Tracking showed me I had multiple packages coming today. When I heard and then saw the mail carrier had finally come, I decided not to crowd the fill-in guy, possibly making him feel bad for being 2 hours later than the regular dude. Also he might not recognize me and opening my box from my side might not be enough proof of identity for him. Apparently not meeting him at the box was a mistake. He put most of the packages in the package box but decided for whatever reason that this package had to go in the regular box. And it was too big to pull of out my side. So I took the other packages inside and brought out a knife so I could open the package in the box. I have been buying and selling on eBay for 20 years and have had tens of thousands of positive interactions with the US Postal system and I don't want to disparage the organization or almost all of the very fine workers who make my life better. These are people who chose service to country as their calling. People who disparage government workers as a whole are trash. But this is the third time this dude has done this to me. But in the end my items survived the ordeal in perfect shape. And in case you were wondering, they were Harvey, Heckle & Jeckle and Tweety & Sylvester comics from Australia. The other packages were a TMNT puzzle, a Flintstones puzzle, 2 Tom & Jerry comics (which I bought hoping to know where the story in the Australian T&J comic came from. Nope) and a Rand McNally Scooby-Doo Read & Color book/coloring book. #usps #unitedstatespostalservice #comicsbymail #buyingcomics #mailbox #mailboxtroubles #governmentworkers #servicetocountry (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/By1QU1Ahlst/?igshid=157pwpgf5mjwj
