softstatics presents : habits of mine that barry has adopted and vice versa.
what’s an alarm?
yall know this man is always late, like no matter how many times i put alarms back to back for him, guess who has to climb over him to turn the off? me. and he has the audacity to pull me back to bed after i turned them off. he’s naturally warm it lulls me back to sleep, and guess what? i’ve adopted his habit of running late in the mornings.
nightly decisions.
bc of my newly formed habit of walking up late and somehow sleeping through two alarms, i started to lay out clothes the night before so i wouldn’t leave a mess like someone i know (he’s punished by doing laundry trust me) it took barry a month after watching me do it, and a month of laundry days to do it as well. but don’t let that fool you, he still manages to make a mess somehow.
sugar with a hint of coffee
i hate coffee. i hate it. trust me, im a hispanic/latina woman who’s whole family drinks it. and i absolutely cannot get over the taste. but when your boyfriend is a superhero and your part of his team, nights get very late on top of your actual work. guess what my boyfriend did? he’ll somehow added coffee to my hot chocolate in small doses. this motherfucker don’t even drink coffee, he drinks sugar with a shot of coffee. now, i can tolerate it an extent so know guess what? we drink coffee together the days we don’t have work. more like i take a shot of espresso, and he drinks his sugar.
handsy weirdo.
when i get bored or space out, which is on a daily bases especially when team flash nerds out right, i started to play with barry’s hand. it became a habit before we dated, we had this weird shit going on, but three months in after i stated this habit his hand immediately finds mine. he plays with my hand when im talking to linda or iris about some photos for their reports.
puppy tilt.
i tilt my head when i’m confused. every single time. i’m not kidding, ask anyone. barry pointed out that it tilts right when i’m confused and left when weirded out. it’s a habit i get teased by a lot, so barr started to copy me, and after a month into dating, guess who’s laughing now bitch! he does it too unconsciously.
blowing bubbles.
i always blow on my food before i eat it. i’ve had this habits since i was a baby. and bc i don’t eat bc i forget to do so, barry made it a habit to feed me. he started to see that no matter if the food was cold or hot i would always blow on it. so he started to do it for me. and after months of doing it for me he started to it with his food as well.
