Listen Guys..

I've had these designs cooking for ages now (Undergrowth was my nemesis) for an AU/jumble of multiple AUs that sprung up from a larger analysis of the Ghost Zone's more powerful ghosts. The thing is... since Ive had these designs sitting for a minute, Im not happy with several of them anymore :((

So... I don't really feel like explaining my whole analysis + apprenticeship AU, BUT I also didn't want to let these just sit and rot on my computer.

(Now these are sorta top-to-bottom my favorites of the designs but not really & hopefully it's obvious which ghosts each one is based on. or check my tags, they're in order)

And now... my UNDERGROWTH Danny...... I struggled. On the left, I got all the way to competing the character page before realizing I hated it, decided I had to go back to the drawing board, then the final that I landed on.

Also, I think I should say the one with the purple cloak and green wings is based on the Ancients bc its the only I feel isn't obvious enough.

Part 1 (There is a trial.)

You don't get to be a god without a small piece of you getting reincarnated. Though they kinda wish they knew when that small piece of them is in the reincarnation cycle.

Ghost Lawyer: -Danny Phantom, the defeater of Pariah Dark is called to the council under the pretense that Amity Park is grave and not his hunt that he led us to believe. Johnny 13 is called by the commission to be Phantom's witness as he foretells the Realms that Amity Park is Phantom's Grave instead of Danny Phantom himself.

Meanwhile

Johnny 13: Yeah I know *he scratches his head as he checks over Danny* dick move and I shouldn't have done that but on the bright side. *Jazz hands* No more ghost attacks.

Phantom: *Growls*

Johnny 13: I know this is not an ideal situation. *He gestures to the muzzle, power suppression cuffs, and ankle chains attached to metal balls that keep him on the ground.* But when the court agrees that we- I'm telling the truth, you'll get your full powers.

Phantom eyes widen as he begins to thrash: *He begins banging his cuffs onto the ground and growling, to the point that nearby ghosts have to restrain him, and other nearby ghosts force him into a straight jacket.*

Johnny 13 could only calm Phantom down when they were called to the courtroom.

The courtroom

Ghost Lawyer: The court would like to call Danny Phantom to the stand.

A ghost wheels Phantom to the stand takes the straight jacket off him, and forces him to stand. The ghost leaves. Johnny sits on one of the benches.

Phantom: *Glares at the ancients on the podium*

Pandora: The council has seen the evidence and agreed that Amity Park is Danny Phantom's grave. Therefore-

Johnny 13: *Smiles and clutches his hands in anticipation*

Phantom: *Glares harder*

Ghost Lawyer gets up and bows: I have already made preparations to inform the Realms about this wonderous news-

Pandora: -We, as the Rulers of the Realms, DO. NOT. Recognize Amity Park as the grave of, The Great One; Defeater of Pariah Dark, Danny Phantom.

Ghost Lawyer & Johnny looks towards the counsel in shock: Wha-

Phantom: *Lessens his glare and relaxes a little*

The Ghost Lawyer and Ancients argue back and forth as Phantom stands silently with a relaxed face as if reminiscing about the past.

Phantom: ......

Johnny was not like Phantom, who seemed to accept his fate, or the Ghost Lawyer who could argue back at the ancients. The authorities of the Realms. But as the witness he has to do something.

Johnny stands up: As the witness, I feel like I also have a say in this.

*Johnny 13 has decided to roll for a persuasion check.*

Johnny: It is known that a being who turned into a ghost has the basic abilities of a ghost and their own powers that they had once alive. The council was created to help ghosts find and accept their grave for not only the betterment of the ghost but the Realms itself. Therefore, as a halfa wouldn't it be useful for Phantom to have access to his full potential and for the betterment of the Realms.

*Johnny 13 has rolled a nat 1 on the persuasion check. Persuasion check has failed.*

Pandora: And, for that reason. For the betterment of the Realms, we do not recognize Amity Park as a grave. End. Of. Discussion.

Ghost Lawyer looks down at their clutched hands before shooting their head up to look straight at Pandora: Then you leave me no choice, Lady Pandora.

Pandora: *Squints her eyes in confusion before widening in realization.*

Ghost Lawyer raises their hand to gesture to the seat behind the Ancients: I call upon the vessel of Zeus to the stand.

Phantom snaps out of his relaxed state, eyes filled with panic and rage: *Low growl*

Johnny looks over in confusion: ......

The Ancients turn to the chair in anticipation: ......

???: Kekeke-

The chair turns around and reviled Vladimir Masters with yellow electronic-filled eyes.

Vladimir Masters: Well this just got interesting.

Pariah Dark having a teenage daughter is a fascinating idea I have not seen before. How would her existence change things? How would everything that happens with Pariah affect her? All of that sounds so interesting!

