Mr. Lancer: Imagine if someone handed you a box of everything you’ve lost in your life.
Danny: Cool, maybe I’ll finally find my will to function.
Tucker: My sleep schedule! I was wondering where that went.
Sam: My faith in humanity! Oh wow, completely untouched.
Danny: Look, it’s my self-esteem! …Oh. Never mind, it’s cracked.
Tucker: Guys, I found common sense!
Danny & Sam: Put it back, it’s not ours.
(Mr. Lancer quietly considers early retirement.)
okay but like. tumblr is great and all, but it never really feels like you can have proper conversations here?? everything ends up in pms (which don’t get me wrong, i love), but sometimes i just want the full-on chaos of everyone yelling about the same thing at once 😭
talking about the tennis boys and girls (and coaches!) we love, the matches that emotionally destroy us, the ships we’re sailing, and the fics we’re screaming over is literally my favourite thing 🥹
so!! if you, too, are terminally normal about sincaraz* (and by normal i mean completely unhinged in a loving way), come join the

we yell, we overanalyze, we share fic ideas at 2am, we collectively melt over post-match interviews. it’s cozy, nerdy, chaotic, and full of people who just get it.
Why Yaoi Is Seriously the Best Thing Ever (And Yes, I’m Saying It)
Okay, so before anyone jumps in with the classic “Actually, yaoi is a very specific Japanese genre with super strict rules and origins 🤓👆” — yeah yeah, I know. But let me break it down my way because honestly, in fandom spaces, yaoi is way more flexible than that.
While yaoi originally comes from Japanese media and specifically refers to male-male romantic or erotic stories—usually created by women for a female audience—people outside Japan (aka most of us in fandom) use “yaoi” way more casually. It basically means any boy x boy (male/male) romance or sex content, no matter where it’s from or how it’s styled.
If you wanna get technical (and I’m just throwing this out there because some folks love the details):
Yaoi = romantic/erotic stuff aimed at women in Japan, with some typical genre vibes
Boys’ Love (BL) = a broader Japanese term for male/male romance
Outside Japan, “yaoi” = a loose catch-all for M/M romance or sex content
Some people prefer to say “M/M,” “gay romance,” or “slash” (slash originally was about fan pairings, but now it’s all over the place)
But honestly? Who cares about all the labels when the content is just insanely good?
Now, for my favorite yaoi content…
Now let’s talk about some of my favorite yaoi ships because YES, I’m that kind of fan and I regret NOTHING 💅✨
First up: Skitzo x the Little Doggy.
Listen. Listen. The whole “killer x victim” trope?? Already wild. But this dynamic?? It hits different. Like it’s creepy, it’s tragic, it’s oddly sweet in a deranged horror cartoon way—and I’m living for it. I actually first saw this ship from my mutual @ruinationz (shoutout LOL) and ever since then I’ve been like “wait a minute… this is kinda fire 🔥??” And don’t even get me started on if anything spicy happens between them—because OH BOY that would be chaotic and violent but also weirdly hot if done right. Idk man, this is what peak twisted yaoi looks like.
Second fav: Dogman x Petey.
YEAH I SAID IT. The Dogman series? That goofy-ass kids book? Well guess what—these two have such a fascinating dynamic like… enemies? Co-parents (kinda)? Existential crisis partners?? It’s giving “I hate you but I also weirdly care about you” vibes. Very fanfic fuel. I have no clue how “spicy” content would even work with them but like… I’m morbidly curious. Feral cat scientist and his cop dog nemesis/homie? Sounds like an AO3 tag just waiting to explode.
Third fav: Craig x Tweek (Creek) from South Park.
Iconic. Just straight-up iconic. South Park making them “canon” in their own satirical weird way was hilarious, but even before that, the fandom had already gone full yaoi-mode with these two. No spicy stuff ofc—they’re literal kids—but in terms of dynamic? Chemistry? Pure “boyfriend chaos”? 10/10. This is one of those ships where you just smile and go “they’re so stupid I love them” and move on.
None of these are canon (unless we start counting Skitzo x the Little Doggy as some unofficial chaos canon because who else is drawing/writing it LOL), but fandom made it real in my heart so that’s all that matters 💖
And BEFORE some conservative Christian comes stomping into my blog like
“😡 Um actually, yaoi is homosexual and that’s a sin!! Here’s a Bible verse you didn’t ask for!!”
—boy if you don’t— 🙄
Like… oh nooo, two fictional guys are kissing!! Whatever shall I do!! 🙃
Seriously? If male x male content offends your holy sensibilities, then I highly suggest you hit that little ✝️🚪 exit button and go read one of those totally “amazing” (read: painfully boring) Biblical stories where a woman falls in love with a man and they get married and have babies and praise the Lord or whatever. 👩❤️👨✨📖🎉
I don’t need your divine judgment vibes on my yaoi-loving corner of the internet.
So kindly… fuck off 💅💖
Anyway, that’s all for now, but honestly?? I might make a post about my favorite Yuri content next too 👀💅
Because girls falling in love with girls? Also peak. Also powerful. Also ✨iconic✨.
