Mentally unstable Reader

★ You were always a little bit crazy. But now, you like to think you're a different flavor of crazy. Your instability isn’t loud. Not all the time. Usually, the day is spent in between thoughts. Spacing out while humming a melody that loops.

★ But that was before things got bad. The first person to notice was Gangle. Taking a peek into your sketchbook, left inside the pillow fort. Only to see strange symbols she couldn't tell the meaning of. Frantic strokes messily strewn about the pages.

★ She never told the others. She didn't know how. And this mentality was carried as everyone else began to notice. Growing concerned with your increasingly erratic behavior. But no one knew how to help.

★ According to you, you sleep with your eyes open. Though this has yet to be confirmed. Whenever Jax sneaks into your room, you're not there. Probably curled up somewhere else. Really, nobody’s sure if you sleep at all. Not even you!

★ Speaking of Jax, he's slightly nicer to you than he is to the others. Like how he treats Kinger. But if anybody asks, he shrugs casually and says, "Messing with them would be too easy."

★ You refer to your repetitive thoughts as "visitors." Some are welcome. Allowed to come and go as they please. Others aren't. Those ones, you try to lock out. Nailing the door shut. But they climb in through the window.

★ Ragatha flinches when you laugh during serious moments. The timing catches her off guard. But this doesn’t stop her from being your number one advocate. Defending you from the worst of this world.

★ And of course, Caine feeds into your delusions. Making the room stretch in front of you and constantly adding a stalker character to adventures. He gave it a name, too! It's the shadow man! Don't worry. He doesn't want to kill you. He just wants to watch you sleep.

tadc theory about jax and gangle

i think jax and gangle are both victims of childhood abuse and they dealt with it in opposite ways.

while jax' reaction to it was defiance gangles was compliance.

i also think jax' abuse was more emotional and gangles was more physical but thats a whole different can of worms

jax' self defense mechanism is pushing everyone away and being as unpleasant as he can and not getting emotionally attached cause he thinks he wont get hurt if he keeps everyone at arms length and gangles defense mechanism is to be quiet, mask her true emotions and do as shes told cause she was taught perfection is everything and showing youre depressed and speaking up makes you weak and and results in punishment.

I think your theory is pretty interesting and somewhat unique, I don't see a lot of people theorizing that Gangle may have had an abusive family and I can definitely see that being the case, especially if she was pushed to be "perfect" at a young age

Also Jax definitely came from an abusive family, I think it's way more obvious with him and his behaviour, or maybe it's just cause i relate to him XD

Kinger - Insanity or some memory loss (maybe some terminal illness?)

Ragatha - Manipulated and mental abuse

Gangle - BPD or depression

Zooble - Body dysmorphia

Jax and Pomni are the hardest to get. Maybe Jax feels like prey so he pretends to be the predator. Or even a narcissist. As for Pomni, I think she might be anxiety? Or at least the one that will get them out.

Jax also had anxiety or even some guilt after what he did to Pomni.

Also, Caine might’ve tried to kill Zooble. He made the ghost adventure for them, but in order to leave you need to hold your breath. Zooble’s limbs go straight when they hold their breath. They wouldn’t be able to leave.

id like to imagine the reason gangles design is based on the comedy/tragedy masks is because she was a theatre/theater (idk how to spell it) kid and maybe even an actress as an adult (cause shes like 26 or smth idk i forgot what gooseworx said)
