Grom Queen.
Luz, Hunter, and Camila accompanied Vee in her search for the other Basilisks.
Vee had a “Katara find finds the man who killed her mother” moment with Warden Wrath.
Everyone finds out Evelyn was a Clawthorne (obviously) and Hunter gets accepted into the Clawthorne family.
Hunter goes to Hexside.
Alador and Edric have a cheesy “I’m proud of you, son” moment. Probably over something silly like pranking Odalia.
Introducing my own take on King's palisman! Considering Bat Queen is implied to be a palisman of a Titan herself (carved for a "giant", Dana stating BQ's owner seemingly built King's tower, so likely a Titan), it seems reasonable that King would get a palisman himself one day. Surprisingly, I've so far only seen the concept being explored one, that being this post by @zibiscusloon where Dell gifts Toast to King which is honestly a great concept. I've had my own idea for King's palisman on my mind for some time now, and decided to finally get it out there as well.
Okay so first of all, it may seem super random that King's palisman is a dinosaur, and specifically a T. rex, but trust me there is actually a logic to my thinking here (and it's not just me projecting just a little of my own love and fascination of dinosaurs onto King here).
Okay so think about it: Dinosaurs, right. Ancient and charismatic prehistoric megafauna, the largest and more awe-inspiring creatures to ever walk the Earth, wiped out in a cataclysmic mass extinction. Today, they is often looked upon by the populace as the pinnacle of natural power, monstrous terrors that stalk the minds and movie screens of people across the world, seen as primordial terrors of a savage age now bygone. And among all the dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus rex is by far the most infamous and embellished of them all. But in reality, despite their awesome size and power, dinosaurs were just like any other creature, living out their life in their own pace and their own mundane ways.
Sounds very similar to how the Titans are seen and treated in TOH by the populace versuses how they actually are huh? Ancient megafauna that once ruled the world for eons before a sudden and destructive cataclysm wiped them out, remembered and revered only by the bones they have since left behind (though granted, no one in our world worships dinosaurs as gods).

So now that I've hopefully sold you on that line of thinking, we can lead in to the actual backstory.
So basically King is rummaging around through some human junk that Luz, Vee, and Gus usually bring through the portal as part of their preparations to get the Human Realm/Demon Realm exchange program going, and he ends up finding a dinosaur book amongst the clutter. After reading it, he found it pretty interesting and asks Luz to tell him if there were any more stories about these "Human Realm Dragons". But Luz informs him that dinosaurs were actually real and gives him a brief rundown on the subject.
King grows incredibly interested and a tad emotional over all the information Luz is able to give him about dinosaurs, since a lot of it reminds him about the Titans. He is quick to enter a bit of a dinosaur craze for a while, reading and drawing about them whenever he has time. One day, for a Hexside art project, he decides to make a sculpture of a baby T. rex out of some old wood he found with Eda and Luz' help. King presents the sculpture at the school's art fair with pride, explaining to everyone there about what it means about how he feels about wanting to be seen as an actual person instead of feared or worshipped because of his Titan nature.
However, upon saying that, the sculpture begins to crack and glow, a blinding light briefly overtaking the crowd as the visage and roar of a behemoth reptilian shakes the sky for the first time in 66 million years. When the light finally fades, standing in front of King is, for all intents and purposes, the rough approximation of a baby T. rex.
It turns out that wooden stump actually belonged to a palistrom tree at one point, hence King unintentionally awakening a palisman when stating what was effectively his deepest wish. After wrangling the hyperactive and frenetic palisman from rampaging across the school to ruin everyone else's art projects, Luz, Eda, and King bring the palisman to Bat Queen, Dell, and Hunter for any information and advice. Since King is still a little young to have a palisman and this new one was made too big to even be used as a staff by King until he grows big enough, Eda and Luz at first consider having the tyrannosaur palisman stay at the Palisman carving shop. However that brings up issues as the tyrannosaur palisman keeps getting into fights with Bat Queen's equally territorial babies as well as generally making a huge ruckus and mess around the place that Hunter is barely able to keep under control even with his speed and leftover Golden Guard training.
So while unconventional, King decides to take the responsibility as his responsibility now. Dell and Bat Queen concur, though they warn King this will be a very grueling task for him at the age he is at, and give him plenty of advice as to how to take care of the palisman with help from Hunter, Luz, Eda, and Raine. The tyrannosaur palisman seems eager to be with King as well, and after some thinking, the young Titan had finally settled on a good name.
Now personality wise, Louis is very, very hyperactive and rough. If I had to make a comparison, it's like if combined Roadrunner from Looney Tunes and Krypto from the new Superman movie. You will see them constantly bounce around the Owl House getting even on Hooty's nerves as they also bite basically anything and anyone that isn't King or most palismen (though people they have grown used to only get the occasional nibble). They really like the company of other palismen (besides Bat Queen's kids for territorial reasons), but outside of Stringbean, Fiddlesticks (Raine's palisman), the Clawthorne palismen, and the Hexsquad's palismen, most are too scared of Louis to ever approach them. King finds it pretty hard to get Louis under wraps, largely since the palisman can run circles around him, but he is able to manage with some help from Luz. Despite giving King a lot of difficulty, King still cares a lot for Louis, and Louis will do anything to protect King.
---
Some minor tidbits:
King likes naming stuff in French as seen with François and Jean Luc, so his palisman also got a French name with Louis (from both King Louis and Louis Napoleon). I had considered Napoleon straight up as another option, but eh.
Louis didn't originally have wings when King sculpted them. They're a little Boiling Isle/Titan magic pizzaz after their awakening.
Louis starts off as a baby, but they'll grow bigger...and meaner...
The Bat Queen’s Forest
The Bat Queen is an elder demon known to reside in a forest west of Bonesborough. While it once stretched much further across the Right Arm, the burning of Bonesborough library shrank its greatness to a mere few miles around.
The Bat Queen rarely leaves her forest haven, but it’s unknown where exactly she resides in the woods. Nobody has ever made it to the center, but it’s believed she has great riches stashed within.
The forest becomes stranger the further in you go. Animals that thrive around the forest edges suddenly disappear, or quit following you altogether. The woods are unnaturally quiet here, and the ancient trees stretch so far and wide that they blot out the entire sky.
The feeling that you are being watched is said to send a shiver down the bravest witch’s spine. Some who have dared to enter claim the forest floor is covered in bones, and that they heard creatures big and small following them, but when they looked, there was nothing there.
