I have made some of the homestuck trolls into warcraft trolls. please enjoy. :>
I love the trolls from wow. thought i would give them tribute with another type of troll that has come along into my headspace. Was a bit rough to try and translate the designs into wow troll type attire and the background stuff as well but dang was it fun to combine interests like this. this is why i am doing that "all of the main cast of homestuck with some other character" quest/challenge thing, because thinking about all the stuff attached to this is SO fun.
On the left, Derro! These are small dwarves, so like 3-4 ft (0.9-1.2 m), with spells like invisibility, sleep, and mage hand! They're also very dexterous, and can see ultraviolet light. When the mindflayers turned dwarves into duergar, some didn't escape and were abandoned by thier kin once again. Those became the derro. They're clever, stealthy, and suffer from paranoia and mania. They're usually on some sort of strange and obsessive quest, like collecting all of a certain kind of rock, or fighting every penguin.
On the right, Dire Troll! These are trolls that have grafted bits of other trolls onto themselves, or just eaten other trolls! These things are huge, meaning AT LEAST 16 feet (4.9 m) tall. They can have any configuration or amount of any body part! Let your imagination run wild! They also seem to primarily just crave troll meat, so you might be off the menu!
Dire Trolls: The Hulking Warriors of the Troll Race
Dire trolls, sometimes referred to as berserkers, are a unique and extraordinary subset of trolls, renowned for their massive size, immense strength, and exceptional abilities. Although they share the same genetic roots as other trolls, their towering stature and powerful physiques distinguish them as some of the most formidable members of troll society.
The origins of dire trolls are varied and often shrouded in mystery. Many of them undergo magical or alchemical transformations to enhance their physical capabilities. In some cases, these transformations are the result of intense rituals. Regardless of how they come to possess their remarkable strength, dire trolls are considered among the most elite warriors in troll society.
In Zandalar, dire trolls are revered for their incredible power and battle prowess. These warriors have undergone years of intense training and sacrificed portions of their lives to gain formidable strength, often through dark rituals. This power makes them the ultimate soldiers, capable of turning the tide of any battle. The fearsome combination of their immense size, combat skill, and magical enhancements earns them a high level of respect within their society.
Within the Zandalari tribe, dire trolls occupy a critical position in both military and political spheres. These elite warriors represent the pinnacle of Zandalar’s fighting forces, having honed their combat techniques through rigorous training and ancient rituals. Their strength, however, does not come only from their physical attributes; it is also bolstered by dark magic and life-sacrificing rites that enhance their abilities, solidifying their status as an unparalleled force.
Recognizing their importance, the Zandalari have ensured that dire trolls always have a voice on the Zanchuli Council, the governing body of the Zandalari Empire. This inclusion allows dire trolls to provide valuable military insight, particularly regarding the realities of warfare. Their presence on the council bridges the gap between the empire’s political leadership and its battlefield commanders, ensuring that the needs of the warriors are met and that their strategic input is given due consideration.
Dire trolls are not just seen as powerful soldiers but also as important figures in shaping the future of the Zandalari Empire, cementing their place as both warriors and influential political figures within troll society.
I'm still working on giving him some proper armor, but since he's pretty much done in the meantime you guys can have this little reference of my Zandalari dire troll, Jarayaca, in his casual wear and in his undies (tumblr exclusive :D)
Yaca is a primal taking after crocolisks and his loa, Mahamba. He is also part of a pair, with his other half being his partner, Ta'haya 💚💙
[Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes has no fewer than four different types of trolls. I’m only planning on doing two of them, because they’re mostly themed around different damage types, which makes them a little mechanically samey, and two of those damage types, poison and psychic, don’t exist in PF1e. The 5e dire troll doesn’t really gain any mechanical advantage for having all these accessory eyes and faces, but I wanted to give them at least all-around vision.]
Dire Troll
CR 13 CE Humanoid (giant)
This warty green creature has four arms, each of slightly different length, and multiple heads jostling for position on its shoulders. Its flesh visibly roils and shifts, revealing mismatched sensory organs and fingers growing along it in weird ways.
Trolls will happily eat other sapient creatures, including other trolls. Since most trolls eschew the use of acid or fire, fights that end even in one consuming the other will result in the loser regenerating, as long as some part of it is left intact. If a troll feeds on its fellows regularly, it may grow in size and strength. When such a cannibal troll begins to not only eat troll meat, but attach it to their wounds and allow the severed parts to grow into their own bodies, they will become a dire troll. Dire trolls continue their cannibalistic activities, and may bully a gang of lesser trolls into serving it as cannon fodder and occasional meals.
The extra limbs and heads of a dire troll are not quite perfectly coordinated. Extra heads can be used as lookouts, and extra limbs will claw and slash, but a dire troll cannot rend flesh quite as efficiently as a regular troll. Their regeneration is vastly superior; a dire troll must be struck repeatedly with acid or fire in order to stop their regrowth, and these creatures are very difficult to kill. Dire trolls are stubborn and stupid, and often fight to the death, confident that their strength will overcome even magic, acid or fire.

Here's one for you DM's that want a battle where your players RUN AWAY!
The players are walking across a forest, when they find a clear hill in a clearing. If the players decide to go through the clearing, via going over the hill, as they get to the top, they will feel a rumbling & the ground will start to move a bit.
Once the players get off of the hill, the hill will stand up & show itself to be very tired & angry Dire Troll. Cue it looking at the players, noticeably direct it's anger towards them. If the party is in the higher levels (13+) they could feasibly take this enemy on, besides that they will have to run away from this massive threat. If the party is strong enough to take the dire troll on, once it reaches half hp, it will start to run away from the party.
Nonetheless, once the chase starts, cue tropes based around forest chases (ie jumping over fallen trees, branches that you move out of the way that hit the person behind, small holes that have to be jumped over, ect), eventually the chase ends when the Troll falls into a rather big hole.
