Nitori Aiichiro x Fem!Rin Matsouka fluff
Alternate Universe in which Rin is female and Samezuka was a mixed University
Years had passed since they'd first met at Samezuka, the elite Academy for teens who wished to take their swimming to the next level. Now Nitori taught private lessions; and Rin, his Rin, was an Olympic champion. As he stood at the alter, Nitori recalled their life together so far.
The fiery redhead had seemed so unapproachable at first, with her prickly personality and towering reputation to boot. He used to watch her swim, mesmerized by the passion she carved into the water with every stroke. Samezuka's male swim team was commendable, but the female team was undefeated.
One day she climbed out of the pool and strolled right up to him, drenching, hands propped on her hips. "Who do you thing you're watching, creep?" Rin snorted, and Nitori was at a loss for words.
"I-I'm sorry." He stammered.
"Well.. since you're here, there's something I'd like you to pass along to the boy's team."
Nitori nodded feverishly.
"Wait- it would be better to show you. Come over here."
Legs trembling, Nitori followed the redheaded teen. He bracing himself as she leapt into the pool, splashing water all over him.
"Get in." Rin demanded, her voice serious. Then, before he could back away, she swam to the edge and grabbed Nitori by the ankles, dragging him in fully clothed. A rush of excitement raced up the young man's spine.
For the next hour Matsouka trained him on the tiniest details of butterfly and freestyle, dissecting every movement, every motion.
"Use your arms like blades, keep them straight so they cut through the water." Rin demonstrated, her muscular arms catching light as a thousand tiny water dropplets glittered across them like jewels.
Nitori watched, mesmerized, until she smacked him across the back of his head.
From there on, they trained nearly every day. The boy's team was amazed by Nitori's progress, and he became the team's representative in breaststroke and freestyle. Meanwhile, Rin obtained the title of captain her senior year; and Nitori was always watching her, wanting her, reaching out his arms..
Rin's foster father Russell walked her down the aisle, a long way from his Australian home. But he was beaming, and all eyes seemed to be drawn to the bride as though by magnetic force.
Rin looked beautiful. Her wine colored hair was pulled back in a simple braid, and a thin veil did little to hide her nervous excitement. The dress she wore was plain and unbeaded, cut mermaid-style (of course) with a tasteful slit tracing along her toned calf. Nitori's heart beamed.
Russel pulled Rin into one final embrace before giving her away, and as she drew closer Nitori saw that her eyes were red and stained with tears. "N-Nitori." Rin stammered, standing beside him. "I told them to use the waterproof mascara.."
After the ceremony, Nitori took his new bride out to the garden, which was lit ablaze with strands of electric light. On a bench beside a rosebush they embraced; and Rin claimed another kiss, nipping her sharp teeth along Nitori's lower lips. The gray-haired young man ran his thumb along the band of the ring he'd given her, a silver band encrusted with aquamarine and ruby. The former gem represented the sea, while the latter symbolized Rin's scarlette eyes, which somehow still flowed with a steadfast rain of tears. Despite her rough exterior, Rin really was quite soft.
"So, what's next?" Nitori stroked Rin's hair, which was gradually slipping free of it's earlier arrangement.
"I'll swim in the next summer Olympics, of course, then maybe we can settle down for a little bit. What's your opinion on kids?"
Nitori's blue eyes went huge. "I-I like them! A lot!"
Rin chuckled. "Good. Let's have lots of them, maybe they'll get your pretty eyes."
"And your adorable fangs." Nitori giggled.
"Hey! I wasn't born with these!" Rin whined, before bursting into laughter. Nitori found himself grinning too, as he pulled his wife into a tight embrace
"Oi." Rin grumbled. "Are we going home or what?" Nitori's eyes narrowed, gaining a mischevious glint. Without warning, he scooped up the redhead in his arms bridal-style. "Let me down!" Rin cried. "I'm too heavy!"
"Nonsense." Pressing his lips to Rin's forehead, Nitori readjusted his grip on the woman he loved before carrying her to the parking lot. It was going to be a beautiful night, and a blessed life.