+The thing I love about her design is that she has her own unique look, but I could still immediately tell she was related to Pariah.

I love the concept of Eekel! It feels exactly like something that could exist somewhere deep inside a GIW facility. More I think about it more horrific its fate feels –Not having any concept of who it used to be and being made to serve the organization that captured and experimented on it until there was barely anything left 🥲 How it ended up like this is just really fucked up. And like Eekel is fine where it is, it is the facility, it doesn't desire to leave. It doesn't harbor resentment. (But like I sure do from its behalf!!!)

This is getting long so I'm putting my event thoughts here: I had fun, which is honestly the most important thing ☺️

Halloween Horror has previously only existed in the pages of my sketchbook so it was fun to actually do some full drawings of them + to decide their color palette (I had general idea in mind but hadn't actually tried it out). I think my favorite prompt was the "beach episode" it was a fun one to draw and I loved seeing what everyone else came up for it.

There were again so many interesting OCs I couldn't choose only one for the last day so I went with two!

DP Headcannon:

The Behemoth protecting the skeleton key is Pandora's pet. As a young ghost, she rescued him as a baby in the wreckage of one of Pariah's rampages and nursed him back to health in the ruins of her home.

He likes chin scratches and rough play. When he sees her, he tackles her, leaving craters in their wake. He's fiercely loyal to only her and actively hunts anyone else who enters his domain like a lion.

The other ancients stationed him in an abandoned area with the key because of this.

Clockwork and Nocturn are his least favorite and he will maim them on sight. Vortex keeps a respectable distance, and Undergrowth just refuses to go near him.

Frostbite, the creator of the key, is sometimes an exception.

BUT!

He must bring a snack.

With DP crossover fics (or at least DPxDC since that’s primarily what i’ve looked at), I’ve often seen fics have it be that the gods are actually just powerful ghosts that relate to those things (i.e. the “Ancients”), and that different religions just refer to them differently.

And I’m generally fine with that as a concept but I feel like it’s a bit… underwhelming at times because the stories feel like they’re going “…but only the DP ghost’s version of them is canon, while other versions are distortions of the truth or based on their old personalities that have since completely changed or etc.”

Which feels to me like it’s kinda undercutting those gods they’re bringing up. Those entities usually have their whole own stories attached to them! Think of all the possible plot threads that could be opened up if they’re still impacting the story!!

Dream the Endless carries plenty of plot threads that Nocturn on his own might not fit into—sure some things like when Dream was captured could probably be fit into Nocturn’s past, but what about when Dream died and was replaced by/reincarnation as the human Daniel Hall? I don’t know if you could make that work without having to majorly rework at least one of the characters.

Is Clockwork the father of the Endless (as the entity known as Time), the father of the Olympians (as the titan Cronus), or both, or neither? What would any of those options mean for the greater cosmology? Also, is he willingly estranged from reality and doing his own thing in the Realm of Time, trapped in Tartarus and plotting his escape/revenge, or somewhat free to move around but held at the behest of the Observants? What if a story wants to have the titans escape Tartarus (a thing which has happened in DC comics)?

And that’s not even getting into any of the “less major” gods with similar domains one might try to connect (e.g. if Clockwork is Cronus, then the Olympians presumably must be realms ghosts too, so is Zeus Vortex? If yes, then what about other storm gods like Thor? Are they all Vortex? Or if not, what’s the distinguishing factor that makes some gods also the infinite realms entities but not others?)

Certainly you could tie the past events into the ghosts’ histories and get a bunch of jumping off points that way, but some things might be too contradictory to fit together—e.g. if they had to be doing multiple things in different places at the same time (though that’s mainly only an issue if there’s multiple gods being tied to the one ghost) or if certain events require highly contrasting personalities. Plus, even if you did that, it still wouldn’t allow for any current events to make use of stuff from the other version(s) of the god.

So like I think it’d offer up a bunch of more interesting options if the other gods and whatnot were genuinely different entities that thus can remain present.

Or, to reduce the number of separate godlike entities running around, maybe it’d be better to mimic what the PJO/HOO series did with the Greek and Roman pantheons: there are distinct versions of the gods but they’re also sorta one entity that has to transform back and forth.

…though that then might bring back the “doing more than one thing at a time” issue I mentioned earlier (well, unless they can split themselves, but allowing that would basically make them entirely separate entities again). So maybe instead of multiple fully independent bodies or just one singular body, they can be in multiple places but only fully act in one?

Like… Clockwork could be simultaneously in the Ghost Zone, in Tartarus, and in the realm of time. But then when Danny works with him in the Zone, it leaves Cronus and Time temporarily not active in those other spots (or at least not fully active). Or alternatively if Cronus escapes Tartarus and starts taking major actions on the world, then Clockwork’s powers would be on the fritz since Cronus is using them for something else.

