It is the middle of May, and the past 3 months of being the girlfriend of your stranger who turned into the love of your life, Kim Taehyung, has been absolute bliss.
While both of your schedules keep you more than occupied, he always makes time for you, and you relish being able to openly claim him as yours while seeing Jocelyn flounce amongst young bachelors like a dying fish every other week.
Something has seemed off with your boyfriend for the past couple of weeks. You are unable to pinpoint what is different, but his energy has definitely been altered by something.
He reassures you that he is fine and that you did nothing, even swearing it on Yeontan! Still, you know him better than he realizes and that doesn’t tame the worry in your heart.
The next week, you finally get the answer you have been asking for: he is leaving in 3 days to film a show in Mexico. How did you get this information from your guarded teddy bear? Tequila.
He had told you he was going to hang out with his friends Jung Yumi, Choi Wooshik, and Park Seo Joon after the gym and to not wait up as it had been a long time since he had seen them.
Well, you obviously didn’t listen and stayed up until he got home to make sure everything was all right and to sneak in a “hey” to his friends as they dropped him off after partaking in too many shots.
The second he plopped onto the couch, the waterworks started. Between sobs, he choked out the news that he feels like his life with you has just started.
He doesn’t want to leave you, but his manager already said that you couldn’t tag along but were more than welcome to visit him the last couple of days.
You sit there in a daze, rubbing his back while he cries into your shoulder and can’t believe that he has kept this from you. While you understand his reasoning, he knows about your separation anxiety.
You prefer to have a hefty heads-up before these types of things so you can slowly adjust. You’ll barely be past the depression about him leaving by the time he leaves.
Despite your annoyance at his strategy of information release, you do your best to postpone the depression and enjoy the next few days, helping him prepare and have as much fun as possible.
You know this is barely easier for him, and he has apologized profusely for not telling you sooner.
The day arrives for his departure, and you bring him to the airport and wish him and his friends safe travels with bleary eyes and continual “I love you’s” being exchanged between you.
You get home and cuddle up with Yeontan on the couch, feeling exhausted. Your emotions finally take over about 15 minutes later, and the waterworks are in full effect.
A while later, Tae shoots you a text that they have a brief layover before the next flight and that he already misses you and will call you as soon as he gets settled.
This only intensifies the tears, and it takes a miracle for you to settle down enough to pick up the phone about 5 minutes later when you see his manager calling your phone.
You answer immediately, asking if everything is okay, and he even further reassures you that they are fine and that he is about to tell you something confidential, not even to tell your boyfriend.
He apologized for saying that you couldn’t tag along before, but the decision wasn’t final yet. Your eyebrows are about to merge into one from being confusingly scrunched so much.
He explains that you will be leaving in 2 days to meet them in Mexico. A couple of episodes will already be shot, but he wants to surprise Tae (and the viewers) by having you join the crew.
He has already made accommodations for your heat sensitivity in advance, and everyone loves your relationship’s chemistry, so it would be an honor for you to guest star.
You think for a moment but decide not to live in fear and what if, and you agree! It is exceedingly difficult not to tell Tae the news when he calls that night, being the most pitiful puppy missing you so much and being homesick, but you can’t wait to see the look on his face when you spawn on set.
You arrive in Mexico a few days later at a nearby hotel so maintain the surprise and are given instructions on where to go, when, and given the Jinny’s Kitchen uniform.
It is tricky to Facetime Tae that night as you must make it look like you aren’t in the same time zone.
Luckily, he is exhausted, doesn’t suspect anything, and doesn’t even make a fuss about you ending the call earlier than usual because “you have an early photoshoot.”
You drift off to sleep with the biggest grin on your face, knowing you get to be reunited with your boyfriend way ahead of schedule.
Bright and early the next morning, you arrive at the set, and the moment his eyes meet yours, he runs toward you like an excited puppy, lifts you, spins you around, and showers you with kisses until you both need oxygen.
Everyone on set can tell how much his energy shifts now that you are around and are impressed with your acting debut and how professional you are both being.
The viewers already know that you are together, but you both have jobs to do and can’t play around like when you cook at home.
After the first couple of days, he isn’t used to you in a negative way, but his cheeky side is peeking through now that the shock of you being there has lessened.
As the crew is doing the pre-shift interviews as all of you get ready for the day, he says, “Oh well, I am definitely not the intern now that Nari is here. I’ve been running this for 2-3 days before she got here. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure that is cleared up.” He says with a sly grin.
This remark is because the day before, you had gotten playfully sassy when he was trying to show you how to do something. Your reply was, “Um, I’m sorry. I’m the chef at home, so I think I can handle myself just fine, pretty boy; go check on the table 4.” giggling as he walked away.
The workday starts, and Tae calls a team meeting, shocking the older members with his boldness. Once everyone is gathered, he brings up an issue with his boss, Seo Jin. “Hyung, now that Nari is here, I think that we need to reconfigure the hierarchy of this establishment.”
You sit in the corner and roll your eyes only for a moment before they bug out of your head as the older man agrees with Tae. As Wooshik arrived a day before you, that makes you the true intern and the one with the least authority.
The whole time Seo Jin is explaining this amongst the other's discussion, you are glaring at your boyfriend while he has his tongue poking the inside of his cheek the whole time, looking the cockiest he has in a hot minute. Which is highly arousing. You won’t lie, but you are still annoyed.
You head to the back and start to gather the equipment the team will need to prep the snack foods of the day; Tae follows you with the excuse that nobody can make better rice than him so that he will start it.
Despite his attempts to show affection or joke around, you ignore him, fighting a smile because he is just your goofball boy that you are madly in love with and aren’t upset.
Dropping off the tools to Yumi and Seo Joon first, you return to the kitchen for the remaining items needed for the day. Chuckling to yourself about the events of the day so far, you get spun around and pinned to the fridge in a split second.
Tae has both of your hands in one of his above your head, and his other hand caresses your cheek, “Oh jagiya, now it’s official that you must listen to me. But that won’t be a problem; we both know how well you take instruction from me, right?”
With a smirk at your speechlessness, he gives you quick pecks on the forehead, nose, cheeks, and lips and turns to assist the others in prepping the food.
You remain frozen with heat pooling in your stomach for the next several seconds before Yumi comes to gather veggies from the fridge for the rolls.
Noticing your wide eyes, still leaning up against the fridge, she asks, “Nari, are you all right? You hadn’t been seen in a while.” Returning to Earth, you nod, saying, “Sorry, there were a few dishes, then I got overheated, so I just leaned against here a moment.” She nods with a smile, “Glad you are feeling better; we all get hot and bothered in a kitchen, so do what you need to, yeah?”
As she walks away, you grin, knowing the real reason you were back there, and mumble to yourself, “You can say that again.”

A/N : Hello sweet readers! Finally the third part!! Enjoy it please<3 Not much left before these two go heart to heart ^^ Are you excited to see how this plays out?
<
Next morning Yoongi is once again met with a displeasing view. You silently rushing around the room collecting your clothes and toiletries. His breath quickens and he shoots up in bed clutching the comforter as if he has woken from a nightmare.
His eyes move around following your form and only as you turn to leave you notice him. His eyebrows furrowed a sleepy and confused expression on his face. You take it as a hint to leave the room and quickly scramble out without a word.
Yoongi holds his breath the moment your eyes meet. He couldn’t read the expression adorning your face and it scared him. He once again ran hands down his face taking in a deep breath. His heart still hammering inside. Yoongi was even more scared now then he was yesterday evening. The later realization coming back to hold him by the neck. When a thought shoots in his head. He still needs to apologize to you.
He quickly throws on sweats and moves out of the room. He can hear the shower running in the guest room and stays behind the door, scared to invade your personal space now and tick you off.
On the other side of the door you were getting dressed with those same thoughts. Scared to tick Yoongi off you try to make yourself scarce as fast as possible. The stare you’ve been met with this morning almost put you in cardiac arrest as you heart stopped.
You exit the shower and start pulling on your work clothes. Suddenly a knock on the door stops your heart once again. “Y/N?” A small voice catches your attention.
You haven’t heard your name leave his lips for so long. You stop for a moment frozen in space but quickly recover as your phone lights up with notifications. You need to hurry or you’ll be late for the new presentation.
Yoongi can hear you shuffling inside the room. Excitement fills his insides when he hears your footsteps coming closer to the door. He braces himself to face you, hug you, kiss you and fall to his knees before you to apologize. The door opens and Yoongi barely catches sight of you before you scurry down the stairs. A thought enters Yoongi’s head. You’re running away from him…
He comes after you hot on your trail. When he stands on the bottom of the staircase he can’t do anything but observe you putting on your shoes and taking you bag in your hands. That’s when it clicks for him. You’re leaving.
He nears you in three big strides and catches your arm before you can disappear out the door. “We need to talk” he says assertively. You only look at him with big eyes and stutter out a “I’m late for work” before removing yourself from his grasp.
Yoongi stands there frozen in place. Everything seems to drop into place for him now. The detachment in your eyes, the space between you two now miles. This relationship is hanging by a thread...
You were full of adrenaline as you reached work, not only from running but from the weird morning encounter with Yoongi. You quickly pushed Yoongi out of your mind and walked through the office door. After setting your bag on your chair you grabbed your computer and set off to the meeting room.
After three hours you finally slumped down in your chair a smile adorning your face. A tear of happiness escaped your eye and you wiped it laughing. You got it. You got your position.
