stranger things s5 coming out tomorrow so just wanna say, regardless of whether mike and will become endgame, I BETTER NOT SEE SLANDER ON MY GIRL

s3 of stranger things was where things started to go wrong.

from the very first episode you could tell the show’s tone had changed. you didn’t have that psychological horror element and the dark atmosphere wasn’t there anymore. the plot was all over the place and the russian storyline was just… kinda goofy. and then the battle of startcourt was a glimpse at the ultra marvelized bullshit we would get at s5 finale.

the show should’ve ended in s2. remove the mind flayer from the final shot of the finale and you have a satisfying ending for a show that peaked in that same season and still had its identity intact. eleven closed the gate, the supernatural plot was done, the characters arcs were… fine. not perfectly closed, but a far cry from s5 finale that left us with hundreds of plot holes and unanswered questions. it should’ve ended there.

but ofc you don’t just stop at s2 with a show that was already considered one of netflix’s biggest hits. why stop when the story still makes sense when you can just keep going, milking the audience, making millions, and hey, maybe you’ll get to offend some minorities along the way, isn’t that cool?

Each season, through her outfits we get to see not only who she is and how she feels in that period of time, but also the influence the people in her life has over her. In S5 they are grey, sad, lack any type of uniqueness . She looks like if she was back in the lab, as if shew were not a teenager girl. It is so terribly disheartening to think this is how she dies, this is how we said goodbye to her, as if she were a machine
