“It’s probably not the best idea for us to do this,” Oscar says, looking away. “We’re living together, and the contract—”
“Fuck the contract,” Lando interrupts, exasperated. “We can add a clause to it or something, I dunno. It can be like those stupid rom-coms where they agree not to fall in love with each other.”
Oscar Piastri is a lonely, closeted F1 driver who's one mistaken hook-up away from certain ruin. Lando Norris is a down-on-his-luck photographer who's three days away from eviction. When Lando tries to mug Oscar in a desperate attempt to keep his housing, Oscar proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement: Lando lives with Oscar as his companion for one year. After that, they're free to go their separate ways. A rock-solid NDA and no hard feelings. What could go wrong?

This was the more fun idea I had for Iron Steed as sort of a "cover," based on what Rose sees in her Mold Vision. (Somehow she doesn't find the horse scary, though it/who it represents is friendly to her so....)
I had to use references for the horse as I've not really drawn one, at least not for a long time. I fiddled around with Karl's face for so long then realized it doesn't matter as you barely see it and the horse is the main point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have a...different kind of intro for this fic below, as I already posted the "official" summary earlier, and I find these character summaries below actually give a much better idea of the overarching vibe/conflicts for the central characters:
You're a mutant, a former vet, a cult survivor who escaped, but your mind is still stuck there; the witch and her coven still haunts you. You're a mess barely holding it together, until you meet an old friend. He helps you out, even risking his own life due to your volatility. Then, your friend leaves, asking you to look after his family even though they rejected him. You can't keep the promise, let them be consumed by a haunting from your past. The niece keeps trying to reach you, you're never there. You fail her, over and over.
You meet a man and his daughter. Curious, they're searching for something that could cure them, maybe even cure you. But you find out he's her husband. One of the witch' coven. He is the reason you suffer. Your life was traded for his, because somehow his life is more valuable than yours. And you get it it, damn it. You get it, you see the good in this guy, you'd done it too in her shoes. But you hate it. And the kid needs help, and you know you have what she needs, but you already failed once, and you HATE her mother. You hate who her father is, but you also don't hate him. And you're tired, unstable. You're a monster. You didn't ask for this. You didn't ask for any of this.
---------
You're a father, a mutant, searching for a cure, for a seed of hope your late wife placed that could perhaps save your daughter, save more people. But you struggle, you don't know where to go, you feel you keep failing her, over and over. Then you meet a man. He's...strange, but helpful, he keeps your kid safe, he helps you, you don't fully understand why at first. You don't know of the demons haunting him, the guilt and rage he carries.
Then, the demons become visible for you. You learn he's the ghost who used to haunt your wife, the man whose life she sacrificed for your sake, unknowingly to you. And you can tell he despises her, despises what you represent, but he also needs help, help you can give. But existing in the same space causes him to suffer, and you feel guilt, wondering why was your life deemed more valuable than his. You see the good in him, beneath the rough exterior; where you keep failing, he succeeds. He protects your daughter, he has what you can't find, he picks up where you flail. You learn to care for him deeply, and it hurts because you don't think you deserve to, you don't know how to fix this. It wasn't fair, you didn't ask for your life at the expense of someone else. You didn't ask for this. You didn't ask for any of this.
---------
