i hate how it's always "i let my child do [x]" and not "my child did [x] (because they wanted to)"
That one thing I wrote about controlling relationship forcemasc except it's the recovery-
And yeah the dude was totally an egg but after realizing his relationship was super unhealthy and controlling once getting out of it, it feels like absolute shit to try to regain his old self and realize it's not him anymore.
Did she have that big of an impact on him?
Your significant other shouldn't have to pay for the sins of someone else who hurt you
It's understandable that you're hurt and possibly dealing with insecurities
But that doesn't mean it's okay to essentially punish your current partner for what happened
It's even less okay to expect them to just deal with it and if they push back then "they don't love you" or whatever
It's not easy, but you have to work on those kinds of things. Wait to date, therapy, whatever you gotta do
Day 1 - How did we get here?
[PT: Day 1 - How did we get here?]
OC/s: Witness (POV); Eminence Status: Canon Warning/s: Implied toxic relationship. WC: 801
The situation was so mundane, so routine. Sitting here and having tea with his brother, taking the time to ‘catch up.’ Not like he ever had anything to share nor did he particularly want to hear half of the stories Eminence shared with him; not that it stopped him from listening anyways. He could never bring himself to ignore his twin, not entirely.
His mind wandered as he took a sip, barely even tasting the drink. Once more he couldn’t help but ponder the question of how they’d ever gotten here, how this all happened. Sure he could see the line between ‘here’ and ‘there,’ it was lit up in painfully bright neon lights, but did it have to have come to this? Was this some kind of inevitable fate? Or were they simply cursed.
there's something so fucked up about growing up emotionally neglected leading to you falling into cycles of emotional manipulation.
like what do you mean my parents dragging me around to my siblings' activities, not taking interest in my interests, and discouraging crying and crushes lead to me being stuck on a boy who gave me a bunch of affection and attention if i did what he wanted, was clingy and controlling and regularly embarassed me in front of our co-workers in the name of affection
like how the hell did i get here???
FROTHING AT THE MOUTH OVER CHARACTER PARALLELS
Okay so in my story Hidnight I draw parallels between the protagonist, Connor, and one of the main antagonists, Canagan. They were both born human, both abused by their mothers, both turned to religion to cope, etc. But I've had a breakthrough...
Accalia/Canagan vs. Connor/Neoma!
To be with a Narcassist
Once your narc knows you are all in you let down your guard , they reveal themselves. They believe that now they can abuse you play games because you are all in. They can play a victim, gas light you, make you feel guilty for treating them a certain way.
They are con artists. Once you arent suspiscious anymore you trust them and they know it the minutes you exhale your narc will begin to get distant and the climate of the relationship will change the devaluation starts the being aloof begins they gas light you they arent putting you on that pedestal anymore the problem with being placed so high is that pedestals are not balance the wobble and you fall and get hurt Now the narc gets invalidating and manipulative they dont give you the attention you craved in the first 3 months so now you may blame yourself you may think you can bring those great moments back but before you know it you are in a cycle of trying to get that HIGH back So you think to yourself what went wrong You guys had a blast all was great you guys had such chemistry he was so understanding aahe was so caring AND compassionate he was always there to listen Now he or she is evasive not around much he doesnt answer my texts or calls like before then the discard comes' LOve bombing doesnt occur at once its cyclycle they come back after weeks or months or years and they hoover you to draw you back in it may be becasue they need an ego boost validation they need stimulation They get activated to draw you in again becasue they lost you trust the pattern dont get addicted to it