You could not contain yourself as you started typing out a message to Yoongi. Your finger stopped right above the send button. The whole world stilled as you deleted the message not wanting to annoy your lover any further. The thought once again made you sad… he didn’t feel like a lover any more…
“Congrats Y/N you were amazing!” Your colleague Hyun clapped you on the back. You turned to him “Oh!” You were startled but recovered “thank you, thank you” you smiled once again. “Great even amazing job on the presentation. Finally, you put that Lee in her place. Please fire her I’m getting tired of listening to her..” he rolled his eyes jokingly and lounged on your desk beside you.
Hyun kept up small talk asking you about the document, your days and finally reaching a topic of a new café down town with famous Japanese buns that you’ve been craving to try.
“That place is bomb! I was there a few times while in Japan they have the most delicious buns I have ever tried” Hyun almost melted on your desk holding his tummy “It’s all I want in life” he closed his eyes theatrically. You laugh boomed through the office at his actions and you held yourself back after receiving some judging glances. “I’m convinced alright stop making a scene someone might kill us” you giggled.
Hyun got serious, straightened up and looked into your eyes “Come with me”. Your giggle stopped in your throat “W-what?” “Come with me to the opening. We can go on Saturday it’s our free day thanks to you” he smiled. “C’mon Y/N we do need to celebrate you somehow” his eyes were full of affection.
Your head was spinning. Hyun has been your good friend for a couple of years in the company. But that’s it, there was never anything more than that. You had never taken your friendship out of the confines of this office and now you were feeling like maybe you wanted it. It was nice having him here at this moment, having someone congratulate you, take interest in you day and laugh together.
You gulped as Hyun got up from your desk a hand on your shoulder “I’ll get back to you” he smiled and walked away. Your eyes followed him and your heart lit up with a possibility of a new friendship.
While you were congratulating with Hyun, Yoongi was having a fight on his own.
Repairing his music was going as NOT smooth as possible. Despite the fact that he had no music, he also had producer Cho on his ass. Cho has not left him alone for the whole day.
Yoongi could deal with Cho being in the studio but he could no longer deal with his shouting and constant nagging, tough Yoongi could not say a thing back.
Apart from Cho, you were also on his mind. The morning encounter, the evening fight all of it pressing him from within. Yoongi wanted to cry. He wanted to cry his whole body out and curl up in your loving arms so you could nurse him to health again. He wanted everything to be alright. But most of all he wanted YOU. He wanted YOU to be alright. The thought made Yoongi tear up and drop his head into his hands for the hundredth time that day.
“Hyung it’s time for practice” Jungkooks voice filled the studio and immediately irritated Yoongi. He let out a groan “yeh I know.” Jungkook slipped into the room leaving the door ajar and and looked around awkwardly “Hyung are you alright?” He laid a comforting hand on Yoongi’s shoulder and Yoongi shot up out of the chair making Jungkook jump back and land awkwardly on the carpet before the couch. “DOES IT LOOK LIKE IM ALRIGHT?! IF YOU DON’T ALREADY SEE NO NOTHING IS ALRIGHT YOU- YOU-UH?!” Yoongi towered over the younger male body shaking with anger. It didn’t take long before all of the members filtered through the door to see what was happening. Namjoon and Jin quickly evaluated the situation and jumped in front of Yoongi making him sit at his chair while Taehyung and Jimin helped a tearful Jungkook up. “What the hell is going on here?! Jungkook are you okey?”the leader tried to bring peace back.
Yoongi glanced around the room eyes meeting Jungkooks. Eyes filled with tears looking up at him, a sight so sad it reminded him of a worse one...
Yoongi was taken over by his emotions once more, he could feel something brewing inside him and he had no idea how he was going to deal with it without you. “Yoongi? Tell us what’s wrong? You’ve been distant for a long time now? Is it Y/N??” Jin’s voice uttering your name was like the final straw in Yoongi’s emotions and he let it all flow.
With his tears flowing down his cheeks all the hardships flowed out too. All six members sitting around now listening to their brother cry out his concerns about his relationship and work.
“And I’m so sorry Jungkook that you happened to probe me at the worst moment. I didn’t mean to dump all of this on you…” Now Yoongi felt embarrassed not only about this Jungkook situation but also about opening to his members up about his emotions and struggles with your relationship.
“Hyung it sounds like the two of you just …grew apart…” Said Hobi and Yoongi’s head shot up to his brother eyes full of fear. “No no no not that way, maybe not grew apart but simply spent too little time together and have simply misunderstood one another’s feelings now. And to be honest time has not been kind to the two of you” Jimin tried to help his friend who looked like he was having a heart attack.
“Jiminie is right, when was the last time you talked with Y/N?” Yoongi fell into deep thought and the members looked at him hoping for an answer. The longer they waited the more scared for their friend they got. Yoongis face went from thinking to breaking in a few seconds and tears once again flowed.
A soft chorus of “Hyung” and “Yoongi” was let out by the boys as they stood from the couch and gathered around Yoongi to hug him and wipe his tears. “Yoongi look at me. Stop crying and go. Find some flowers a nice drink and something delicious then go get your woman and tell her that you love her.” Jin looked sternly into the younger man’s eyes.
Yoongi blinked a few times and nodded his head but then a revelation from yesterday popped back into his mind and he lowered his eyes to the floor again. “What if she doesn’t want me anymore...” he whispered the paralyzing words for the first time and it hit him more than he thought it would. The air got knocked out of Yoongi and the others noticed. “Yah! Stop it hyung!” “Yah go get Y/N! You know she loves you just don’t give up”
It felt like a breath of new air being supported by his brothers and it gave him new bravery to text you.
Yoongi: Hey...
Yoongi: When do you finish work?
Your eyes shot away from the computer and back at your phone when you read the senders name. You gulped and could feel cold sweat coating your body. The text was exactly what you had been expecting for a while. This is it. “Maybe it’s something else, c’mon respond” you thought trying to stop yourself from going into shock.
Y/N: Hi
Y/N: I finish work at 9
Y/N: Why?
Your heart beat fast and out of rhythm as you waited for a response praying for a better one than you have imagined.
Yoongi: I’ll pick you up.
You sat now thoroughly confused by the message. Why would he want to pick you up? Was he at home now? He wouldn’t just break up with you now would he?
If this situation had occurred weeks ago you would have jumped up and down at the thought of your boyfriend being spontaneous, however now it only served to make you nervous. You couldn’t imagine being at such a close proximity with him.
“Y/N did you get my message?” Junhi stood at your door and you awoke from the nightmare that was going on inside your head thanks to your boyfriend. “Ah message? Oh yes yes I got it sorry” you buffered looking at your computer screen trying to find a message.
“Interesting” Junhi chuckles. “Huh..?” You turn to him dishevelled. “I didn’t send you any messages. Are your messages haunted sweets?” Junhi came inside your cubicle and sat on your desk. “Don’t call me that it sounds like we’re dating or something..” you lowered your gaze in disgust.
“That doesn’t sound that bad huh? I could be your work boyfriend? We’d make an office power couple. At least you’d have someone to attend the party with on Friday” he flashed a smile searching your eyes for contact. He locked his eyes on yours finally and you let out a weak chuckle ‘this idiot again…’ . “Is there anything you need help with Junhi?” you asked looking through your documents, only one man on your mind, heartbeat elevated.

Spark
It was at around four in the evening, when Jungkook walked past the giant glass doors at the entrance, into the well-lit, enormous workspace teeming with a rather dynamic mass of employees rushing around to get their work done. He noticed that to his right was a reception, and to his left, were some coffee tables along with a few armchairs which he assumed to be the lounge. Straight ahead at the centre, there were the elevators leading up to the innumerable floors present in the building.
As he glanced around the interiors and the infrastructure of the ground floor, the sound of heels clicking, drew his attention to a young, good-looking woman, who was walking towards him.
"Evening Mr. Jeon. I am Y/N, Mr. Kim's Personal Assistant", she said as she flashed a pleasant smile.
Jungkook admired her facial features. Her warm and inviting eyes were a deep shade of umber and the sunrays of the golden hour enhanced her flawless skin making her look undeniably beautiful. Her firm and elegant voice radiated her strong aura. She was petite yet her presence felt audacious.
"Oh, umm hi." Jungkook replied awkwardly as he realized, he had been staring at her.
"Mr. Kim is currently in a meeting, and he would be able to meet you in approximately 10-15 minutes. I have been instructed to keep you company until then."
"Great!" Jungkook replied almost inaudibly. He was glad that he would get to spend some more time with his recent acquaintance.
"Would you like to wait in Mr. Kim's office sir?" Y/N asked diligently.
"Sure!"
"Alright then, this way sir." Y/N said, as she started walking towards the elevator.
"Since how long have you been working here Y/N?" Jungkook inquisitively asked.
"This is my third year working here sir."
"So you're well acquainted with work and stuff, right? Specially with Taehyung, it can be quite annoying."
"I..." Y/N began.
"Agree." She completed with a small smirk as both of them entered the elevator.
"Don't tell him I said that sir." She quickly whispered and pressed a number.
Jungkook played along by nodding curtly and smiling assuringly. He was, after all slightly interested in her, and therefore, was keen on creating a good impression. Jungkook is in fact pretty chill with women and didn't have to try that hard. But boy was he having a tough time. He suddenly became highly conscious of every step he took and everything he said. How should one look like a genuine guy and not a creepy asshole?
'Come on JK, be cool' he told himself.
Jungkook decided upon not furthering their conversation anymore. Otherwise, it might seem a little forced and desperate. Besides, what would you say to your friend's assistant, whom you just met in a workplace other than work-related things? Surely, he can't ask her out just yet. So, he waited. Waited patiently, until he heard a 'ding' and the elevator doors opened. They walked in silence which was only broken by Y/N when she paused to open the doors to Taehyung's office and asked Jungkook to take a seat.
