I didn't expect to write this, but I think Wordgirl actually beat DC and Marvel with one of their characters. Specifically, I want to say that chuck the evil sandwich making guy is just condiment king done right. The fact that a bunch of comedy writers for a PBS kids show figured out how to make a character whose gimmick was sandwiches become a credibly fleshed out character while DC comics felt content to only make condiment king a joke is beyond me. But it shows proof of something. It shows proof that a character like condiment king could become a legitimate recurring villian in a new batman show.
Batwheels already used condiment king, I think. So I almost hope the writers of Batwheels can make condiment king a new and credible threat on their show. Superhero shows aimed at younger kids seem like the best thing ever, really. What do Batwheels and Wordgirl have in common? Well, besides Tom Kenny. I'll tell you: they have a willingness to engage in comedy. I sometimes feel leery of really young children's stuff, since it's been used to create horror media before (which has kind of traumatised me and destroyed part of my innocence). But at least shows like this keep a nice sensibility to me. At least there's that.

I think DC should create a character named the Condiment Queen who's just a woman who idolizes Condiment King, of all people, and copied his gimmick. They meet each other while robbing a bank. Sparks fly, as does the ketchup from CK's gun that he shot at Robin, and it's love at first sight. Of course, it ends with them getting arrested, but within the week, Batman is staring at an invitation to their wedding, contemplating the benefits of faking his own death so he doesn't have to put up with this shit anymore.
Bonus points if Condiment Queen turns out to be related to Bruce.