Or with Nocturn, when Dream had been captured, his Nocturn facet would technically still be free to do his own thing but would probably be limited by the effect (perhaps not to the same full extent as Dream, but it should be enough that he can’t just fix the situation). And then when Dream died, that version of him did indeed get replaced (thus with Daniel joining the set of different versions of Nocturn) but Nocturn remained as he was.

It’d get harder to balance it all the more separate gods that fall under a specific Ancient there are, but as long as they generally mostly agree on things I think it’d be more or less fine (e.g. an instance of Vortex would likely be fine with some other one making a storm somewhere, so getting the power allocated to do that wouldn’t be an issue. The limits only really come into play if it’s a particularly big action or other instances of the god try to prevent it)

…or honestly at this point i’ve probably made it so convoluted that just letting them be fully separate entities is the way better option for allowing other gods to still actively influence a story with Ancients in it.

- No One Knows AU-

Each ancient is connected to a planet. Danny is connected to Pluto. The coldest and furthest from the sun. This is why he has ice powers.

He doesn’t feel connected to the people around him. He wants to leave and figure out who he is, but he feels like he can’t. He opened the portal and feels like it’s his responsibility to fix it, he wants to leave so bad but he keeps himself there. He’s stunted.

Then something happens, either he gets captured by the GIW, his parents, or he gets revealed to the town and there’s not a great reaction, and he gives up. The towns always been against him, now everyone/his parents know he’s phantom, or he’s not safe anymore so he’s done.

He’s always felt a connection to space, specifically Pluto, after the accident he felt even more connected. Like it was a catalyst of his power or a part of himself he never knew. He digs into that connection, and becomes a full ancient, he’s still a halfa but he’s no longer just a halfa.

I’m imagining he no longer has two forms but one form that brings them both together. He can still change his form, but that’s a power, his base is in between.

Idk who everyone would be

Im thinking only Ancients can consume other ghosts like what we’ve seen Dan do with Clockwork.

So I think the moon or Neptune ate the other making Nocturn.

* Pluto: Symbolizes deep transformation, power, death, and rebirth, influencing profound life changes.

Once again a dad clockwork AU/fic prompt only where everyone else thinks CW is Danny’s dad.

Basically AU where in big fight in amity against some powerful ghosts (Maybe Dan?) everyone is watching Danny fight and then CW steps in to try and help but gets hit, Danny accidentally calls out Dad and goes to help CW. Danny doesn't even realize he’s called him Dad....but everyone else does.

GIW, Maddie and Jack are freaking out because ghosts have parents? "Phantom has a parent? does he mean actually or adoptive or....this changes so many theories. If it’s biologically then ghosts can have kids?? If adoptive then ghosts have enough empathy and emotion to bond and care about a child and we have so many questions!!!"

All of amity is also freaking out because it’s just reinforced that the ghost kid saving them IS JUST A KID!

Vlad is currently being swamped with amity residents wanting they’re mayor to address this and we have to stop attacking the kid! Vlad is both annoyed as hell that all his plans have gone to hell but also apparently Daniel has picked another parent and  it’s not him! and he is pissed mostly because it’s CW one of few ghosts he does not want to fuck with and so is plotting.

Ghosts are not faring much better either the ghost zone is in fucking chaos because Clockwork has apparently become the dad of the kid they have all tried to kill on multiple occasions. THEY ARE FREAKING OUT! Clockwork is a legend he is terrifying and they all apparently nearly killed his kid. In fact a large part of ghost zone are pretty convinced that Danny may like literally be Clockwork kids because yeah he’s half human but honestly Clockwork is the master of time, he controls time if any ghost was going to have a kid with weird powers and able to change to a human it would be him.

The older ghosts and other ancients are all internally screaming because they know who Clockworks partner is. Now all the most powerful ghosts in the ghost zone have cork boards like Always Sunny meme drawing similarities between CW pariah and Danny. They are at this point convinced of a conspiracy in which they had a kid then Pariah went crazy and CW did some time shit to send the kid to the future and somehow make him human? They don’t know they’re freaking out.

Clockwork is trying to explain that no Daniel is not his child, there is no official adoption and no he is not his Pariah’s secret child... No one believes him.

Other ancients: We have connected the dots

CW:NO you haven’t there are no dots to even connect

Other ancients:We have connected them!

Danny is dying of embarrassment in the human world, this is so much worse than accidentally calling a a teacher dad. Tucker and Sam are still dying of laughter... less so when Fright Knight appears calling him ‘my prince’....and isn’t that a weird way to find out the CLOCKWORK IS MARRIED TO PARIAH.

Bonus: Pariah somehow busts out of the sarcophagus and busts into the tower