Y/N checked her watch and said, "Mr. Kim's meeting must be done anytime now. Let me inform him about your arrival. I will be right back sir. "
"Alright" Jungkook nodded.
Y/N POV
I closed the door of the office and noticed that Mr. Kim's meeting was indeed, done. He was standing outside the meeting room discussing with a man, whom I assume is the new client.
"Mr. Kim" I greeted him as I approached him. He was wearing a grey linen lounge suit and a white dress shirt with black hair pushed off his forehead.
"Ah yes Ms. Y/N. This is our client- Mr. Cheong, and this is my secretary, Ms. Y/N" Mr. Kim introduced us to each other.
The client, Mr. Cheong, was a well-known, successful businessman and the CEO of a few companies, majorly Cheong Corporation. He wore a navy suit, a light blue dress shirt and a matching tie. He looked like a man in his early thirties. The atmosphere felt a little strange around him.
"Looking forward to working with you Mr. Cheong.'' I smiled warmly and bowed slightly.
"Oh Ms. Y/N! It is my pleasure. I'm equally excited to work with you." He enthusiastically smiled and extended his arm out for a handshake.
I shook his hand for a brief period of time and for some reason, his smile did not seem genuine.
I turned to Mr. Kim and informed him of Mr. Jeon's arrival.
"I shall take my leave then Mr. Kim" Mr. Cheong announced.
"Alright Mr. Cheong." Mr. Kim said as he shook hands with Mr. Cheong.
"Ah I apologize, I seem to have forgotten the way out!" Mr. Cheong chuckled slightly in embarrassment and looked at me.
"Perhaps...Ms. Y/N could lead me out." He suggested.
No way. Sure there are multiple floors, rooms, and corridors, but there is no way this guy actually forgot how to leave this goddamn building. I mean he's the CEO of four companies for god's sake. Can't remember the exit? Bullshit.
"Of course Mr. Cheong." I smiled through gritted teeth and looked at Mr. Kim once before leading the way.
The meeting room was the last room in the corridor at the farthest end. We walked towards the elevator in silence, and it was obviously awkward.
"Since how long have you been working here Ms. Y/N?"
Jeez what is it with people wanting to know about my duration of work in this company?
"This would be my third-year sir."
"Oh. Well if you don't mind me asking, how much do you get paid here?"
"Enough sir" I replied, nettled by the intrusive and odd question. Mr. Cheong on the other hand, started to chuckle at my 'witty humour'.
Silence descended yet again as we walked further. Only the sound of my heels clicking, the distant chitter-chatter of the employees, and the squeaky handle of Mr. Cheong's briefcase had managed to interrupt the silence. After a few minutes, Mr. Cheong spoke again.
"Well, Ms. Y/N, I'd like to offer you a job in my company." He passively but abruptly stated.
Just then, we had reached the elevator.
"A job?" I asked, slightly taken aback by the sudden offer, as I pressed the button.
"Yes, Ms. Y/N, a job"
"May I ask why? Don't get me wrong, I'm just curious as to why you would hire someone you've just met."
"Hmm, I see potential in you, Ms. Y/N. You're skilled, competent, well versed, and most importantly, a charming woman. I think your work would be highly favourable to my company." He replied with a smile as he looked at me. Or...he replied with a smirk as he checked me out?
'No you're probably overthinking Y/N'
"So, what do you say Ms. Y/N?"
"Well, I uhh, I apologize Mr. Cheong. I just started working two years ago and I believe you'll find people who are way more capable and experienced than I am."
"But I insist Ms. Y/N. I could pay you twice what you're getting here. It's an offer you shouldn't refuse."
"I'm sorry sir, it is not just about the pay check" I replied, and fake laughed.
"Moreover I've signed a four-year contract with this company." I reasoned.
Mr. Cheong thought for a brief moment, smiled, and said, "Oh that's unfortunate! I hope you reconsider after the contract then. The offer would be valid for you."
And thank lord the elevator doors opened just then. Mr. Cheong stepped inside, and I pressed the ground floor button inside the elevator and stepped out.
"The exit doors will be right ahead of you on the ground floor sir. Have a good day." I smiled.
I noticed the change in his expression from a smirk to a frown and back to a disappointed smile.
Looks like he got the sass.
"Good day to you to Ms. Y/N" He said as the elevator doors closed.
'That went well'
Author's POV
Y/N recalled the previous conversation as she walked back to her desk. She realized that she should've been a little less savage. A deal with the Cheong Corporation and Mr. Cheong, an important business client, would be highly beneficial and imperative to the company. And by no means, should Y/N jeopardize it, regardless of how Mr. Cheong smiled at her or looked at her. She had to stay professional.
Y/N was met again, with the busy crowd, scrambling and surging around the vast room. She smiled and waved at a few employees as she passed by them to her desk. She took a seat and continued with her work.
Through the transparent and humongous glass panels, she occasionally glanced at the two old friends having a cheerful conversation. It was actually the first ever time in two years that Taehyung had invited a friend to his office. His office would usually host clients, shareholders, and business officials so it was rare to see a close friend in there.
And dating? You might ask, but nope. No time for that. Since the last two years have been...well how do I put it...busy? Yeah, let's go with that. Taehyung had joined the company as the acting CEO two years ago, along with Y/N. Ever since then, he wanted to put up his best work and prove to be worthy of running the company. And so, in the pursuit of excellence, he pegged away tirelessly for two years.
Now that things were a little under his control, and that he had earned the respect and admiration of the Board Of Directors and his employees, Taehyung decided to loosen up a bit.
Presently, Y/N pushed the long steel door handle of Taehyung's office with one hand while holding a wooden serving tray with two ceramic teacups along with their saucers, a sugar pitcher and two spoons in the other. Taehyung had asked Y/N to bring some tea for them.
She walked in, placed the tray onto the glass coffee table and smiled at the two of them who were sitting on the light blue couch.
"I assume you've already met her?" Taehyung asked Jungkook.
"Yes, I did." Jungkook nodded and looked at Y/N.
"So how did your conversation with Mr. Cheong go?" Taehyung casually asked Y/N as he picked up one of the teacups.
"Who?" Jungkook asked.
"Mr. Cheong. He is the CEO of a conglomerate, owner, and chairperson of Cheong Corporation. A high-profile corporate client who has signed a contract with Kim Enterprises." Y/N explained.
"And...umm, well it was odd." She continued.
"Odd?" Jungkook asked slightly bemused by the answer.
"Yes. Well, he offered me a job. And it was quite odd for him to do that, since we've actually never met before."
"Preposterous, what did you say then?" Jungkook asked further.
"I refused of course."
Taehyung's eyes instantly shot back up at Y/N.
"Why? I'm sure he would've definitely offered you more than what you would get over here." Taehyung eagerly inquired. He thought it was strange that someone would pass on such an incredible opportunity. He was disappointed that Y/N made that decision but pleased that she chose him and his company over Mr. Cheong's.
"He did. But sir, I signed a four-year contract at Kim Enterprises."
"Besides, Mr. Cheong...didn't seem like a guy with good intentions." Y/N added.
"So, is Taehyung...a guy with good intentions?" Jungkook raised his eyebrows and asked her impatiently.
"Uhh, maybe, maybe not, but Mr. Kim is definitely a guy without bad intentions" Y/N replied.
"That makes no sense" Jungkook expressed bluntly.
"I'll be outside if you require me Mr. Kim." Y/N announced as she chuckled and left the room.
"You've hired the right person as your secretary Tae. She is amazing." Jungkook said in pure awe of the woman who just left the room.
"Uhuh" Taehyung replied and noticed his friend's gaze on his secretary through the glass panels.
'Does he like her?'
"You wanna have fried chicken and beer for dinner?" Jungkook suggested as he looked back at Taehyung.
Taehyung nodded in reply. For some reason, Taehyung was slightly bothered by the fact that Jungkook was interested in Y/N. He doesn't know why though, Y/N was his secretary after all. Anybody has the right to date anyone. Y/N could date whomsoever she wished to date. So could Jungkook. And so could Taehyung. Right? Whatever. He pushed aside the sudden discomfort he felt when he pictured Jungkook and Y/N together, and focused on the dinner plan later this evening with his best friend.
“There! There, I heard it again, someone is calling out for help but I can’t find where it is!” Seokjin says in a panic, he’s been hearing your voice for minutes now. Although you aren’t really calling out for help, you don’t need it - breathing underwater is second nature now since you’re deceased and everything. Now that you think about it, its been over 15 years since you were on that shipwreck, the memory still haunts you to this day, remembering that every person who knew you went to your fake funeral with a fake body in the casket celebrating a very real death that never actually happened. Looking back at it you’re somewhat thankful that it happened, everyone working for Her -- the Sea that is, for 100 years.
Yep, that’s how it works, 100 years of service to the source which lured you to your death. But you’re not alone, there are millions of others like you, some that your friends with, and they all reached the same fate that you did, shipwreck? No, sorcery. Your voices are poisonous and luring, a simple word could make someone meet their inevitable death unless they choose to serve the Sea, which is another horrific process in its own ways and sorts.
“We need to help them, Namjoon, if we don’t they could drow and die! Don’t just stand there we need to save them!” Seokjin yells at his friend, the anger is flowing off his body in waves, touching your soul from the water. You know what’s going to happen soon, She’s going to make you sing and kill them, and you know you won’t have the strength to kill innocent people in fancy gowns and crisp slacks and pressed suits. They always look so prim and proper, wealthy - and you’re reminded that was once you. They jump into the ocean without any hesitation, the poison seeping into their bones and flowing in their veins until the boat sinks to the cold ocean floor. If they miraculously snap out of it, they are given the option to become a siren or die. If they choose the former, a dark blue liquid is forced into their mouths - a mixture to keep them looking young and pauses their aging, while also simultaneously making their voices hypnotic - if you don’t follow along with Her orders you’ll choke and die.
