suspected npd culture is being unable to comfort people then feeling like shit about it. why can't I just help out the ones I love most? why do I have to wait for others to do it for me? what the fuck is wrong with me?

So tired of people who think cluster B stands for cluster Borderline. IT'S A CLUSTER. MEANS THERE'S MORE THAN ONE THING IN THERE. It's not because you have BPD that you are exempt from being ableist. So fucking tired of this narrative.
someone i know recently admitted to having faked both personality disorders that i am diagnosed with for attention. and i am a little bit angry because everyone is coddling them for it but i am genuinely upset because that's what i live with and you wanted to fake it to look cool? knowing i live that way? right
I'm so tired of being a good friend.
It gets so exhausting listening to you complain and trying to comfort you, and then getting nothing in return when I'm upset. I'll listen for hours to you cry over something I could not care less about because I care about you as my friend, but I can't even complain for a few minutes until you wanna change the topic?
All I do is help. It takes so much effort, but I do. I try my best to make you feel as understood and listened to as I can, and you thank me. But beyond your thanks, you give me nothing in return. Why? Why do I have to mask constantly to make you comfortable, to keep you around? I'm tired. I'm so, so tired. I'm the best friend you could ever ask for, yet you still do nothing for me. I don't know why I even keep you around anymore.
Our friendship has drained me of all that I have and I have no more left to give.
I love helping people. I love being helpful. It makes me important and useful! They can’t possibly leave/replace me so easily if I have some use to them. And it makes their perception of me positive :) so I build a good rapport. Everyone’s more likely to love me and look up to me. And if I’m in a predicament, they’re more likely to come to my aid. So much benefits for keeping up this mask.
Drawback is that I can’t be my authentic self, especially if people have befriended me for the mask version. And being nice to people who genuinely piss me off—it would be nice to just let go and go off on them. But that would risk screwing up my image (unfortunately).
On one hand, they love me and think highly of me! On the other hand, they don’t actually think that of me. They love me for who they think I am: the perfect personality that I have slowly crafted over the years. But when they see me for who I really am? Suddenly they no longer love me—it’s as if they never did. I am the object of contempt and disgust. Even if my intentions were good, I am seen as a pest—an infection—a virus.
It all falls apart and they all drift away as if they never knew me. Once I am no longer perfect I am no longer worthy of their “love”. How can anyone be as foolish as to consider that “empathy” and “unconditional love”, when the main condition is that I become whatever they want me to be? It’s all conditional if you ask me. One wrong move, one negative emotion—and suddenly I’m irredeemable scum. I’m not allowed to be upset or agitated, or else I may “scare them” or set them off. I have to carefully choose how I present myself, yet they can do whatever they want to me? They get to pick and choose who is worthy of their “empathy”, yet I must always have altruistic intentions when being nice to people? Oh, how unconditional their love is..
I fear I am splitting on everyone I know in real life since they barely have shown care for me or interest in me as of late
I wish the world weren't a coliseum and I weren't a gladiator. The crowd cheers and sings my praises, while everyone who steps foot in the ring is a threat I have to eliminate. I have to be better than them or I die.
