not really a story per se, but i wanted to share some "pk hacks" since this is a syscord specific blog. i know not everyone is a pk user, but i thought it could be helpful.
on the web dashboard, accessible through (dash.pluralkit.me) can allow you to set proxies and write bio descriptions easier. you can also toggle the privacy settings of your system if you want to make certain things hidden in the instance you're more covert. pk automatically sets everything as public, so if your IDs (system or alterwise) are known to others, they can view your PK info in their own servers via pk; s (your ID) or pk; m (alter ID)
pk tags don't solely have to be at the end of a name, you can change that with pk; cfg nameformat, to which it will give you the set up you currently have. you can change that by retyping the placements of the tag and name, using the brackets {name} {tag} or {tag} {name} doing this, you can also add presets and symbols to your format, so if you wanted your display name to have "mod" in it, you would do "{name} {tag} mod" if you wanted a symbol or emoji between the name and tag you would do "{name} ❤️ {tag}" and it would automatically set to every alter.
you can use "pk; s (id) -pub" or "pk; m (id) -pub" in servers if you want to hide certain information such as creation date or message count. generally, it hides anything not public since when YOU type your pk sets in, it will show everything regardless of your publicity settings since the bot will register the discord attached to your account (if that makes sense)?
for a last fun one, you can see how many times an alter in your system has talked/sent messages by using "pk; s list -a -bmc".
Did not know about the tag placement stuff. Useful shit here folks!