Do it y/n, sing for me - make me stay alive she whispers in your ear, ordering you to sing, to lead these poor humans to their death. You do so dutifully, but saddened, and th only two who remain are the ones you recognize. They aren’t awake, and you always told to let them be - they won’t remember anything, the shock and they will think they were dreaming, a simple, easy concept that you’re ever thankful for.
“Y/N? I took the survivors last time, so it’s your turn.” Sapphire tells you with a solemn face, she hates this just as much as you do - thankfully it’s only once every three months. You all finish singing once the last gurgled scream fades into the warm summer air. Taking Namjoon and the other man into your arms, She helps you carry them to the shoreline, from there, someone will hopefully find them and bring them to the nearest hospital before they die from starvation or lack of water. If they don’t you’ll kill them or turn them - depending on if they wake up. You curse yourself constantly for choosing this over painless death but another chance at like without any reminders of this way of living seemed so much better than your end.
“There, please wake up so someone can bring you somewhere far, far away from here.” You whisper lightly to the beautiful men - they’d make great sirens, good looking, and easy to make any women lust over them. Dipping back down into the water you bid one final goodbye to the men before heading home to your apartment, it wouldn’t make sense to any regular person to see beautiful women in the sea all day every day, so you and your friends Sapphire and Peisinoe can live like somewhat regular humans. You miss that life, but at least you can live like one of them while serving Her. Swimming your way to the small apartment on the other side of the lake isn’t very far for extremely strong swimmers like you three, and you’re there within the hour. It’s around late evening - roughly around 7 pm, and your thankful that no one will see three teenage-looking girls getting out of the water in soaked clothing.
“I hate that every time, why does She always choose us to kill innocent, young people who have a full life ahead of them? Sure killing older people wouldn’t be better but it sure as hell wouldn’t make me feel bad since they’ll die soon.” Peisinoe grumbles, her hands clenched into tight fists, the anger building up inside her, and soon enough she’ll want to go swimming. She’s the youngest - just turned 17 - but also the smartest out of all of you since she was turned so late. “Peisinoe, calm down, you and I both know that it’s easier for her to choose young lives than old ones. And they all had that fate coming.” Sapphire explains to her, she’s the oldest - serving the Sea for 21 years, she was also the one who lured you - and you’re thankful you have someone to listen to for wisdom and all that. This small argument happens after every calling, so when you leave once the yelling gets to it’s loudest none of them even hear the back door shut.
“Finally, peace and quiet.” You say to yourself quietly. Getting changed into your swimsuit you sink into the warm water, a long sigh leaving your mouth as you do so until you hear a familiar voice. “I’m telling you Namjoon - that wasn’t a dream, maybe a hallucination but not a dream.” He says, and you cringe, if he recognizes you then you’re dead. Taking a deep breath you go underwater and swim as far away from him as you can without making any above water movement. You can hear them faintly talking until a splash interrupts your thought process. You’re kidding, they can’t be swimming right after a boat sinking that they were a part of, that’s blasphemy you think to yourself, but you're wrong, and you can hear the two men laughing full-heartedly only a few feet away from you. Shit, what do I do now? They’re going to see me! You continue to ramble to yourself. After a long while, you decide to come up for air, realizing your only options are to worry your roommates or to act like you're a regular person - and in the long run only the latter will help you. Thankfully, your voice only lures people in when She needs energy, so you can talk whenever you need to outside of that time.
Coming up, you startle the two men, making them jump away from your direction. “See Namjoon, she was in that so-called “dream” you were talking about, it must’ve been real!” He calls his friend out, raising his arms up in the air triumphantly. You give Namjoon an odd look, and he simply shrugs mouthing a don’t worry about it before admitting defeat to his friend. “Oh you poor thing, you must be so confused, I’m Kim Seokjin, but you can call me Jin for short, and this is my friend and partner in crime Namjoon.” He explains to you like the past 12 hours never happened, you nod along to his words, introducing yourself.
“I swear I recognize you from somewhere but the odds of you being the almost goddess-like woman I think I saw is too rare. Maybe you’re related or something.” He thinks aloud before continuing to talk. You don’t know how long the conversation went by, but when you walk in the apartment lights are on yet no one seems to be awake. Looking at the clock you realize it’s nearly midnight and you’ll need to go to work tomorrow so you don’t raise any suspicion, especially since flu season doesn’t come around in Seoul very often. Turning off all the lights you head to your room and pass out immediately, with the ethereal face of no other than Kim Seokjin plaguing your dreams.
Your sleep is filled with nightmares, the innocent lives you murdered haunting your mind, making you restless. You can’t sleep, the memories making your insomnia arise, this happens every time, some worse than others but usually the same degree. Walking around the house, both Sapphire and Peisinoe are having the same issue as you, not surprising, ever since your first sinking it’s become a household event. You all nod at each other, not needing to exchange words to understand each other's pain, you all feel it. Sighing deeply, you collapse onto the couch and watch movies until the sun comes up and you can no longer sit comfortably in your small apartment, deciding to go swimming - thankful that Sirens don’t need sleep to survive.
Time goes by quickly, day after day you do the same thing over and over again until you’re all used to the schedule again, with the occasional mass murder you’ve all become so used to, one month, then two, until you see Jin again. He’s walking home from work - you’ve decided - his suit fitting crisp on his broad shoulders and built frame, Namjoon walking beside him, they notice you, and you feel some sort of butterflies in your stomach that’s been accompanying you every time you think of him. Somehow, a conversation starts, and you never want it to end, time slows and you notice how his eyes glimmer a bit more that usual when he looks at you, and you regret ever meeting him. The trouble he could get into if he were to love you - to even feel something for you - would be drastic. But the look in his eyes and the feeling in your stomach feel so alike it scares you and excites you at the same time. Bidding him goodbye you decide to swim, feeling Her presence will be calming, and that's precisely what you need right now.
Feeling the warm water envelope your body is exactly what you need, looking around you make sure no one is around before dipping your head under the water and swimming as far as you can, away from your friends, from Seokjin and Namjoon, from everything. Her presence is apparent, you can feel Her envelope in a warm embrace - like a mother would hug their child - and you feel safe, for a while you just stay there, enjoying the feel of comfort as it settles into your head and flows through your veins.
You need to stop talking to that boy, forget about him y/n. She tells you, and you know She’s right, but it’s infuriating that you’re an adult and still can’t remind yourself that you’re going to get hurt by this man you’ve come to adore. He’s going to hurt you, he’s using you to try and remember what happened that day that you met him, don’t be dumb - that’s not how I raised you. She whispers, every word that comes from Her makes your patience run thinner, She knows it too and that makes everything even worse. C’mon y/n, stop fighting me and just accept this, she continues on, and you’ve had it. “Get out of my head!” You yell underwater, trying to swim away from Her and you get away. Sitting by the dock, you want to cry, the reminder of hoe dumb you’re being creeping up your spine and settling into your brain. You're infuriated, everything is so infuriating, and you want it to just go away for a while, but that never comes.
Hours go by sitting at the dock, and by the time you decide to head in, the sun set and it’s well past midnight.

A Note from Kutemouse: I know, I know, I'm supposed to be working on my several Works-in-Progress, not something new. In my defense, I recently attended my class reunion and had a lot of feelings surrounding it, hence this piece of work. JK's character is a lot like the guy I was in love with for all of high school, someone I recently cleared the air with.
This work is raw and unedited (except for a brief spellcheck), so hope you enjoy kutie pies 💜

Connect Two (Angst, Fluff)
The party was, in a word, loud.
Just the way you liked it.
You and your best friends, Roseanne and Lisa, were standing near the couch, sharing drinks, laughing, talking.
“What about him?” Roseanne asked, her Aussie accent piercing through your jumbled thoughts. She raised her finger to a guy who had just entered the room.
You shook your head in disgust. “Ugh, not that guy. I remember him. All he wanted from girls was their virginity.”
“He isn’t even that cute,” Lisa muttered as the said guy in question walked past, tossing a wink towards you and your friends.
You visibly shuddered. “Believe me, you don’t want to touch him with a ten-foot pole.”
“Yeah Rosé,” Lisa teased. “What’s with your taste in guys tonight?”
She tossed a dazed smile back. “Apparently I’m way too drunk to pick anyone.”
“And why are we doing this again?” you sighed. “Thank you guys for your concern, but I don’t need or want to date anyone right now.”
“Who said anything about dating?” Rosé retorted.
“Yeah, fuck that noise,” Lisa added. “We’re trying to find someone for you to spend the night with.”
“I don’t think so,” you muttered, taking a sip from your cup in the hopes that it would help you tolerate your besties’ antics.
You had been invited to a party near your parents’ house by some old schoolmates, where you knew several people from your class would likely show up. So far, you hadn’t seen too many people you knew, but the ones you did were ones you only knew in passing. You had transferred into your school only three years before graduating. Everyone else had formed their own friends and cliques, and you had different tastes than most of the student population, anyway. Where was your group of nerdy, animé-loving schoolmates?
Oh, that’s right. There were only three of you, and the other two lived abroad, leaving you here to fend for yourself. You were just glad that he wasn’t here. You hadn’t seen him since graduation five years ago, and ever since then, you’d been rehearsing the same speech over and over in your mind.
I’m sorry.
Lisa audibly gasped, gripping your arm tight. “Where?” Rosé asked, looking over your shoulder. She too loudly gasped and grabbed your other arm.