You're a child, deathly sick, plagued by strange visions that warn you of dangers, keep you on your toes with every new person you meet. You're searching for a cure with your dad after your mom gave her life to give you two a chance. You are so young, gone through so much, but you put on a brave face because your dad is doing it too
You nearly get eaten by wolves, but there's a horse. an Iron steed, and he takes you and your dad in. He's odd, a little scary, but he's kind to you. You feel strangely safe around him, even though he's a stranger. Then you find out your mother hurt him. You struggle to grasp with the idea that your mother would do such a thing, but you also remember how sad she was, how haunted she felt sometimes. And you feel guilty, putting the horse and your dad in this situation where they have to exist under the same roof, because you're sick, and the horse can help, but looking at you and your dad causes him distress. And he's still kind to you, and your father wants to help him, but doesn't know how. Doesn't know if he'll ever let him. And you wonder if your mother was a terrible person after all, and if you're a terrible person too. You didn't ask for this. You didn't ask for any of this.
---------
You're a mother, a scientist who was stuck in a desperate situation, and let herself be used for purposes more nefarious than you realized. You tried to prevent it, to fix it, but it was too late. You still managed to get what you needed out of it, to save the love of your life, but at what cost? Your monsters were now out there, joining the chord of beasts haunting the lands.
You work, for years, you work to make amends, to find a cure, to fix it. You have a child, but she's born ill, sickness you unleashed involuntarily. You're haunted by your actions, by a man whose life you destroyed to save another. There were many such cases, but he's the one that doesn't let you escape, won't leave your mind no matter how hard you try. For years, he's there, haunting you, and it makes you paranoid. You end up separated from your family, you nearly die. You find out your ghost has found your family, and now you pray it won't hurt them because of you, because of your mistakes. He doesn't want to, but you made him like this, you made him unstable. You created this danger. You just wanted to save someone you loved, and help others do the same. You didn't ask for this, you didn't ask for any of this.
Helloooo 💙 this is a little soft launch for the mattyrome fic series I'm going to be writing! They're my favorite and i hate them. First chapter comes out early next week ^^
The series follows Matty and Rome's time together, from moving in to Matty's house to 2am writing sessions in the studio. As they get to know each other, Matty begins to fall for Rome. But, in typical Matty Healy fashion, his emotions soon become a tangled mess...
I'm planning to make it about 15-20 chapters long. Hopefully I can sustain it for that long lmao
As a baseline, I'm thinking a new chapter every week. But don't quote me on it because I'm a master procrastinator and will def be late sometimes.
Everything I write is FICTION. If anyone comes into my ask box and tells me how I'm a horrible person for shipping real people together, I will actually rip my head off
I plan to base this on their general timeline (so late 2017-early 2021). I'll be putting the dates throughout the fics to make it more clear
At the beginning of the fic, Matty is 28 while Rome is 20. While it is technically acceptable since they're both adults, I want everyone to know that I find age gaps such as this icky irl
There will be smut because i'm a whore, but if that makes you uncomfortable feel free to skip it
Any other partners (such as the girls matty dates...and yes he will be dating other people throughout the series for the sake of gay yearning) will be fictional. I'm not going to be out here writing gabriella brooks or something bc that's stupid and crosses a line that i'm not comfortable with
This oneshot that I wrote is not officially apart of the series.
I think that's all for now <3 can't wait for you guys to read it!

