Hot take! Just because a system is more comfortable putting info about their system out online, doesn’t give you the right to judge them for not being “safe.”
If that system wants everyone to know that an introject is a religious trauma holder, then let them! If they want to talk about their innerworld to an almost obsessive degree, let them!
It’s not your system nor your place to police someone just because they’re using their free will to do something that you don’t agree with, if you’re worried about them, then communicate with them but don’t think that they’re “unsafe” or “not careful” because they don’t hide information like roles or innerworld descriptions
PEOPLE ARE GOING TO HANDLE THEIR SYSTEM INFO DIFFERENTLY AND YOU HAVE NO DICTATION OVER THAT!!
.
I'm being so serious when I say that it's okay to say doubles dni or be uncomfortable interacting with people with the same source as you
there's a lot of reasons people might feel this way from having delusions, extreme dissociation, having npd, being schizospec, etc.
it's fine to be critical of the word double or be personally uncomfortable with being seen as someone's double, but I feel like a lot of systems are demonising a boundary I've seen very often used by schizophrenic/delusional systems
not to mention that no one is really being hurt by being told to not interact to make another system comfortable. it's genuinely not worth triggering a fellow disabled system just because you don't like their boundary.
by saying that having this boundary is bad or that systems should just "get over it" is essentially telling introjects to source seperate which is both weird and not possible for some systems, especially when they're delusional*
just move on.
THANK YOU. it's so nice to see people in the system community FINALLY starting to listen to us schizospec systems. we get treated as subhuman freaks that need to be locked up in psych wards (which are just organized abuse a lot of the time, but y'all aren't ready for that conversation) by the system community at large and it needs to stop. system spaces are actively hostile and genuinely dangerous for genuinely delusional systems. we're not allowed to exist, we're not allowed to have boundaries, we're not allowed to have symptoms, and we're very often driven out of a community we have full right to be in just as much as any other non-schizospec system. our terms get demonized, our boundaries get purposely broken because it's "funny" to trigger psychotic people, etc. we're constantly fakeclaimed by the community, but still treated as dangerous animals that need to be locked up so that the poor little non-schizospecs won't have to acknowledge that the big bad delusional people exist and are deserving of spaces and boundaries just as much as anyone else.
also, small side tangent, but notice how the term "anti-recovery" is basically only applied to schizospec systems having boundaries. the accusation holds basically no weight anymore considering it's just flung at every single psychotic system. not wanting to get better is also an insanely common symptom of severe mental illness. I find it very telling how whenever somebody is deemed "anti-recovery," they're immediately attacked and ridiculed for being too mentally ill. nobody takes the time to try to help them, they're just immediately ostracized. the system community hates genuinely mentally ill people, especially those that are mentally ill in a way that they can't romanticize or cover up. we were personally abused by a now ex partner system because "it didn't seem like we wanted to get better" when we try so hard to, we just aren't privileged enough to be in an environment that allows us to magically get better at the moment. we're focused on purely SURVIVING.
the community thrives off of treating delusional, psychotic, and/or schizospec systems like absolute fucking trash, and the attitude towards systems that have genuinely "scary" illnesses needs to change. fast.
thank you for this reblog
your reblogs on posts about "double discourse" actually inspired us to make this post and I thank you for being open about it since it's definitely something people need to hear, there is clearly ableism and people undermining others' experiences in the system community
so many systems appear as "accepting of all mental health issues" but immediately rip apart any psychotic systems that don't behave the way they want them to, and it seems like the community actively encourages systems with "scary" symptoms or conditions to hide them. you're right, it needs to change

Saying “oh hey it’s ___ I’m fronting now” when coming into front : Bad. Lame. Boring. Cringe
Saying “hey I’m back and I killed that other guy” when coming into front: Awesome. Hilarious. Based. Literally the funniest thing ever

it's killing me that systems think they are faking or lying because they haven't had other alters front in a while, headspace has been silent, your communication is down, and overall just "feeling like a singlet"
because number 1, cdds have more symptoms than just alters, number 2 it's a covert disorder, and number 3, you are an alter!