“What?” you asked, glancing between their faces. “What?!”
Lisa slowly raised a finger, pointing behind you. You looked over your shoulder to see him walking by. “Shit!” you mumbled, turning quickly back around, heat rising to your cheeks. Of course. Just when you thought you were in the clear.
Rosé looked at you incredulously. “Wait, Y/n, do you… know him?”
To say the least. You had only spent every single minute of those three years in love with him. Back then, he had cherry red hair that did nothing to take away from his bright, shy smile and the ever-present mischievous sparkle in his dark eyes. You remembered the first time you met him.
You were standing in line with your best guy friend, Hoseok, to get food. The crowd inside the gymnasium was tumultuous with all their chattering, cheering, cat-calling. You were glad to get a reprieve from the noise, even if it was brief.
“Hey, Jungkook!” Hoseok called out. “What the hell are you doing here?”
“Hey Hobi,” a quiet voice said back. You turned to see him, a shy smile on his face as he stuck his hands in his trouser pockets. His dark eyes slid over to you, giving you a curious once-over. And just like that, every wall you had up fell. You had to get to know this boy.
“Oppa,” you muttered, nudging Hoseok.
“What?”
“Introduce us,” you hissed.
Hoseok smirked. “Jeon Jungkook, this is L/n Y/n.”
You turned and gave him a bright smile, which on second thought, might not have been the best thing. Jungkook looked extremely nervous. “H-Hi,” he stammered out, his voice cracking.
However, you were determined not to let his shyness get in the way of what could potentially be an epic romance.
“Hi,” you said back, holding out your hand. He took it gingerly, his grip gentle as your intertwined hands briefly touched.
You shook the memory away, your hair falling into your face. “Oh my god, you do know him,” Rosé said. “No way. Were you friends?”
“You should introduce us,” Lisa added, twirling her hair around her finger.
“Not a fucking chance,” you muttered. You tipped your cup into your mouth only to find it frustratingly empty. “Hang on, I need another drink.”
You made your way to the kitchen, stumbling slightly, when you saw him talking to another girl, laughing and smiling that bright, wide smile. Damn him. He looked even better than he had back in school, which was saying something. His jet-black hair matured him in a way that made your knees weak, casually falling over his left eye and giving him a sultry look. Tattoos now covered his arms and hands, along with a new piercing that went through his right eyebrow. “Holy fuck,” you thought. You placed a hand over your chest as your heart flipped over itself much in the same way it had eight years ago when you saw him for the first time. No longer was his grin shy and withdrawn, but confident and fearless.
His eyes shifted in your direction, connecting with your gaze for a few seconds before sliding back over to the girl he was talking to. Just that small exchange left you reeling. It was like nothing had changed. You still felt that same invisible string connecting both your souls together, tugging you towards him despite you using all your strength to break it. But you knew he didn’t feel the same way.
“Hey guys,” Jungkook said, averting his gaze as he opened his door and gestured inside.
“Hey JK,” Hoseok said. “Ready to have your ass kicked?”
“You wish,” Jungkook shot back, tossing Hoseok a small grin. “H-Hey Y/n.”
“Hey.”
You bit your lip to contain the grin threatening to cover your entire face. After that day at the game, you, Jungkook, Hoseok, and a couple of other guys had sat at the same table for lunch. One of your favorite things to do was to play board games or card games during your break, but what you all looked forward to the most was playing video games together.
You were okay, kind of ranging in the middle of the pack, but it was one of the only ways you could spend time with Jungkook. You loved who he became while you were playing video games. He turned from a shy, soft-spoken teenager to someone who knew what he was doing and knew he was good at it. Really good.
“On your left,” he called, directing you and Hoseok effortlessly. You glanced at him. He’d dyed his hair to an attractive brunette, and had obtained a couple new ear piercings. You inhaled sharply as he bit his lip in concentration, eyes focused intently on the screen.
“Y/n!” Hoseok groaned as the screen went grey.
“Oh, oh, my bad,” you said, ripping your gaze away from Jungkook.
“It’s okay, it’s time for a snack break anyway,” Jungkook said, standing up.
“I’ll help,” you said, feeling a fresh wave of confidence wash over you. Last year, you were the awkward new girl with braces and glasses that magnified your eyes in an unattractive way, but this year was the year Jungkook noticed you. You had gotten contacts, learned how to use makeup, gotten your braces off, and learned how to style your hair to frame your face in a cute way. This was the year you made your feelings known.
You followed Jungkook to the kitchen, watching his broad shoulders as he towered above you. He’d definitely grown a lot in the past year. And his smell… so enticing. You didn’t know what kind of cologne he used, you just knew you wanted to buy buckets of it to inhale from.
Jungkook opened the fridge. “What kind of soda do you want? I have Coca-Cola, cherry, grape…”
You were barely listening. All you could do was stare at him, his flawless, creamy skin beckoning to you. The string you felt connecting your souls tugged you forward, giving you the confidence you needed to take things to the next level. You stepped close just as Jungkook was closing the fridge door and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.
Jungkook dropped the can, letting it clatter on the floor.
He looked at you, his mouth parted open. “Y/n…?” he asked weakly.
You placed your hands over your mouth, shocked at yourself. “I’m… I’m sorry,” you said, turning and fleeing the room.
You nearly crashed into Hoseok. “Hey, what’s the rush?” he joked, placing his hands on your shoulders to steady you.
“Whoa,” he said, noticing your blown pupils and heaving chest. “Are you okay, Y/n?”
“Yeah,” you said breathlessly, holding a hand to your forehead. “I mean, I think so. Feeling a bit light-headed.”
“Want me to take you home?”
“N-No, I have my car, I just need a minute.”
“Yo JK,” Hoseok said, looking over your shoulder. You didn’t dare turn around. “Can you get Y/n some water? And make sure she gets home safely? I know she’s been staying up really late to study. I’d do it myself, but I’ve gotta go home to watch my little sister. My mom was just called into work.”
“Sure th-thing.”
Concern took over Hoseok’s features. “You okay?”
“Yep,” Jungkook replied, his voice much too high.
Hoseok didn’t look convinced, but he left you both anyway after saying his goodbyes. “I’d better go too,” you said, turning.
“Wait.”
You turned, hope blooming in your chest. Jungkook’s dark eyes caught the light as he stepped close, wide and earnest. He gently took both your hands in his and squeezed. Tingles exploded across your body, like mini-fireworks of every color lighting up your insides. “Y/n, I know you l-like me,” Jungkook stammered. “But I have to tell you something…”
The fireworks inside you fizzled out, your eyebrows drawing together as you anticipated his next words. “I like someone else.”
You slid your hands out of his. “What?”
“I like someone else,” he repeated, looking away from you.
You scoffed. Of course he liked someone else. There were a hundred other girls he could pick from, all of them prettier than you, smarter than you, better than you in every way.
“I’m sorry, Y/n.”
“For what?” you said, your voice hoarse. “It’s not your fault. You can’t help how you feel.”
Jungkook finally looked at you again, pity in his eyes. You turned away, hating that he felt sorry for you. For you! He should feel sorry for himself.
You closed your eyes, willing the anger away. You meant what you said. This wasn’t Jungkook’s fault. He couldn’t help who he loved or didn’t love.
“I’ve got to go,” you muttered, turning away.
“Wait, Y/nー”
“For what?” you said, whirling around to look him in the eyes. “For you to love me back? That’s never gonna happen, soー”
“You love me?”
“Shit,” you said under your breath. “No, I-I’m confused, what I meant wasー”
Jungkook took a step away from you, his face screwed up in distress. “Y/n… I’m sorry, I don’t feel the same way.”
You shrugged. “Okay. That’s fine. It’s fine. We’re fine.”
You grabbed your things and opened the door, the tears welling up fast.
“Did I fuck up?” Jungkook asked quietly from behind you. “Are we still friends?”
You turned back, your eyes shining with tears that hadn’t spilled yet. “Yes, we’re still friends,” you choked out. “I’ll see you at school.”
“Want a drink?”
You were shaken out of the memory by a guy standing in front of you that you didn’t recognize. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I asked if you wanted a drink,” he said, his voice filled with amusement. You sized the guy up. He was cute. Not really your type, but maybe you could make the most of tonight with a guy like him.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, causing you to turn. You were expecting Rosé or Lisa, but instead felt ice run through your veins as Jungkook’s dark irises met your own. “Dude, I think your girlfriend is looking for you,” he said pointedly.
The guy snorted and left, tossing a glare in Jungkook’s direction.
“I didn’t need saving,” you snapped, brushing Jungkook’s hand away.
“I know. I just wanted to talk to you.”
“So talk.”
One side of Jungkook’s mouth lifted in a halfhearted smirk. “C’mon Y/n, you already know what I want to talk about.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Do I?”
“Don’t you remember?” he asked, stepping closer. “Graduation?”
You blinked and glanced down at the floor, painful memories pushing past all the walls you’d built to hold them back.
“Congrats Y/n,” Jungkook said, holding his diploma, smiling shyly at you. Your heart skipped a beat. Despite everything, you were still in love with him. He had grown even taller, and his hair was now dyed a sandy brown with blonde streaks. He’d grown into his smile a bit, and had even grown confident enough to sport a bit of eyeliner that attractively set off his dark eyes.
“Congrats to you!” you said enthusiastically. “We did it!”
“We did, huh?”
The awkwardness between you two grew. Even after three years of spending time together, it seems neither of you could keep the conversation flowing. “Hey, can I talk to you? In private?” Jungkook asked suddenly.
Your mouth parted open in surprise. “S-Sure.”
