Jarro gets a body. After Jarro expresses the isolation they face in the jar they are named for, Bruce commissions a mechanical body to be made for them.
Bruce works with Mr. Terrific, Atom, Cyborg, Oracle, and Red Tornado to create a nigh-unhackable mech suit that connects with Jarro’s nerves to allow them free movement and access to all five senses, thus freeing them to go to school, make friends, publicly spend time with family, and train to become the 7th Robin!
Jarro is the first Robin to receive approval from their predecessor, Damian Wayne, before taking on the mantle.
I know Jarro at least dreams of being a Robin but when I looked it up, I found differing opinions on whether they were ever an official Robin or not (in any universe). If you’ve read the issues they’re in, let me know. All my posts double as invitations for discussion!
Personal fic goal this year is to attempt a oneshot Batfam fic where everyone in the Batfam reacts to Bruce bringing home a sentient alien starfish, loudly proclaims said sentient alien starfish is their newly adopted brother, and then promptly passes the fuck out before anyone can ask any further questions like the dumbass he is.

I've forgotten to share my picture of the Best Robin.
Jarro, The Starro clone of Batman and Starro the Conquerer. Its some philosophical musing on the nature of Nurture vs Nature, or some stuff like that, but we get a terrifying silly little guy from it.
Anyhow love Jarro.
This is my version of him for my AU Earth 1515. Jarro is capable of of fighting on his own terms with his own body. I'd perhaps say I'd prefer my chances against him in the android than I'd have against him in his own body. I'd loose either way because I'm a lousy combatant. At least when he's in his android body he's not going to jump on my face and mind control me.
Anyways Jarro of earth 1515 was given an android body as a way to help him emote and relate better to people. Because as a Starro he'd have some difficulty with that.
The body makes use of not only earth technology but also Martian Bio-Tech that Jarro has an easier time controlling and manipulating compared to the inorganic technology parts.
When not using the android for Robin purposes he uses his natural shapeshifting abilities integrated with the Martian Bio-tech to manipulate the appearance of the hair and body. He uses this to a great effect as Robin: retroactively confirming the theory that Robin was a shapeshifting Meta from the citizens of gotham. He'll sometimes even mimic specific versions of robin that his siblings have done.
The android is also great to help him stay in a more comfortable environment for him. That way he doesn't need to spend 22 hours or so in his terrarium in the Batcave. This way he can move around. Without having to rely on someone carrying him around in a jar. So its a very off mobility aid.
Eventually He'll grow too big for the android to support him but that will take decades.
Full Stop though, I got the inspiration for this from some post I saw on pintrest of an antropomorsized Jarro, but it was uncredited, so thanks for the inspiration.
hey, I just read your Alien Au. So, few questions. One, are any of the BatFamily Members Human? Like, Batwoman or Oracle maybe? Two, what does Alfred think of this? Three, do they have alien pets? Alien batcow? Four, Is Jarro in this AU? is he just, like, a human in this one? Anyways, thank you!

Okay so I'm still figuring out which kid is which alien race (I'm doing a lot of googling of DC Alien races lmao)
1. So far I think Bruce, Alfred, Stephanie, and Babs are going to be the only humans of all the bats. All of Bruce's children will be aliens in this au
2. Alfred is resigned to this, he's hit the "this may as well happen" stage. Give the man a vacation
3. Absolutely alien pets, and ABSOLUTELY ALIEN BATCOW :D (what kind of pets will be determined more after I figure out the alien races)
4. I had not considered Jarro in this au, I think making him a human that just gets picked up as the only non-alien kid would be hilarious though so yes. Jarro is now the only human kid in the household this is canon now.
(if anyone has any alien race recommendations for any of the kids pls lemme know)
Whats with the Jarro hate? Hes just a little guy, its not his fault the writers dont pay attention or show dislike to other robins. How about we get mad at the writers for overlooking Duke and Cass instead of hating on a starfish. Like, hes fictional, guys, the writers arent.