no one experiences the same level of their symptoms for any of their disorders every day.
if my avoidance to food due to arfid is more noticeable some days, why is it different for having alters in osddid?
cdds are covert disorders. they will try and hide your symptoms because it's the whole point of their existence. don't blame yourself for a survival mechanism your brain created to protect you!
and I see so many people forget this, especially hosts, but you're an alter! if someone else doesn't front, that doesn't suddenly make you a singlet because you are still part of a system
you can make mistakes or be wrong, but don't fakeclaim or feed yourself misinformation in order to realise that!
one thing I keep seeing is how systems with fearmonger newly discovered systems into not interacting with the online osddid community, which is stupid.
even if you think that there is a lot of misinformation online about the disorders, which I'm not gonna argue against, you're still assuming what that newly discovered system is looking for.
maybe they're not looking for diagnostic criterias or to sift through their trauma.
they're probably looking for community and personal experiences they can relate to.
which is very obviously a common thing for someone who just realised they might have a disorder is looking for.
support. community. comfort.
when I see a newly discovered system online and they ask where they start on system spaces, advice like "don't look around online, just go to (insert medical website)" is not helpful to someone who needs genuine advice from people with experience in system communities.
so, here's my advice to newly discovered systems :
— you're going to get things wrong and make mistakes. it's inevitable, and it 100% happens to everyone, even if someone's been diagnosed for 10+ years. don't be scared to make mistakes, you miss every shot you don't take.
— if you suddenly don't feel like you're a system, your communication sucks, you are frontstuck/no one else is fronting, don't worry. cdds are covert disorders, their whole intention is to not be found. you're not a liar or faker because you don't experience some symptoms of a disorder. (see this)
— look at what is already largely accepted in medical spaces, don't immediately jump into controversial/conspiracy theories
— start off with safe spaces, trying to participate in discourse when you're uneducated isn't going to end well
— figure out what alters do first, in our case and many others, it's a lot easier to "work backwards" when you already have an idea of what role an alter fills in your system before you try to fully find out their identity
— don't get too stuck up on alter labels, if you're lost on what role an alter has or don't even know what a lot of roles are, just focus on what they do for your system (see above)
I have seen too many people fake claim RAMCOA systems, on Reddit and on Tumblr and it got to us a bit (RAMCOA system & survivor) when we first saw it, but now it just makes us angry.
I wish I could be as blind and uncaring to those that went through torture and all of this abuse, but I get to know what the world is actually like and deal with the aftermath while no one will ever believe my story when I say I was hurt so much.
RAMCOA exists, it’s not a conspiracy theory. My trauma is not for internet points but a desperate cry for help because I can NEVER leave the memories of what happened to me behind.
I will ALWAYS be a survivor even if others don’t believe me because I have no choice but to deal with the aftermath of programming and what’s been done to me.
This! People who deny it's existence are disgusting. "They can't do that its illegal"
YEAH AND PEOPLE STILL COMMIT MURDER DONT THEY-
people who think ramcoa doesn't exist or that it's "too cruel and illegal to be true" are the exact type of people who are vulnerable to torture and cults.
EVERYONE is susceptible to manipulation, and when you believe something bad cannot happen to you because "it's not real/overstated," you're "an outlier," or "too smart," those who will take advantage of that naivety will be right there.
not even mentioning the fact that the reason why people can sit in their comfort zones of telling traumatised people that what happened to them wasn't real all while being hidden behind a screen is that the victims are being silenced. average people don't know the true extent of ramcoa and trafficking systems because of people who pretend it doesn't exist.
remember that these people who blame victims, turn a blind eye to abuse when they see it, and spend their whole day telling people that they're not survivors are the ones helping perpetuate these systems while getting "no benefit" from them.
edit : catty behind we-don't-owe-you-misery is a terrible person but I'm still keeping this reblog up because the message still applies
anyone else
Not as much as a positive post like previous one but !!