You both stepped out into the darkened hallway, the only light coming from a few windows further down. “I figured I should be honest with you,” Jungkook said, looking down at his feet. “Remember when you kissed me a year ago?”
You blushed profusely. “N-No,” you said, cursing your shaky voice. Of course you remembered. How could you forget? It’s not like your feelings had changed. Despite him rejecting you, Jungkook still held the number one spot in your heart. Sure, you’d dated other guys and done your best to get over him, but that string was still there, connecting you to him, wrapped around your very soul.
“I told you I liked someone else.”
“Oh, yeah, that’s right,” you said. “I r-remember now.”
One side of his mouth lifted in a half-smile. He saw right through you, and you both knew it. “Well, that girl was Aubry.”
You resisted rolling your eyes. Of course it was. She was only the prettiest girl in your class. You didn’t know a single guy who hadn’t had a crush on her at one point or another. Aubry was not only extremely beautiful, but extremely nice as well. She’d stood up for you a couple times when her more snobby friends made rude comments toward you. As far as you knew, she’d stayed single your entire school career. She was a free spirit, a kite that wanted to break free from its string. You knew she wanted to travel and do volunteer work in less fortunate countries, not stay here and be in some relationship that would likely end in disaster anyway.
“She rejected me.”
Again, you resisted rolling your eyes. You saw that coming a mile away.
“But I never stopped loving her.”
“Jungkook, why are you telling me all this?” you asked impatiently. Your friends and family were waiting on the other side of the door, why were you here letting your emotions get torn to shreds?
“Because,” he said, twisting his hands around each other nervously. “Because I wanted to tell you I was wrong.”
You blinked at him. “Wrong? About what?”
“About turning you down. I should have given you a chance.”
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. “Wh-What?”
“I was so fixated on Aubry, I ignored everyone else,” Jungkook muttered. “But as far as being with you went… I can’t say I didn’t think about it.”
Silence built a wall between you two. “Are you… Are you serious?” you finally said.
Jungkook nodded.
You scoffed. “What the hell, Jungkook? You couldn’t have told me this earlier? We’re graduating! It’s too late!”
“I know. You’re going off to college abroad, and I’m focusing on my singing career. We’re going totally different directions, but I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t at least tell you.”
“Wow. You couldn’t have left well enough alone, could you?” you said, emotion clogging up your throat. “You just had to get one more painful memory in.”
“What? No, that’s not what Iー”
“Fuck you, Jungkook.”
His mouth dropped open in shock. “Wait, Y/nー”
“No!” You cut him off, holding a hand up. “You don’t get to break my heart like that again. Fuck you!”
You threw open the door and ran through it, angrily swiping at the tears that had finally spilled over.
“Yeah, about that,” you said, pushing the memory back down into the dark recesses of your mind. “Sorry I told you to fuck off.”
“Uh, I believe your exact words were, ‘Fuck you, Jungkook.’”
You rolled your eyes. “Whatever.”
Jungkook smirked before taking a sip from his cup. “Are you here alone?”
You folded your arms. “Maybe.”
He chuckled. “If you are, I’d like to keep talking to you, if that’s okay.”
You bit your lip to contain the smile that surfaced at his words. “Sure.”
Jungkook grinned back at you, melting your insides like butter tossed into a hot pan. That string that had always linked the two of you began to thicken, building strand upon strand with each flirtatious comment, each meaningful look, each chuckle and laugh. Maybe this would ramp up into an epic romance, or maybe this would merely turn into a beautiful friendship, but either way, your connected souls would never part ways again.
description: i worry that i wasted the best of me on you
Sitting on the kitchen floor with a half empty bottle of vodka at your side wasn’t how you planned your New Year’s Eve. Staring at the kitchen cabinet with a vacant expression wasn’t how you wanted it to go either, yet here you were alone, and empty. The sound of people in the streets screaming and cheering drunkenly as the clock got closer to midnight was the only thing keeping your mind present and not drifting your thoughts to him. His large eyes and wide smile that could capture a crowd’s attention in an instant. His laugh that would roar across a room with delight causing others to smile and laugh themselves. Everything about him seemed perfect, but you should have known that there was no such thing as perfect and someone pretending to be perfect would eventually slip.
And slip he did, right through a thick piece of ice.
Not literally of course, the heat in your country heated the water before it even had a chance to drop to such a temperature to freeze. No, his perfect façade faded. One day it was good morning texts, the next it was you asking if he was okay and him not replying till 4pm in the afternoon with one word – not even bothering to ask if you were okay. Trying to get a conversation out of him was like trying to squeeze shit through a straw, completely pointless. Yet there you were, trying and holding onto what was left. The hopeless romantic in you refusing to believe that it had fizzled out and he was no longer interested in spending time with you or wanting to know how your day had gone.
Just silence.
‘You’re so young, don’t worry about it’. Young? Yes. Tired? Exhausted. You had been known for the theatrics and anytime you tried to explain how tired and drained you were, they simply scoffed and told you that you’d be over it before you know it. It was easy for them, their husbands, wives, partners were their first or their second. Yet, you had a long history of short relationships that lead nowhere and were often fake while they chased who they really wanted. Then you met him. Over a year you had him where you wanted him to be and it felt nice to be able to tell people you had someone and it to be still the same the next time you spoke. He fit perfectly into the life you had imagined, never asking for too much and never expecting too little. Perfect.
Or was it really perfect? Did you see what you wanted to see? Did you ignore the signs he gave and pushed them back? Of course, if you didn’t then you wouldn’t be sitting on the kitchen floor, half drunk and thinking of every little thing he did – or didn’t do.
He did bring you your favourite food whenever he could. He did tell you what he liked most about you. He did support everything you did. He did protect you at every chance and he did introduce you to his friends as soon as you agreed. He respected who you were and the boundaries you had set. He did make you laugh, and a smile would always grace your face when his name was mentioned, or he walked into a room.
He didn’t tell you he loved you till you would. He wouldn’t go out of his way to see you when he was free. He did put his friends first. He did make you cry without knowing. He didn’t answer calls when you needed him most.
But that’s normal, right? He had his life to live, he couldn’t drop everything to run at your beck and call. So why did you? Why were you first on the scene when his smile fell? Why were you the first to schedule a date? Why was it always you telling him you loved him first, and sometimes only you?
“You’re being very dramatic,” Sasha says walking into the kitchen in her new year’s outfit.
“Is that right?” you reply in a monotone voice.
“You should come to the party! Everyone is going to be there, it’ll be fun.”
“I don’t feel like fun.”
“You don’t look like much fun,” Enya jokes walking into the kitchen, clearly not reading the room. Sasha shoots her a glare before returning her attention to you.
“Come on, I have a dress you can wear.”
“No thanks,” you say, “I’m good here.”
She sighs and looks at Enya with a concerned look, Enya simply shrugged in return before turning on her heels and walking out of the kitchen.
“Y/N,” she says kneeling down in front of you, “This isn’t going to help you.”
“I don’t want it to,” you reply, “I just want to feel it out.”
“You’ve been feeling it out for 3 months.”
“We were together for a year, I have another 3 to go,” you tell her. Half the relationship time and that is how long you’re allowed to feel sad about it they say.
“That’s a terrible phrase,” she groans standing up, “I’ll leave the dress and shoes by the door if you change your mind. Change into the clothes, don’t come in that.”
You look down at the dirty sweatpants and oversized jumper before meeting eye contact, “But this is such a look.”
“I’m not going to tell you what you look like,” she smiles before checking her bag, “We’re going.”
“Have fun.”
“We will!” Enya shouts opening the front door, “Fuck it’s freezing!”
“They think it’ll snow,” Sasha says, “Unusual for here since it’s always so hot.”
“Reverse global warming,” Enya laughs.
“I wish,” Sasha groans walking out of the kitchen, “Bye Y/N!”
You picked up the half empty bottle of vodka and took another swig before groaning and kicking it away from you. Everything felt bad and smelt bad if they got too close to you. Half of you hated what you had become and the other loved the miserable, empty feeling that resided. But Sasha was right, even though you hated to admit it. You needed to feel something different than the empty yearning feeling, and maybe a party surrounded by people who were too drunk to care that you were quiet would do the trick.
Right?
Wrong. The music was loud, the people were a lot drunker than first anticipated and to make it worse you forgot that the whole point of New Year’s Eve was the midnight kiss. You could always hide in a toilet or on a balcony while it happened, but there was something about it that made you feel a lot worse than just standing around watching everyone kiss a stranger.
“You’re here!” Sasha screams letting go of Hoseok’s hand, “And you smell nice!”
“I showered,” you reply as she shook you left to right excitedly, “Where’s Enya?”
“Her and Taehyung are playing a game of who can drink the most shots in a minute. She lost the first two rounds, she’s determined now.”
“Jeez, how many did Taehyung drink?”
“1, she couldn’t finish them,” Sasha laughs spilling her drink, “Shit! Come on let’s both get a drink.”
“I think I’ve had enough,” you say as she pulls you between the crowd of people.
“You had two swigs of vodka, that’s just a double!”
“Three.”
“Well drink a coke or something then,” she says throwing a can at you, except it misses and goes straight into the back of the person behind you.
“I’m so sorry!” Sasha screams.
“That really hurt!” she cries dramatically, you thrown as you pick it up off the floor as the boy, she was with crouches down with you.
“Thanks,” you mumble as your hand meets his over the can, a spark ran up your arm and you immediately knew who’s hand you had touched. His.
“Shit,” Sasha whispers from behind you.
“Y/N,” Jungkook smiles sadly.
