people should be able to talk about symptoms that society has deemed “gross” or “weird”. disabled + chronically ill people deserve to be able to share their experiences and get support without judgement from able-bodied people.

the FUNNIEST thing is when someone (more specifically Mom) asks me a question beginning with “do you remember …” or “do you think …” i cut her off and say “no”

Here’s a TikTok I made!
(If anyone can make a better description please feel free to add, I am used to only doing descriptions for images so this is my first video description)
[ID TikTok of an androgynous person showing off their mobility aids in their backyard. They wave their fingers over text reading “Which mobility aid should I use?” as audio says “choose your character”. Upbeat video game music plays throughout the video. First cut is them standing with no aids looking puzzled. Text reads “Nothing. Bad idea. I will likely dislocate something.” Second cut is them sassily walking into frame with a black T cane with the trans flag painted below the handle. Text reads “Cane. Great for shorter outings or if I’m out longer on a good day”. Third cut is them walking into frame with black and silver forearm crutches decorated in gothy stickers and ribbon. Text reads “Forearm crutches. I can use one or both! Great for longer outings when I’m outdoors or on a good day”. Fourth cut is them rolling into frame using a wheelchair and showing off both sides. The second side has a magnet that reads “I’m so gay i can’t even drive straight” and has rainbows on it. Text reads “Wheelchair. Best for longer indoor outings with minimal difficult terrain.” They roll towards the camera and rest their chin on their hands and text reads “feel free to ask questions and I will be happy to answer!” End ID]
migraine autism culture is fucking hell 💙
hey! i have a question for your followers (since i recall asking you before and you didn't know, but it's still an issue): does anyone know of a screenreader for android that can read discord messages (or maybe different tumblr posts on my dash) continuously without stopping? i have to use the built-in "select to speak" and i have to find the point where it left off every time it stops, which somewhat defeats the purpose
Does anyone in the blind community know?
maybe we should focus less on the kink at pride discourse, and more on the fact that pride is literally so inaccessible for disabled people oh my god
