I never did finish Silver Snow, but otherwise I've finished every route of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I'm never playing Three Hopes, though. No, I don't want to and I already once pitched my own imaginary successor to Three Houses. It was a sequel to Crimson Flower where we learn about how Edelgard meant well but her empire being built on warfare and violence from the shadows (what with evil vizier hubert over there, a man who's clearly one step away from going and becoming an Edgar Allen Poe character). Anyways, the game was an imaginary sequel hundreds of years later and the plot might've accidentally been a rip-off of Star Wars, but with fantasy instead of space. But I'm not here to discuss that. I wanted to share my three favourite characters from each faction in Three Houses. So let's just do that.
Blue Lions: Ashe, Felix and Dimitri. Azure Moon was my first route, and I love all those characters. But my three favourites are probably Felix, Ashe and Dimitri. I kind of relate to all of them. I really was taken by those characters and their actors performances. I also really like Annette and Gilbert, though. Whatever they have going on in their family drama was fascinating to me. I wish Gilbert had more supports. I really, really liked him and his voice actor. Wish I could've used him more.
Golden Deer: Marianne, Lysithea and Ignatz. This was easy. Those three are the only three Golden Deer members I was immediately drawn to. Marianne and Lysithea are especially relatable to me. Maybe it's because my mom died of brain cancer in 2022 and had been struggling with it throughout life that drew me towards the characters who seem cursed or burdened by death and tragedy. But maybe I also just related to them myself. I don't know. I'm kind of overblowing things to make a bigger note, probably. But I like Ignatz for his fondness for the arts. I didn't like him as much as Marianne and Lysithea, but I still really liked him. Other members of the deer grew on me, but this was my top 3.
Black Eagles: Linhardt, Caspar and Bernadetta. Bernadetta is basically me in some ways. The loneliness and social anxiety reminds me of myself in many ways, and that's basically all you need to make me like her. Linhardt was my first S support, I think. I liked him for elements of his personality like his studious and also socially awkward side, although I didn't really relate to the ability to basically nap anywhere thing. And Caspar was good comic relief measured with a good amount of seriousness too.
Garreg Mach Staff: Alois, Hanneman and Manuela. Alois being terrified of ghosts immediately endeared him to me (someone who hates horror), and then Manuela and Hanneman are the only real faculty I think they monastery even has. The only ones who aren't involved in the religion or in the warrior arts. So they became amazing to me because they were basically the only real teachers, and my favourite people in elementary and high school were almost always my teachers. Oh! But I really, really like Cyril too. So let's just add him too.
This is basically all I'm ready to do. I'm now kind of tired out, and I've already written many notes today. So I'm giving up for now.
