If you really were an "empath", you wouldn't be so quick to assume I'm an abuser because of a mental disorder I was diagnosed with
NPD culture is when you're angry all day because your art didn't even get 10 likes in a day. Now I don't want to draw, but I keep doing it because I still hope people will notice me.
I could draw more popular characters, but I have no desire to be part of popular fandoms.
Why don't people like my art? I've been drawing almost my entire life. Is my digital art really that bad? Why do you like artists who are worse than me? They're not even that smart or interesting, but why do people like them? Why do you like less talented artists but not ME?
💜
I don't think people talk about how serious NPD actually is, genuinely.
Like we always feel like the victim no matter the situation and it fucks up our relationships all the time— seriously.
We get really upset and anything and everything. We can't handle criticism and either rage or get defensive when given any.
We split often too. We go from loving to hating something. We go from loving ourselves to hating ourselves. We don't have a stable sense of self (I suppose it wouldn't happen anyways since we're plural)
We have literally "backtalked" to our parents so much when they trigger us. We're violent too at times towards our body's sibling because we get so pissed off at the slightest thing. (It's not bad, jst pushing like typical siblings do but still).
We've had breakdowns before due to being triggered. The slightest wording or thing someone says and we think its rude makes us just stop talking to them all together and typically they don't even mean for it to be rude.
We've also gotten beyond jealous so many times. Looks? Jealous. Higher headcount? Jealous. ( In the past ). Etcetc.
transnpd folks be free to use this as tips in a way if you want
“youre faking npd because you want everyone to treat you like youre special!” im faking NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER… because i want everyone to treat me like im SPECIAL… babe do you understand what youre saying
How tf are some people so nice and considerate to others
Like don't get me wrong im nice to people and all but some people are just... SO nice and i always just stare like
"Where do you find the energy....??????"
Maybe im just an evil narcissist though idk

theres so many fun ways to write morally good or complex npd characters im so sad ppl always default to evil/bad moral compasses with their npd-coded characters even if it isnt intentional
i want a morally good character who only does acts of good for the approval of others; superhero who saves civilians for ego highs with no malicious motive, a noble knight with covert npd who uses his position to help his fragile confidence.
i want a character preoccupied with their own perceived success but still makes sure to treat the people around them with care (to the best of their abilities), even if its for just social status, and not have this deemed "morally complex" for being self-centered.
i want representation for ego crashes and characters with fragile egos, i want to see the "egotistical asshole" character breakdown and show vulnerability, i want them to discuss the trauma that comes before wanting so much attention and having such unrealistic expectations of yourself.
i want characters who struggle with empathy trying to navigate relationships and not being turned down immedaitely, trying to get better even though they dont understand how their actions might affect others.
i want characters with npd who arent just a stereotype of symptoms. i want complexly narcissistic characters. i want narcissistic characters who are working on themselves and arent just the blanket "egotistical asshole" stereotype.
“Psychopaths/narcissists love being violent, they get off on it”
Ok well I punched a guy today and I didn’t feel anything at all
