Sure Foundation Baptist Church: 3037 Lafayette Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46222 Stephen Falco is calling for all queer folk to either kill themselves or be killed. Don't worry, his church (not really much of a church, it's in a strip mall for fuck's sake) issued a clarifying statement: they're not going to kill anyone themselves...they just want the state to do it for them. More here. Even Fred Phelps is looking up from Hell going "whoa there little buddy, that's kind of a lot." As a resident member of the queer community in Bloomington, I challenge Stephen Falco to a duel (swords, machetes, axes, or rocks) at dawn, preferably in one of the former quarries around the town. I strongly encourage other folks (queer and allies) to bring the fight to him through protest and similar actions. Never let those calling for your death rest until they are ground into the dirt.

Proud Boys' extremist recruiting billboard taken down near Illinois high school

Residents of Breese condemned the hate group's sign, arguing they were trying to recruit teenagers.

BREESE, Ill. — A billboard advertising an extremist group near an Illinois high school was taken down after pressure from local residents. The Proud Boys, a far-right group linked to violence and the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, originally bought the billboard along Old U.S. Highway 50 near Breese Central Community High School. Parents and community leaders in Breese condemned the extremist group’s attempt to recruit teenagers through the roadside advertisement.

5 On Your Side crews returned to the billboard on Tuesday to see crews removing the sign. Residents also told us that they have been calling the Lamar advertising company advocating for the sign's removal.

[...] Monday night, residents filled the Clinton County Board meeting to make their thoughts on the billboard clear. “Seeing messaging like this in our community is concerning,” Bucky Miller said. The Clinton County Board voted unanimously in support of a non-binding resolution against hate speech and bigotry of all types. Around the same time the advertisement was removed from its original site only to be put back up on the other side. “I was kind of like, alright, you’re just going to move it to the other side,” Buscher said. “That’s not exactly the solution we were looking for.” Tuesday afternoon, a crew from Lamar Advertising was back at the site removing the sign.

VICTORY! The disgraceful Proud Boys recruitment ad that was on a billboard near Breese, IL in Clinton County on Old US 50 came down fully, after the message of hate was flipped to the opposite side.
