Backstories? {DSMP}

Okay, let’s talk backstories for a bit, specifically Phil and Techno’s history. I’ve had this thought for a while now and I rambled on about it with my friends. We’re all aware of how Techno was basically the same age as Wilbur when the Antarctic Empire was made right? Both were teenagers at that time (if we’re following the DSMP’s timeline.)

The current canon right now (correct me if I’m wrong) is that the formation of AE is what led to Phil and Techno’s friendship and this all happened in SMP Earth. I wasn’t part of the fandom during that time so tell me if I get something wrong here, I only have bits and pieces of what actually happened in SMP Earth.

So, SMP Earth and DSMP are somehow connected and it’s established that the only clear and canon family relation is Phil and Wilbur {and maybe Tommy but again it’s pretty unclear} Then that means, during the time of SMP Earth, Wilbur and Techno were both leaders at a young age. Techno being the ruler of AE and Wilbur being the overseer of the entire world. These two were teenagers at the time and both were successful leaders.

With this information, all I could think of is Phil’s teenage son scolding him and Techno about trying to take over the world. I just found it pretty funny how Wilbur was scolding not only someone who was basically the same age as him, but also his own father. What’s even funnier is that Tommy (again, using the DSMP timeline) was probably an actual child at the time and he already had so much conflict to deal with at such an early age.

Now here’s where I started taking things seriously. Remember the first time Techno joined DSMP? Tommy eagerly wanting Techno to join Pogtopia but Wilbur was hesitant?

What if they both knew what Techno is capable of, however because of that one incident where Wilbur and Techno went on to butt heads in the past, the two have past issues with each other that Wilbur hasn’t let go of. Techno moved past it, willing to help with the revolution but Wilbur wasn’t. Maybe that’s the reason why he was so unsure of Techno joining Pogtopia. 

Tommy on the other hand knows how powerful Techno could be if given enough time. He knows what he’s capable of, experiencing it at a very young age. Maybe during the AE era, he saw Techno being such a powerful force in the world that he wanted to stand along side him at some point. This could explain why he wanted Techno to join them on the revolution, to fight along side the best warrior he knew and guarantee victory.

I don’t know if the connected universe of SMP Earth and DSMP is canon, I just thought it was interesting that this could be the possible backstory for Phil, Tommy, Wilbur and Techno. Feel free to correct some information and add on to this little thought.
