im imagining Scry going to ask raloris on how does one confess their feelings to someone they like,seeing as Ralo is with their leader. and Raloris just goes "don't ask me,I for one don't know how or even when I manage to get with Celtic"

Conflictions

The conversation played in her head on repeat. Her questions to the high elf and everything that love entailed for him and his lover. But it clashed so harshly with what she remembers. It doesn't connect.

She’s not dumb. She has noticed how ‘love’ appears to be shown. No. What she remembers can NOT be the love her fellow party member was experiencing. No. You don't ask for the life of the one you love.

You don't.

That's just wrong.

She knows this.

She’s always known this.

So why was that her first thought?

No. Maybe she doesn't love them. Maybe it's something else?

She couldn't possibly sacrifice someone she loves. Nope, that is not something she'd ever do. So why did she think about it?

Why did-

“Hey”, she jumped, “Marcus, I didn't notice you there.”, Scry cleared her throat awkwardly, she must’ve been lost in thought. “You’ve been staring off into the distance for the past hour”, he spoke in concern as they say down, brows furrowed as hazel eyes gazed at her.

…Why was sacrifice her first thought?

“Do you want to talk about it?”, he hummed, a soft smile appearing on their face. “No”, she refused bluntly.

…

If sacrifice is all she sees as ‘love’, then fine. She won’t pursue it.

Such a soul doesn't need an untimely end for the sake of love anyway. It's fine. Unrequited as it may be, it's better this way.

Notes:

In the eyes of an ancient deity, the greatest form of 'love' is the sacrifice of your own life in their name

RPG!Scry kept defaulting to that thought so she even though she likes Marcus(at this point of the timeline in terms of this oneshot), she will not confess.

HA. You THOUGHT I'd give my own sona a happy love life? Hell no, she needs to suffer a bit from intrusive thoughts first ✨✨✨✨✨
