I don’t know what to do, there’s so little food in the house food and even less I can stomach, I don’t have the money to keep covering food costs for my family. I’ve been so hungry :(

Alriiighttt, I need the motivation to do a thing so,
If this gets at least ten notes, I will apply to at least five jobs tomorrow. I’m browsing job agencies and whatnot tonight but adulting is a mess and I’m at that stage where I almost want to give up. Just someone help me please?
The more notes it gets, the more I’ll put into my job hunting. So!
Let’s see what you can do!
Man, depression SUCKS
So I'm working my checklist. This is one of em:
Took a (much needed) shower 🚿 for my poor grody body. Not gonna say how many days it's been, I do want to start tracking how often I DO shower so I can try and figure out how to do it more often.
Got my tea and morning meds in. Only missed one dose this week.
Am drinking water. (Black cherry seltzer)
Had breakfast. Now I've made lunch (quesadilla with a bit of salsa and a bit of lunch meat, and a sliced apple). We're out of bread.
Am eating to make sure I can last the whole of this shopping trip. (Going out with spouse to find cutlery for the camper van and try out a couple of camping things at REI. Lightweight camp chairs is one goal, and I wanna look at their hiking and walking boots and shoes.)
My body hurts less than yesterday , I think thanks to the long hot shower and a bit of stretching. I'm behind on my workouts and will work out some accountability or rewards to encourage myself.
I have stuff to do to get the rest of the way ready for Halloween,
and other stuff to be prepared for working the elections. I did finish writing my postcards for the GOTV in Georgia (and mailed them on time!) Next Monday is gonna suck because of the time change.
Speaking of, I need to finish researching and marking my ballot. I don't know enough about my local races or the state propositions.
I miss my friend GrlPurple. She used to host Proposition Parties. Lots of good food, and each person picked or got assigned one proposition to research and talk about so everyone could feel reasonably well informed without having to look EVERYTHING up themselves.
Thanks for listening 🎧😊 bleeding off a couple hundred words always helps make the world less bleak.
And in case nobody told you today: I love you, you're fabulous, your ass looks fantastic, and you can! Do the thing!
Battling Depression
When battling depression
It helps to create abstractly
Something greater than yourself
And then ask it for help
The power of the mind
To help itself is documented
Believe in what is greater
And then believe that it cares
And then ask this thing
To take away the sadness
Which seems to flow from no source
It worked for me
I hope it works for you
Create the lever
By which you remove the weight
On your soul
For the few people on here who follow-

Seeing other people posting their fanwork of their OC engaging with a favourite character out there, so I decided to make my own. This is also the first full piece I've done using Clip Studio Paint, as I usually paint using Photoshop. Honestly, though, I think I've found a new favourite drawing program, 'cause this program is brilliant!
Anyway, back to the piece I did. Here it is!
This is probably also one of the cheesiest images I've ever painted. I've never been one to do self-ships, but with this OC of mine, it's about as good as 😂. I don't think I've ever been this much heads over heels over a Manga character the way I'm head over heels for Tsukasa. Yes, I had a several months long (and agonising) crush on Trafalgar Law. Yet somehow, Shishio Tsukasa managed to steal my heart from the Dr. Heart Stealer himself. That's quite a feat considering how smitten I was. What's even wilder is how in the midst of one of the darkest times of my life, Tsukasa somehow became not only my rock and my shelter, but also my anchor and my lifeline when I was inches from taking the final plunge into the abyss when I was struggling with the worst of my depression. Now, things are looking up, and I'm feeling soooo much better.
He's become my muse, and my joy. And with this fanart of mine, this is my best way of expressing the love and gratitude I feel towards this beautiful man. He's helped me through the darkness when I was blind, guided me when I was lost, and taught me more about myself, what it means to be human, and who I want to be. In essence, he's helped me more than most people I've ever known 💖
Things I do that make me appreciate life
Talk to nature; tell the flowers, stars, moon, sun, ocean whatever you need to get off your chest/have to thank them for (this helps me connect with my deities as well)
Go barefoot more often (also helps me connect with my Deities)
Sit straight but unafraid to take up space (don’t suck in my stomach, lean forward in the table, don’t cross my legs, etc..)
Laugh loudly when I want to
Do my hair in different styles
Drink lots of water (it helps, trust me)
Wear anything that makes me comfortable and confident, especially flowy clothes
Be kind to animals/stop and pet strays when they come up to you
Let the wind hit my face and just stop to breath
Keep my blinds/curtains open
Dance on grass/in the sunlight
Kiss things I offer to Aphrodite
Drape myself over furniture comfortably and dramatically
If I’m wearing flats/sandals, let the shoe hang by my toes like they don’t fit
Appreciate all the feelings that come to me throughout the day, wether they be joy or pain
Smile gently
Listen to soft music while laying in bed
Open my windows
Wear lotions
Wash my face
If I feel safe, find a train track and wait for the next train to pass by. When it does, scream as loud as I can to let all my frustrations out. Walk away feeling more free
Change my clothes, even if I have nothing to do or feel depressed. It really does help
Acknowledge my faults, own up to them and better myself as a person
If I have an intrusive thought, let it pass
Take cool showers
Positive affirmations (I am beautiful, I am rich, I am calm, joy comes easily to me, etc..)
Be kind to strangers who seem down
Read some poetry
I started growing my own food, planted some trees, setting up an herb garden and a tea garden as well. Part of my healing journey I started using food as medicine and herbs and plants as medicine as well. I learned how to make herbal teas, tinctures, salves and supplements instead of taking medicines. I've never been in better health! My skin and hair are in excellent health from the soaps I make from herbs and natural things.
Hibiscus flowers are great for inflammation, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, suppers weight loss, is an antioxidant and antibacterial and so much more. I started growing them as a part of my herbs and plants for teas and other concoctions.
I have more of how to heal mentally and physically on my new blog. Learn how to naturally fight depression, anxiety, cancer and many more chronic illnesses at www.themetanoiaway.com