“Yeah, hi,” you say taking the can off him and walking out of the kitchen. The first time you see him, and he was with someone else… and she was a lot prettier than you could ever imagine to be.
“No wait,” he says following you through the crowd and onto the balcony.
“What?” you ask trying to freeze your now piping hot cheeks.
“Your bright red,” he replies worryingly, “Are you okay?”
“Just hot,” you say putting the cold can to your cheek.
He laughs and looks at you intently, “I’m not with her by the way. She was asking me about my shirt.”
“She was flirting with you.”
“No, she wasn’t.”
You sit on the cold, hard floor, and groan, “Yes she was Jungkook.”
“Oh, I didn’t realise.”
“Of course, you didn’t,” you say lifting your head and closing your eyes. You feel his body sit down next you as he shifts awkwardly.
“How have you been?”
“The usual.”
He nods his head, “I deserve that.”
“Deserve what?” you groan.
“The coldness.”
“Yeah, you do,” you say looking at him, “Tell me, did I deserve it?”
“No, you really didn’t.”
“Didn’t think so.”
It fell silent once more as he fiddled with his hands in front of him.
“I’m sorry,” he says breaking the silence.
“You’re 3 months too late.”
“I feel like I’m 6 months too late. I didn’t treat you the best towards the end.”
“Well, you were trying to give me a clue,” you tell him with a sigh.
“No, I wasn’t. I was really struggling with university and work and I lost sight of who I was and who I had around me. I took a lot for granted.”
You shrug your shoulders as you watched everyone inside laugh and practically fall over each other. Yet here you were, on a balcony with your ex-boyfriend who was apologising over and over.
“No offense Jungkook, but I don’t want anymore apologies. They’re pointless,” you interrupt, “You can’t apologise for being an asshole 3 months after being one.”
“I know, you like action not words,” he says, “How can I show you?”
“By being considerate to your next girlfriend,” you tell him standing up, “And telling her you love her from time to time.”
“I love you,” he says, “I did then, I do now, and I will – forever and always,” Jungkook says before you opened the door to the party. Turning to look at him you saw the sincere, nervous look he had when you first met.
“Tell it to your next one,” you reply opening the door and pushing through the crowd. He didn’t come after you and you didn’t expect him to. The words you had left him with were harsh, but at least he knew how it felt to not have the person you love say it back.
Now it was time to focus on not losing what is left of you and stopping the anxiety you felt when you looked back at everything you had given him.
Except just one thought lingered as you walked home.

Concert Day.
Today was the most exciting and most awaited day during these past few months. From the moment you scored your ticket online, to the very second that you stood in front of the concert hall.
Hands shaking, you take deep breaths to calm yourself down. This was your very first concert and the more steps you took the more you shook from excitement. “Hey wait up!” your best friend Ryunjin says as she runs up behind you.
Both of you were all prepared for the event, lightsticks in hand and throat ready for the deafening screams you’ll be sounding tonight. “Remind me again why you’re shaking?” she says as grabs your arm to drag you to the front section of the concert hall. “Why wouldn’t I be? Seven gorgeous men who I didn’t believe were real, still won’t until I see them, are going to perform in front of us. How are you not?” you asked, giving her a questioning look then turning away as you looked towards the stage.
“Fair point”
As soon as you knew it the venue was fully packed as the concert was starting. The lights started illuminating the venue, and the screams of all the armies around you filled the room. Next thing you knew they were performing their first song. The fire surrounding them made them look way more good looking than they already were. As the song progressed you eyes travelled onto Jungkook who sang the first verse after Taehyung. He danced and sang and all of a sudden his eyes were on you.
For that brief moment time slowed down as he gave you a wink. Your cheeks turned a light hue of pink as you continuously started at him. Soon you were brought back into reality when you hear Ryunjin screaming “OH MY GOSH Y/N DID YOU SEE THAT? JUNGKOOK JUST WINKED AT ME!” while repeatedly shaking your shoulders violently. You chose to push past what just happened because the chances were low that it was meant for you.
The concert was going great and you felt as if you wouldn’t have a voice the following day from all your screaming. From all the energy from the song that previously played the lights dimmed to prepare the atmosphere for the upcoming song. The familiar tune of pied piper started playing in the background, and they gleamed even with their sweaty selves as the spotlights shown onto the group.
Jungkook started the song really into it, it was captivating as he closed his eyes holding onto his mic. As Namjoon started his rap Junkook’s eyes scanned over the crowd and stopped once his eyes met yours. His lips lifted up into a smirk as he broke the eye contact. I really must be imagining things you told yourself as your eyes moved onto Taehyung and Jin doing the pre-chorus.
You glance at Ryunjin who’s just staring at Taehyung in awe. “Y/N I don’t know what it is but the way Taehyung just stares into your soul as he sings just makes my heart do things.” you both laughed as she continuously stared.

“Neol guhareo on geoya (i’m here to save you)
Neol mangchireo on geoya (i’m here to ruin you)
Niga nal bureun geoya bwa (you’re the one who called me, see?)
daljanha (i’m so sweet)
Pirisoril ttarawa (follow the sound of the pipe)”
That entire he sang those lyrics he kept stealing glances until reached the final line of the chorus. “I’m taking over you.”
Your heart started to beat faster in your chest and your mind started becoming fuzzy. The rest of the song you were thinking about what just happened until he sang the bridge and held the eye contact with you the entire time.
Geurae naega jom wiheomhae (yeah i’m a bit dangerous)
Nado nareul gamdang moshae (i can’t handle myself either)
Geokjeong ma naui soneun (don’t worry my hands are warm)
Neoegeman ttatteushae ttatteushae (warm only to you)
As soon as he broke the eye contact at the end of his part you felt very flustered and you bit your lip in confusion. You looked back at Jungkook who tried to bite back a smile while walking to his place as they started to dance.
-------------
Soon the concert was over and the whole group was waving goodbye as they used the platform that brought them to the stage underneath. The fireworks that lit up the sky and the final chorus singing of the crowd filled the room. With tears brimming in your eyes “Wasn’t that amazing?” you asked as you turned to Ryunjin. “Best night of my life” she says with a wide grin on her face.
As you exit the concert hall you and Ryunjin agree to go grab some Ice cream outside before heading home. The walk towards the shop was filled with laughter as you both rewatched the concert through the videos that you took.
Once you’ve arrived you both get your ice creams and sit down in the booth near the window. The shop was a cozy cafe illuminated with fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and candles lighting each table.
While you and Ryunjin were talking you hear the bells of the door signalling someone entered the cafe. You turn your head towards the direction of the door to see 2 men come in wearing all black hoodies. Not minding it at first you and Ryunjin continue talking, until one of the hooded men approaches her and whispers something in her ear. Her eyes go wide as she stands up and says “I’ll be right back”.
Taking another bite of your ice cream you open your phone to scroll through instagram to see what you missed these past few hours. It wasn’t until you noticed one of the other hooded men sitting in front of you that you looked up from your screen and gave him a questioning look.
“Who are you?” you asked the stranger as he kept his head low and continued eating his ice cream. “I saw you tonight.” he said his voice sounding awfully familiar but you couldn’t quite place who it was. “I was at a concert I don’t thin-” he cut you off with a chuckle “I saw you at the concert.”
Getting awfully creeped out you stood up from the booth trying to walk away “That’s great but if you don’t mind I actually have to get going now.” As you’re about to turn away the stranger abruptly stands up and grabs your wrist making his hood fall from the sudden movement.
“Wait” you turn to ask what he was doing but as you did you were at a sudden loss of words.
“Jeon Jungkook?” you say too loudly glad that there was no one else in the cafe. “Do you remember me now?” he smiles showing you his bunny smile which made you melt. “You remember me?” you ask, still questioning if this moment was real or if you were dreaming. “You caught my eye the whole night I don’t think you’re that easy to forget. I honestly thought I wasn’t going to see you after the concert but here we are” he says a blush creeping onto his cheeks as he rubs the back of his neck.
The silence was cut off when you got a phone call “Hello?” you answered forgetting to check the caller ID. “Is he hot? Are you talking? Did he actually go to you? Did-” you cut her off already knowing who was on the other line “Yes he’s here, where are you”
“Uh I’m just outside with Taehyung.” shocked at how normal your best friend sounded saying that you were about to say something but hearing the phone line disconnect. About to text her Jungkook speaks up again “Actually I have to go in a while we said we were gonna be brief. I was wondering if I could get your number?”
“Oh yeah sure.” As you exchanged your number the bells on the door chimed and in came your best friend with Taehyung laughing. “Jungkook-ah we have to go” Taehyung said as they walked closer.
“All right Hyung. I’m Jungkook by the way and you are?” he said as he extended his hand. Shaking his hand nervously “Y/N, my name’s Y/N”. “Well I’ll text you later Y/N” he says with a wink “See you later Ryunjin” Taehyung says as he and Jungkook walk out of the shop waving their goodbyes.
---------
The next day Jungkook asked you out on a date in a park nearby. Strolling around on that warm spring day “The cherry blossoms are such a nice sight to see” you said admiring the light pink colored flowers that filled the branches of the trees that went on for as far as you could see.
“Yeah such a nice sight to see” Jungkook says turning his head towards you smiling.
For hours you both kept walking through the path getting to know each other, laughing, and having an overall great time with Jungkook. “How do you not like bugs, but like cool bugs? They fall under the same category.” you said holding your stomach from all the laughing you’ve been doing. “Hey! They’re so cool have you seen the way they look?” he says with a pout defending his statement.
After a while as the laughing died down and you just continued talking Jungkook suddenly asks “Can I take you somewhere?” you nod your hand as he interlocks his hands with yours. You could feel the blush creeping over your cheeks and Jungkook’s as well. He brings you to a bridge with cherry blossoms hovering over it.