So stay tuned for that sapphic chaos if you're into that kinda thing 😌🌈💖
You convince the Mystic Falls gang to have a karaoke night at the Grill. Damon refuses to sing (until you bribe him with bourbon), Caroline sings like she’s auditioning for The Voice, and Klaus surprises everyone by actually being good. But the real highlight? Watching Stefan try (and fail) to rap.
The Mystic Grill buzzed with energy. The lights were dimmed just enough to pass as ‘atmospheric,’ while the neon glow of the newly-installed karaoke machine lit up one corner like a stage from a teen movie. The scent of fries, onion rings, and alcohol hung in the air like a familiar blanket. The usual low murmur of conversation had turned into a crescendo of laughter and music. You stood proudly beside the karaoke machine, arms crossed and an all-knowing grin on your face, surveying the chaos you had just orchestrated.
"You did what?" Damon asked, blinking at you with genuine horror.
"Signed us up for karaoke night," you replied sweetly, letting your voice drip with fake innocence. "You're welcome."
"Absolutely not. I don't do karaoke."
"What if there's bourbon in it for you?" you teased, holding up a bottle like a game show host revealing the grand prize.
His eyes narrowed. "Top shelf?"
"Two bottles. One now. One after."
He stared at you, considering. With a dramatic sigh worthy of a soap opera star, Damon snatched the first bottle from your hand. "Fine. But if I get glitter on my jacket, you're paying for the dry cleaning—and I’m talking about the expensive kind."
Caroline was next up, practically vibrating with excitement. "Oh my god, this is going to be so much fun! I've already got a whole playlist ready. I was thinking some Adele, maybe Ariana? No—wait—Whitney! No one ever expects Whitney!"
You laughed. "Just don’t blow out the speakers."
"Please. I’ve been told I should literally audition for The Voice." She whipped her hair dramatically and walked up like she owned the place.
Bonnie, Elena, and Matt were already seated at a corner booth, sipping drinks and cheering every new performance. Bonnie had a mischievous glint in her eye. Elena had her phone out, clearly planning to document everything. Jeremy sat with them, tapping his foot under the table, pretending not to be nervous about going up next. Matt just looked thankful he didn’t have to sing first.
Then came Klaus, who sauntered in like he was fashionably late to his own coronation. Dressed in his usual hybrid-bad-boy chic, he eyed the microphone like it might bite him. “What’s all this?”
"Karaoke night. You in?"
He smirked. "Only if I get to sing something classic."
"You mean like The Rolling Stones or—"
"Mozart."
"Try again, Klaus."
He rolled his eyes but eventually relented, scrolling through the playlist with a smug little tilt to his mouth. Finally, he chose an old Elvis tune, stepped up like a man about to duel, and delivered a surprisingly soulful performance that had the entire room silenced.
To everyone’s shock—including his own—he was really good. Not just “not bad,” but genuinely, frustratingly talented. Even Caroline’s jaw dropped, her wine glass frozen halfway to her lips.
"Well," she said slowly, "that was...unexpected."
"Thank you, love," Klaus said with a wink, walking off like he hadn’t just melted half the room into collective silence.
Then it was Stefan’s turn.
You handed him the mic, wiggling your eyebrows. "Surprise us."
He cleared his throat, nervously adjusting his stance. "I’ve been working on something... different."
The first notes of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” started playing.
You choked on your drink. The Grill went dead silent. And then Stefan Salvatore began to rap. It was... an experience. Every line was too slow, too dramatic, and delivered with the intensity of a Shakespearean monologue. There was passion—so much passion—but absolutely zero rhythm. He gestured wildly, arms flailing with tragic precision, like he was on stage at the Globe Theatre instead of trying to hype up a crowd.
By the second verse, Damon put his face in his hands and muttered, "Make it stop."
"No way," you whispered, your phone already filming. "This is going on the group chat. And possibly blackmail material."
Caroline was half-laughing, half-hiding behind a menu. Bonnie and Elena couldn’t breathe from how hard they were laughing. Even Klaus looked like he was trying not to grin.
By the end of the night, everyone had sung at least once—yes, even Damon, who crooned a surprisingly heartfelt and haunting rendition of “Sympathy for the Devil” that made even you pause.
The final act was a chaotic, alcohol-fueled group number to “Bohemian Rhapsody,” with Caroline and Bonnie harmonizing, Damon and Jeremy yelling the guitar solo, and Klaus singing the opera parts with way too much commitment. At one point, Matt tried to crowd surf and ended up sprawled across a table of nachos, while Jeremy knocked over a stool doing air guitar.
The group was tipsy, happy, and warm with laughter by the time the lights flickered, signaling closing. You leaned back in your chair, grinning as you remembered Stefan’s rap attempt, Klaus’s Elvis moment, and Caroline hitting a whistle note so high the glassware trembled. Damon raised a toast with his second bottle of bourbon, Jeremy collapsed face-first into a pile of onion rings, and someone—probably Elena—was already creating a montage from the night’s videos.
