Gold has some difficulties to sleep in consequence of his enthusiastic personality. When he finally settles down, usually after 20 or 30 minutes, his sleep is very heavy and it’s difficult to wake him up. He also has the “body clock” stuff that makes him wake up after something close to the 8 hours of sleep - even though he has a heavy sleep, when he wakes up he can’t go back to it like some people do. Speaking of his positions, he tends to change it A LOT when trying to fall asleep. Once he sleeps, though, he mostly sets on his back, arms up and with the head slightly tilted to the left or right. He maybe look like a person who snores, but he actually doesn’t.However, when he’s exhausted, he just throws himself at the bed, not caring for position or comfort anymore. He just sleeps. Also, Gold is not the person who naps a lot. He can’t do this easily, unless he is very tired. In the few times he did this, he stayed feeling sleepy for hours, differently from when he has a properly full-night rest.

I’m very into the ideia that Gold, as well as Red, are very fond of games! My biggest indicator for this is certainly the presence of the newest video game consoles - of that time - in their rooms. I’m more of a gamiverse fan, but this can be seen in other ways of canon too, like the Pokémon Origins anime. Red starts appearing while playing some Pokémon-related game. I don’t think Gold is any different. ;)
Beside video games, Gold really loves his friends. He can’t stand being alone, what I guess Red can do without major difficulties. But to Gold, it’s easy to feel needy sometimes so he tries his best to be around his friends. That was, actually, one of the motives for Gold always wanting to train pokémons and stuff, because he’d like to turn them into loyal friends that could follow him everywhere.
Ok, this one now is very very personal and a bit funny xD But I can see him doing this anyways! Gold, since he was a kid, have loved to DANCE. Like, when he’s alone in his room, or when he is throwing a party with his pokémon, he likes to dance while making weird movements, swinging and jumping all around.
(♒) Cooking/Food headcanon
Like me, Gold doesn’t cook. Maybe sometimes he can prepare a very simple meal for himself, but he displeases it. Gold admires those who cook well and he is always attempting to try out their food, but he thinks he just does not fit well with cooking. When related to food, though, Gold is difficult to please. He has a distinct kind of taste and many times he’s forced to tell a compliment, even when he doesn’t really liked that dish. He has some favorite food, though, and he rarely is sick of these. If someone offers him one of his faves, he’ll be satisfied very quickly!
(☮) Friendship headcanon
Gold is a very needy person, as I’ve already said, so he needs to receive attention.
With his pokémon: He loves them and his most loyal comrades are both Aipom and Typhlosion! When Typhlosion was a mere cyndaquil, Gold took him everywhere and couldn’t even stand the option of returning him to the pokeball. Since the beginning, they’ve been very close friends and shared a lot of adventures. Aipom was a more recent partner but just the best. He’s always playful and enthusiastic like Gold so they have a lot in common!
With his human friends:Gold and Kris were rather close friends, since their childhood. Kris was generally giving him moral lessons, which at first he found a pain, but he could endure and try to improve based on them. He also used to joke with her, because she usually would took that too seriously and get angry while he would be there laughing. That may seem like a worn friendship but they actually enjoyed that a lot. With Lyra it was a later thing. Their friendship is more like a polite kind of relation than a “messing up” one. However, both enjoy each other’s presence and when they meet, they like to play together with their pokémon. With Silver it’s a rivalry thing, of course. Just like those friends who are always taunting and despising, Silver is like that to Gold. His difference to Blue Oak is that Silver is quieter and shy, so he doesn’t usually goes shouting and bashing. Early Silver is a bit different from future Silver, though. After years of rivalry and defeat, Silver finally recognizes Gold and now he is THE ONE trying to surpass his rival, so he’s grown some respect for Gold.Besides training and competitive Pokémon world, Silver is the typical quiet and serious guy while Gold is the teasing and enthusiastic one.Thanks for reading!-//-
