This was skipped in the anime, where Klodoa’s words actually stopped him, but I am very mortified, in a good way, at the implication that he continued to torture Natsu, Gray and Lucy after this. 

Just, the scene where all three of them stand up again? Okay, that scene hits so much harder now that I know they weren’t actually taken out in one hit each.
