Day 9 & 10: Wizard & Radio

For the wizard tbh I didn't have any other ideas and I know that I did visual news but just imagine that Billy makes it radio friendly.

I think Billy would EAT UP the Lex Luthor getting arrested news. Also the news station forces Billy to wear a cheap suit much to his annoyance.

Also also since your here, I feel like young heroes love listening to Billy's shows and try really hard to get interviews with him. Adult heroes do to but Billy kinda memes them and they don't normally get the jokes until their sidekicks are giggling and referencing the interviews.

Superman might be the only one who is safe which makes my pre-existing Billy Batson vs. Guy Gardener beef even funnier.

Captain Marvel doesn’t have scars. Billy does, but Cap just has freckled expanses of smooth skin, light dustings of hair where people think a superhero should have hair. He doesn’t have acne pocks or keloids; he doesn’t have stretch marks or reminders of childhood injuries.

He doesn’t have battle scars.

When Cap goes into battle, he’s hurt, and he heals, or someone else helps him heal, and it’s like the injury never was. It leaves nothing but faint lines on Billy’s skin, jagged and rough where something was torn, knife edge precise where something split him open.

Branched like lightning.

Billytober - Day 1+2: Magic & Bolt

Combining day 1 and 2 because I'm already late!

Captain Marvel’s magical finishing move had never exposed his identity before. Well, risked it maybe, but never had him fall right into the unsuspecting gaze of the entire Justice League.

Until one faithful day of yet another big bad monster that needed all the Justice League’s attention. The Captain was especially called because the monster was somehow related to magic.

Of course, it had to be some kind of basilisk. It invaded Metropolis and Superman frantically called for back up after realizing his attacks did nothing to it.

Upon arriving at the scene, Billy immediately knew why.

It was summoned by some magical ritual he couldn't identify the source of now. Its origin of magic made it so only equally strong magic could hurt it.

Captain Marvel watched as his teammates uselessly tried to fight the monster to no avail. He almost laughed at Green Arrow launching an arrow into its chest and watching it bounce off until realizing he had to be the one to solve this mess.

The Captain flew into action, taking the basilisk by the neck and flying it up far enough to not cause any damage to the city. Also far enough for the whole team to hopefully not see Billy become.. well.. Billy.

Once he decided it was safe, Billy yelled out…

“SHAZAM!”

A gush of lightning descended from the sky in a mass the Justice League had never seen from the Captain before. The power hit the monster in a flash of bright light, blinding those watching for just a moment.

A moment short enough for the League to catch sight of the monster disintegrating and a small boy falling through the air.

Billy desperately tried to speak the magic word again, only for his descent to rapidly grow closer to the ground. He kept yelling and yelling as no sound came out. For a moment, he thought he’d prefer to hit the harsh pavement than have a hero save him like this.

And, of course, the world was never kind to him.

In a minute, Billy was suddenly in the arms of Superman and being flown down to the rest of the team.

No. No no no no.

“No!” He said, finally finding his voice, “No! Not now, can't be now!”

Superman looked at him.. sadly? “Captain, I couldn't leave you there.”

He wasn't questioning Billy yet it seems. Probably leaving Batman to the interrogation, then.

“No,” Billy repeated, clutching Superman’s shirt.

“Captain…” Superman was already using his ‘comforting a scared child,’ voice. Billy wasn't a child, not anymore. Not after everything that's happened over the last year.

Before Billy could continue to protest, Superman landed safely on the ground.

Cautiously, Billy turned his head towards the new eyes on him…

Fuck.

“Captain?” Batman stepped forward first, as expected.

Then, “Brother!”

Billy watched Wonder Woman run towards Superman and fish Billy out of his arms.

“Oh, brother!” She hugged him, “I didn't know I was an older sister!”

“How old did you—” he gasped into her shoulder, “think I was?”

“At least 5,000!”

“5,000?!” Billy choked out.

The other Leaguers surrounded the two, and Billy started sweating at all the people watching him. They weren't watching Captain, they were watching Billy. That was already unnerving to think about, let alone experience.

“So,” Flash started, “how old are you?”

“Guess,” What a great time for Billy’s sass to return.

Batman put a hand on his shoulder from where he still sat in Wonder Woman’s arms, “Are you safe at home?”

“I’m fine,” Billy lied.

None of them seemed convinced. Batman stared at him with that 'you aren't escaping this scolding' face. Billy didn't even need to see the Bat's eyes to know he was doomed.

“Gods damned finishing move…” He muttered, “Should've gone higher in the air. Should've brought the damn monster to space.”

He saw Superman pale.

Billy’s never outliving this.

Yayyy. I finally have an excuse to draw Mary again.

Drew this one in traditional and had to make it digital because it needed colors. I like the traditional better, but too late to fix, hehe!
