If the U.S. population collectively exercised enough to shave just 1% off the national body mass index we could prevent: 2 million cases of diabetes 1.5 million cases of heart disease & stroke 100,000 cases of cancer . Apparently ‘Some exercise’ IS NOT better than none. . The ‘minimum’ optimal amount of exercise for your health is walking 1-hour each day (want to go more? Perfect!). But it’s not the 20min according to the current recommendations that were made because well, So, the authorities are just hoping to, you know, nudge people in the right direction. It’s like the dietary guidelines advising us to “eat less candy.” .