New Story Alert - The Heiress and The Second Son (Benophie, Mafia AU, Mature, Chapter 1 of TBD)
Sofia Penwood has been dead for three months.
At least, that’s what the world believes — the closed‑casket funeral, the obituary, the quiet statements from the surviving members of her father’s organization. It’s safer that way. Safer for her, safer for anyone who might try to help her, safer for the child she once was and the woman she’s trying to become.
Living under a new name in London, Sophie keeps her head down, takes a nanny job, and builds a life small enough to survive in. She doesn’t expect Ben — steady, infuriatingly kind, impossible‑to‑shake Ben — to become the one person who sees her even when she’s trying not to be seen.
But danger doesn’t care that she’s supposed to be dead, and Sophie has to decide whether to disappear again… or stay in the one place that finally feels like hers.
Slow burn. Found family. Mafia politics. Medical realism. A woman learning she’s allowed to be loved, and a man who refuses to let her disappear.
An introduction to my Galactica Big Bang @galactica-bigbang fic for this year!!!

Title: Bound By Arrows
Synopsis: Turns out, it's a lot harder to hide your soulmate mark from others (especially your soulmate) while stuck on a Battlestar during the end of the world.
That was the case for Kara Thrace.

I am beyond excited because this one is comparable in length to my one from last year despite taking place between only 8 episodes instead of an entire season and then some like the other one had. This fic isn't as Kara centered as the other one though it is mostly from her pov. It is a Starpollo fic, specifically a soulmate mark AU. It takes place from a bit before season 1 episode 4 to season 1 episode 11. It does follow most canon events, but one significant change is Karl 'Helo' Agathon is not stuck on Caprica, he is still on Galactica. That and of course obviously all the soulmate mark aspects, etc. but beyond those it is canon compliant. I really got into soulmate aus a while ago, especially soulmate mark ones and that's why I started writing this and it turned into what it is now. I love the idea of soulmates having matching marks, and I especially love the idea of having to hide it from your soulmate because that makes it so much more interesting and fun and angsty. This fic is definitely full of tension and angst and all that fun stuff but I promise it does have a happy ending and there are some fluffy and/or humorous moments too. I like to think it's a good mix of both. I hope y'all enjoy this because I really had so much fun writing this. And also my incredible artist @sophloph made an amazing piece of art for it that I cannot wait for you to see!! So a big thanks to her ❤️
She was the kind of girl who lived in words, her thoughts spilled out in the form of novels that no one had ever read but everyone wished they could. You could tell by the way she looked at the world like it was a story waiting to be written. Her messy, coffee-stained notebooks were scattered with half-formed ideas and beautifully tortured sentences. The dark circles under her eyes from sleepless nights spent typing away at her computer only added to the soft, almost tragic aura she carried.
Her hair was the color of midnight, usually pulled into a half-done bun that threatened to fall apart with every step she took, but she never seemed to mind. There was something effortlessly beautiful about her — like a broken dream you never wanted to wake up from. She wore oversized sweaters and ripped jeans, as if she didn’t have the time or energy to care about anything other than the next chapter of her latest story.
And her eyes? Always lost in the space between words, as if she were a million miles away, living out lives that weren't her own. She smiled shyly when she talked about her writing, but everyone could see the fire that burned behind that quiet gaze. A fire that only came alive when she opened up the world inside her head.
But the truth was, most people didn’t know her. Not really. Because she hid behind her screen, behind the glowing pages of her anonymous Tumblr account, and the stories she wrote under a different name. A name no one ever connected to the girl sitting next to you, sipping her iced coffee and typing away as if the world outside didn’t exist.

Chris Sturniolo wasn’t the type of guy who needed to shout to be noticed. His presence spoke for itself — easygoing, with that smile that made everything feel just a little bit brighter. He had this effortless charm, the kind that made people feel like they could tell him their deepest secrets and he’d listen without judgment. With his messy brown hair and laid-back style, he was the guy everyone wanted to be friends with, but only a few could truly get close to.
Despite the fame, Chris never let it change him. He was still that same guy from the cul-de-sac, the one who spent summers skating down the street with his brothers, laughing about stupid things that only they would understand. He was real. He was warm. And that’s what people loved about him.
But under the surface, there was a restlessness that most people didn’t see. He wasn’t the perfect guy, the shiny, polished version the internet saw. He struggled with doubts, with the pressure of being “Chris Sturniolo” — and sometimes, it felt like the weight of it all might suffocate him. Still, he kept pushing forward, always giving his fans a version of himself that was just a little brighter than the real him.
When he wasn’t in front of a camera, Chris spent most of his time with his brothers or in his room, surrounded by his thoughts and his quiet hobbies — like reading. He wasn’t much of a bookworm, but there was something about stories that resonated with him, something that made him feel less alone in the world. So when he stumbled across a random fic online one night, he didn’t expect it to pull him in the way it did. He didn’t expect the words to haunt him.
Hi! I’m inkandintel, and this blog exists so I can scream into the void about legacy, grief, SHIELD bureaucracy, and one emotionally brilliant girl I stuck inside the MCU.

Title: In the Event of Legacy
Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Genre: Canon-compliant character study, emotionally grounded with hints of espionage, found family, and classified chaos
Rating: Teen & Up
Central Character: Estelle T. Dugan (OC, great-granddaughter of Dum Dum Dugan), all of the "main" MCU and Agents of SHIELD Ensemble
Summary: Estelle T. Dugan is the great-granddaughter of a Howling Commando. She’s not a weapon. Not a prophecy. Not a threat. Just a child.
Sharp-eyed, too observant for her own good, caught between the world she’s inherited and the future SHIELD wants to shape.
With S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers in her orbit, Estelle learns what legacy really means, and when even the smallest voice can change everything.
An MCU canon-divergence that blends mission reports, found family, and the quiet moments between explosions.
