It’s been a weird couple of months right here.
I’ve started seeing my DID in a new light, instead of seeing it like “theres people in my head” I’m now seeing it as “all those parts of me I thought were stripped away, they’re right here. I’m not a husk of a person any more!” It sounds so optimistic and positive, but I’m also grieving. I feel like a jigsaw puzzle that some pet has gotten into and knawed all the pieces, they don’t really fit back together again, but they’re not really all right either. If you squint through one eye you can almost say “Yay, we have a full puzzle!” but as soon as you look properly every part is broken and freyed and it doesn’t really loo like the original image.
the hope is there, but the process hurts.

DID - On Self-Doubt
A shorter excerpt today, from our blog post titled, "Lani - A Life as 'Multiple' and Introducing Us" (full version on our website, lanisystem.com). It took a rocky and overwhelming few years to figure out that we had DID, and to understand that we were a system. It's something we still struggle with today. But it was also a rewarding experience, once I knew how to manage being a system.
Systems Q&A: What was it like when you DIDN'T yet know that you were a system or had DID?
DID - On Dissociation & Being "Multiple"
An excerpt from our blog post, titled "Lani - A Life as 'Multiple' and Introducing Us". The full post is available on our website, at lanisystem.com. Our system struggles quite a lot with dissociation, as many systems do. It was particularly hard when we didn't KNOW we were a system, and didn't have the words to explain how we felt. Everything felt indescribable.
Systems Q&A: How/when did you realize that you were a system?
"The Synergy as the Silver Hydra" By Camille the Chameleon . A rather personal sketch of a portrait for the #SilverSynergy through the eyes of Cam... You see each Personality has a different perception of what we are and for Cam, we're a monster :( Too many heads in one body. We learned to function as one but doesn't change the fact that not all of us are right (some are left lol). Different opinions divide us and each compromise doesn't really give us the satisfaction of being whole... Being the main front or facade of our existence, Camille needed to be manipulative. We needed to adjust to survive and depending on who or what we're facing, she's our brave (or pretending to be brave) front. She deals with the outside world and of course this affects how she views us. A part of others' opinions stays with her (that's how she knows what and how to adjust). And the prevalent opinion of those with multiple personalities is: we're freaks. Despite the seemingly negative aspect, Cam loves us. When the Axis failed, the Synergy decided it's core values needed something aside from "our truth"... It needed "our love". So as I begin this over due #ArtSeries , it's worth emphasizing that no matter how bad we think we are, we love us. "I" love "myself". . NOTE: NEVER self-diagnose. The reason why I never got tested is because I'm high-functioning and having multiple personalities never hindered me from life and responsibilities---much. Still, I refrain from saying I have a mental disorder...just challenges and conditions . #sketchupwithkaweco #multiplepersonalities #dissociativeidentity #smbrodit_sketches https://www.instagram.com/p/CECZth5nMnK/?igshid=nx7nsn2f7982
