Character Asks

19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?

Celios was like.... the only character that came to me naturally and easily. Almost everything about their backstory and everything just kind of fell in place easily for me and it was so nice. Almost every character I've made has felt like a huge struggle and something about them feels fake and ingenuous but Celios feels real to me

And I guess my least favorite thing is that I have this clear image of Celios in my head but when I try to play them in D&D games I can never do it right lol. I have a very hard time being them, talking like them, responding to things the way they should.

9. How big is their role in the story? Do they make a frequent appearance or are they a character with little "screentime" but big influence? Or are they just a favourite background guy?

They are/were in two different campaigns, one of which is dead as hell and the other one is kind of maybe dead lol. Neither of these stories completed, so its hard to say for certain how it would all pan out. Celios is obviously the star of my world but I think in the grand scheme of things they're kind of a side character, not extremely special.

Although, in the first campaign, in their home world, they are a half-elf which is unusual in that world, so they're kind of notable in that way lol.

3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

Their name 💀 So. Celios was created right at the pinnacle of the great Tumblr Sexyman Contest (in February 2023 iirc). And I thought it would be soooo funny to make a character named after this contest. So their first name is basically a combination of Cecil and Carlos and their last name--Sansen--is a combination of Sans and Reigen. So now my most precious creature has this dumbass name forever 💀 at least its lowkey LOL

4. And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?

Hmmmm. Its a little nebulous. I guess I'll say appearance, because I was really indecisive about stuff, and it took a couple years for their form to really solidify lol. They have changed quite a bit from the first few drawings.
