Sama-sama bertubuh tinggi, Cate tidak sudi berperan spt para gadis umumnya. Cate tipikal gadis yg tidak segan-segan menggunakan senjata apapun yg tersedia utk menghajar Taran setiap kali Taran meraba-raba tubuhnya. Untuk itu makanya Taran juga kadang harus menggunakan teknik yg lebih licik lagi utk menguasai gadis buas ini. Playful banter mereka lumayan bikin senyum-senyum. Tapi saya bingung juga kenapa gadis secerdas Cate tidak menyadari bhw sebenarnya Taran itu putra mahkota. . Saya memang belum tuntas membaca semua seri "Governess Bride" ini. However the words spoken by William to Saura are very "piercing" and he is also expresses his true love with action, saving Saura's soul like a knight in the past. Juliana didn't realize that Raymond (the man who was in this arranged marriage) was in front of her nose. . Raymond intentionally disguised himself and allowed Juliana to misinterpret him as what Juliana considered an architect of the castle. And how angry Juliana found out that Raymond was lied to. In the castle of Juliana itself, many parties opposed their marriage, added with the arrival of Raymond's parents who were determined to cancel this unequal marriage in their eyes. Fortunately Raymond was smitten on Juliana and he wasn't a womanizer. I received an advanced reader copy of Strangers She Knows from Harlequin via NetGalley, in return for my honest opinion. Strangers She Knows by Christina Dodd is the third installment in the Cape Charade series. Kellen thought that she was finally gaining some normalcy in her life, when she finds out a serial killer has escaped from prison- vowing to find Kellen and kill her. Kellen’s husband, Max Di Luca, decides the best way to keep his family safe is to move to a house, on a remote island, owned by his family. Rae, Kellen and Max’s teenage daughter, isn’t too keen on living off the the grid. After a few weeks, the Di Luca’s acclimate to their idyllic surroundings. Once they realize they’re not alone on the island, Max and Kellen’s panic begins and keeping Rae safe is their only objective. This was an excellent conclusion to the Cape Charade series. The story was funny at times and intense at other times. I especially enjoyed the story line involving the house’s history and its previous occupants. Strangers She Knows came out September 17, 2019. Kali ini saya mencoba membaca That Scandalous Evening by Christina Dodd, dari seri Governess Brides, favoritku. Pertama kali seri ini diterjemahkan oleh Oaktree (sekarang udah almarhum tuh, sptnya semuanya dialihkan ke Elexmedia atau GPU deh), sekarang dilanjutkan oleh GPU. Setelah ditelaah lebih lanjut, ternyata Scandalous Evening ini justru buku pembuka seri Governess Brides ini. Jangan tanya ke saya kenapa justru belakangan yg pertama diterjemahkan. Today's October 18th task for #bookscoasttocoastoct is to share something for #ThrillerThursday. I don't think I own any thrillers! 🤔🙈 But I do have #RomanticSuspense books, and they're thriller-like! 😄😍❤ . . . . Pictured above I have eight books of Romantic Suspense by five authors (really just four, though). The top row contains what are arguably my most favorite stories by Jayne Ann Krentz & Nora Roberts. 😍❤😍 Sadly, I don't yet own Year One by #NoraRoberts, which might truly be my TOP favorite book of hers. 🙄 Has Year One been released in mass market paperback, yet? 🤔 . . . . Row Two begins with my most favorite books by #ChristinaDodd & #LindaHoward, respectively. And then I have two of my other favorite stories by Amanda Quick, who is #JayneAnnKrentz writing historical romantic suspense! 😄😍❤😍 . . . . Apart from the two #AmandaQuick books* (#ThePaidCompanion & #WaitUntilMidnight), all of the stories are contemporary, although some are more truly contemporary than others. #TheWitness (2012) & #BecauseImWatching (2016) were published this decade, within the past 6.5 years. #FallingAwake* & #NorthernLights* were both published 14 years ago, in 2004. #AbsolutelyPositively* & #NowYouSeeHer* were published last century, though, in 1996 & 1998 respectively. 😄❤ . . . . I really love all of these stories. I've read the * six of them so many times I've lost count. 😍❤😍 . . . . I used to read a lot of Romantic Suspense by lots of different authors, but after Linda Howard's Cry No More I stopped and started reading mostly Urban Fantasy. I haven't read a new Linda Howard book since. Why? Because Cry No More shattered me so completely that I can STILL remember what happens in that book. And I read it ONCE nearly 15 years ago! 😲 . . . . For years, I would only read romantic suspense by Jayne Ann Krentz and Nora Roberts. But in 2017 I saw a Facebook post from @jayneannkrentzauthor raving over her friendship with and the new book by @christinadoddbooks, so I gave Because I'm Watching a read and fell in love.