“This is the romance bridge and I wanted to ask my future girlfriend out here.” he says with so much sparkle in his eyes like he dreamt of this moment as he turns towards you. You smile back and you both turn away to look at the people walking on the pathway below the bridge.
Slowly Jungkook’s hand makes his way to yours and gently interlocks his fingers with yours and a huge grin gets plastered onto his face. “I think I like this bridge” you say looking down and biting your lip to hide the smile forming.
----------
Time figuratively and literally quickly passed every time you were with Jungkook. But he always made sure even the short moments were spent together were as memorable as the last.
“Jungkook noooo you’re gonna spill salt everywhere.” you said as you tried to stop him from doing the salt bae meme. “But it’s essential for the dramatic effect” he says as he tries his best to imitate the meme
As Jungkook mixes the fried rice you were making you continuously stared at him and wondered how you got this lucky to be best friends with this man.
----------
A few months went by in a flash and you and Jungkook have had the best moments and memories spent well together. You and Ryunjin even visited him during his practices to bring food for the whole group. Taehyung and Ryunjin hung out and got closer as well.
You and Ryunjin decided to hang out in a nearby cafe after dropping the food off at the Hybe Labels building and hanging around there for a while. “I wonder when Jungkook’s gonna ask you out.” Ryunjin says as she holds her chin pretending she’s in thought.
“He’s not gonna ask me out, we're just best friends.” you say slapping her shoulder at the mere thought of it. “You’re so dense Y/N you should see the way he looks at you, I don’t think that’s how best friend’s look at each other.” as you were about to reply your drinks were brought to your table.
Thinking about what Ryunjin said you start questioning how Jungkook really felt about you. He was such a sweet person and he always made your day. He knew everything about you and knew how to make you laugh. Sighing you took a sip of your drink thinking Why does this all still feel like a dream?
You pushed past the thought and continued listening to Ryunjin talking about her and Taehyung’s game night the night before.
-----------
A year ago on this spring day you don’t remember much but all you remember were all the fun moments you spent with Jungkook no matter how short or small.
While you were watching whatever you could find on your youtube page late at night, you got a call from Jungkook asking to meet him at the park where you first hung out saying it was an emergency.
Rushing over there worried you frantically looked for Jungkook to find him nowhere to be seen. You ran around the exact path you walked on until you remembered the romance bridge he took you too figuring he might be there.
Once you arrived you saw Jungkook’s back facing away from you and you rush over to him. “Hey Jungkook are you okay-” your sentence dies midway as he turns around with his phone in hand tapping it and music starts to play. He walked toward you with a his bunny smile plastered onto his face
“Jungkook?” you ask as you start shaking out of nervousness. After a few steps towards you Jungkook was standing right in front of you.
Putting his phone in his back pocket he slowly caresses your face and takes a deep breath. “Y/N I’ve been waiting to do this for quite a while now. Remember that time I told you I wanted to ask my future girlfriend out here on romance bridge?” you nod your head as you look around wondering where the girl was.
He holds onto your chin to make you look at him again. “She’s standing in front of me.”
Tears filling your eyes Jungkook finishes his sentence by asking “Y/N will you be my girlfriend and be mine?” waiting for you answer he stares into your eyes searching for an answer.
Next thing you know you leaned in and your lips connected. It was soft and full of love and passion and your lips molded perfectly. It wasn’t full of sparks or fireworks like in the movies but it was the type of kiss that filled your heart and sent your stomach into a frenzy. You pulled away and connected your foreheads. “Does that give you an answer?” he smiles and leaned in again.
It wasn’t until you heard someone say “Finally!” when you broke the kiss and look behind Jungkook to see the entire group there and Ryunjin’s mouth being held by Taehyung for her to keep quiet. “Oh don’t mind us just pretend we aren’t here.” Namjoon says as you both laugh
“I’ll promise to take care of you forever even if forever doesn’t exist” Jungkook whispers into your ear. The wind blows and the cherry blossoms that surround you blow by your side creating a perfect moment, and Jungkook turns you around to hug you from behind as you just stare into the night sky.
---------
Sitting outside a cafe near the Hybe building you waited for Jungkook as he finished practice and was heading to meet you right now.
Scrolling through your phone you look at the new teasers for the upcoming album they’re preparing for and smiled at all the boys who looked amazing in all the photos. While you continued looking you saw a text notification appear from Jungkook saying “Look across the street”
You looked up from your phone and you saw him across the long street that kept you apart. Waiting for the walking sing to go green he jogged toward you with a smile on his face.
Until everything started to go by in a flash.
In movies everything goes by in slow motion when something like this happens. But in reality everything goes by in a blink of an eye. Next thing you knew you were running towards Jungkook who was lying limp on the road. You start screaming for someone to ask for help as you hold his weak body in your arms. Caressing his head you hold him close “Jungkook stay with me please” repeating the words stay with me again and again hoping he wouldn’t lose consciousness.
The sound of sirens increase in volume as the red and blue flashing lights approach you. The back doors of the ambulance open aggressively as two men ready out a stretcher and take Jungkook away from you. Everything was a blur from the way the driver repeatedly apologized to the way the paramedics were telling you everything was going to be alright at the back of the ambulance. You just focused on him and held onto his hands as tears flowed down your face.
“You’re going to be okay”
-----------
Arriving at the hospital Jungkook’s lips turned pale and his eyes were fighting to keep open. You kept holding onto his hand kissing it and telling him that he had to stay strong. You heard him say a breathless “I love you” before taking him into the operating you.
You sat outside the operating room doors and slid down the walls with tears streaming from your eyes not stopping anytime soon.
A few minutes pass and the rest of BTS run in with Ryunjin and the managers. Ryunjin sits beside you and holds you in her chest as you cry even harder. Caressing your head she looks at Taehyung with pain in her eyes seeing you like this.
The wait was hard especially with the atmosphere that was filling the air at that very moment. The managers walking back and forth and some on the phone talking seriously, the members on different parts of the room nervousness written all over their faces, and Ryunjin holding onto while drawing circles on your shoulder to help calm your nerves.
Sooner or later the doctor comes out with a devastated look on his face and before you knew it the tears were back on your face as you ran into the operating room.
“Jungkook you can’t do this to me you promised forever” you said as you fell onto your knees holding onto his hand pleading for him to wake up. You squeezed his hands, not able to face him while softly and repeatedly telling him to wake up through your choked voice from all the crying.
After a while of sitting there you felt his hands squeeze you and you stood up immediately. “Jungkook how are you feeling?” and the next thing you heard “Y/N I’m sorry I didn’t fulfill the promise of forever-” you cut him off by shushing him “It’s okay Jungkook”
Everyone started to fill in the room as they heard his voice but stepping back when they saw the moment between you both. “Everyone I’m sorry, Y/N I’m sorry.” The room was quiet except for the sniffles that could be heard. “Y/N I have something to tell you.” he said weakly as he looks up into your eyes “Anything Jungkook”
“I love you” and as you were about to answer his lips met yours. The kiss was weak but you knew Jungkook gave his all until all his movements became weaker and suddenly the beeping of his heartbeat suddenly stopped. You frantically shook him and held onto him as everyone tried to pull you away.
Soon you met Taehyung’s chest sobbing “I didn’t even get to say it back.” you hugged him tighter saying the words over and over “I didn’t say it back” and you closed your eyes and faded into black.
Suddenly you took a deep breath in and were confused like you were pulled out a trance. You looked around and a bunch of questions popped up in your head. Why were you back in your room? Why was Ryunjin just sleeping on the floor? Where was everyone?
More tears streamed down your eyes as Ryunjin woke up and asked what was wrong. You told her everything and she started rubbing up and down your back saying everything was okay. “It didn’t feel like a dream, it felt so real. I didn’t even say it back Ryunjin, I didn’t say it back.” you said as you hiccuped in her chest.

*cue spring day by BTS*
You waved goodbye as Ryunjin left your place. Eyes puffy from all the crying everything made sense to you now. Why everything went by so quickly and why time moved so fast.
The concert happened the night before but you went straight home with Ryunjin and nothing else happened as you both fell asleep. The dream that took place for a year and a few months merely only happened in a few hours of sleep.
You played music in your airpods and decided to go for a walk. While reflecting on everything that happened you walked up to a familiar park and the song that started playing was Spring Day by BTS.
You opened your phone receiving a notification from the BTS instagram page saying they posted. You opened it while the music played in the background and saw the Jungkook’s teaser photo.
Bogo shipda Ireoke malhanikka deo Bogo shipda (I miss you, when I say that I miss you more)
Neohi sajineul bogo isseodo Bogo shipda (I’m looking at your photo, But I still miss you)
Looking at the cherry blossoms around you you continuously walked with tears in your eyes.
*skip to 3:16 of the song*
You know it all You're my best friend
achimeun dashi ol geoya (The morning will come again)
Eotteon eodumdo eotteon gyejeoldo (because no darkness)

You arrived at the romance bridge and more tears flowed out from your eyes.
Beotkkochi pinabwayo (Cherry blossoms are blooming)
I gyeouldo kkeuchi nayo (The winter is ending)
Every step you took you get a flash of memories
Bogo shipda (I miss you)
Bogo shipda (I miss you)
To the day he first took you here and you held hands for the first time
Jogeumman gidarimyeon (If i wait a little longer)
Myeochil bamman deo saeumyeon (If I stay up a few more nights)
The moments where he made you laugh from his weird but funny self

Suddenly you hear someone panting from the side “Hey are you Y/N? Were you the one in my dream?”