To those who have read Sophie's (the tulpa/endo account) post, just remember:
They cannot hurt you, they will not hurt you, nobody is going out to get you. Your therapist is not going to be pro endo or try to backstab you for being anti endo. Your family and friends do love you. Syspunk and any other system safespace will not be taken over by endos.
I'm sure I'm forgetting other things they said, but the bottom line is: You are safe, no one is out to get you, the endos will not win, and most importantly: you are loved, and it's going to be okay <3
Try to get comfortable, maybe wrap yourself up in a blanket, and just take deep breaths. You are safe, I promise.
Just saw someone asking why there are anti-endo maladaptive daydreamers
As someone with maladaptive daydreaming DISORDER, do you think people fucking choose to have it?? It’s like asking why there are anti-endo autistic people, as if people choose to be autistic.
I didn’t ask to be traumatised enough to have DID and MaDD. MaDD isn’t fun. It’s not a “fun fantasy world” experience, it’s a disorder that can ruin your fucking life. I lost my childhood to this disorder. I will likely lose most of my adulthood to this disorder. It’s not a positive experience, and it’s barely even a healthy behaviour. It’s also caused by trauma, y’know, like systems are.
What the fuck do you think MALADAPTIVE means?? I’ll give you a hint, it doesn’t mean “healthy”. If you have MaDD, you have a disorder. Stop taking parts of trauma and trying to make them “fun”, because they aren’t.
-🌸
yall wtf did endos do to you rhat their mere existence makes you hatw them
let's see!
1. cause the stigma against complex dissociative disorders to get worse
2. cause fakeclaiming of systems to get significantly worse
3. spread medical misinformation nonstop about a very specific type of mental illness that is already extremely misunderstood by 98% of the population
4. harass people for simply not wanting to interact with ableists that constantly try and invade spaces they know are not meant for them
5. have made it actively harder to get diagnosed or medically recognized with OSDDID. doctors are taking us less seriously because of their shit. and don't you dare tell me it doesn't happen because I have experienced it firsthand and so have multiple of my close friends
6. have boiled down what is essentially PTSD in its absolute worst, most intense form to just "OMG haha funny characters in my head! >//<"
7. have tried to treat and compare literal medical disorders to being trans when both trans people and disabled people are actively going through genocides at the moment. if the term "sysmed" does not make you violently repulsed, every single trans person and especially every single xenogender user has the right to throw rocks at you
8. repeatedly refuse to respect the most simple and basic of boundaries
I could go on but it's 8 in the morning. you want a longer list? cuz I'm not afraid to give it. do not piss me off today I think it should be VERY fucking obvious why the visibly disabled transgender RAMCOA system doesn't like endos. either come here to learn something or get off my blog, thanks
kinda gay to be a system
casual reminder that alters can't have disorders the rest of the system/the brain doesn't have
disorders, like systems, exist and develop inside the brain. when a system has a disorder, the whole system has it
not one alter can just have one disorder, many people who think this are actually just talking about symptom holders or alters with traits of disorders
our protector for example has heavy npd traits, however we don't think we have npd because none of the other alters/the system as a whole doesn't have symptoms of npd
reminder that you don't exactly need more trauma to split alters
the brain forms alters as it needs, if there is something that the system cannot handle or there is a gap in who is filling their needs then an alter can be split
every alter exists for a reason, even if it seems like there is none
(this doubly applies to polyfrag and autistic systems)
as a system of colour, I just want to set stuff straight about alter race.
alters can have different skin colours to the body, but that does not make them a different race than the body. skin colour is just part of someone's appearance while race has multiple factors to it such as culture.
being a poc is an experience that only someone who is bodily a poc will understand, hence why "alter race" is just impossible.
it's like how an adult alter in a minor bodied system will not have the same mentality as an actual adult since the brain only has the experience of a minor to base that alter off of.
also I know that I've been focusing on poc, but this applies to any race
